| 2:2 | That the aged men be sober, graue, temperate, sound in faith, in charitie, in patience. |
| 2:3 | The aged women likewise that they be in behauiour as becommeth holinesse, not false accusers, not giuen to much wine, teachers of good things, |
| 2:4 | That they may teach the young women to bee sober, to loue their husbands, to loue their children, |
| 2:5 | To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God bee not blasphemed. |
| 2:6 | Yong men likewise exhort, to bee sober minded. |
| 2:7 | In all things shewing thy selfe a patterne of good workes: in doctrine shewing vncorruptnesse, grauity, sinceritie, |
| 2:8 | Sound speech that cannot be condemned, that hee that is of the contrarie part, may bee ashamed, hauing no euill thing to say of you. |
| 2:9 | Exhort seruants to be obedient vnto their own masters, and to please them well in all things, not answering againe: |
| 2:10 | Not purloyning, but shewing all good fidelitie, that they may adorne the doctrine of God our Sauiour in all things. |
| 2:11 | For the grace of God that bringeth saluatio, hath appeared to all men, |
| 2:12 | Teaching vs that denying vngodlinesse and worldly lusts we should liue soberly, righteously and godly in this present world, |
| 2:13 | Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God, and our Sauiour Iesus Christ, |
| 2:14 | Who gaue himselfe for vs, that he might redeeme vs from all iniquitie, and purifie vnto himselfe a peculiar people, zealous of good workes. |
| 2:15 | These things speake and exhort, and rebuke with all authoritie. Let no man despise thee. |

| 2:4 | that they enfourme the yonge wemen to be sober mynded, to loue their hussbandes, to loue their childre, |
| 2:5 | to be discrete, chaste, husswyfly, good, obedient vnto their awne hussbandes, that the worde of God be not euell spoken of. |
| 2:6 | Exhorte the yonge men likewyse, that they be sober mynded. |
| 2:7 | Aboue all thinge shewe thy selfe an ensample off good workes, with vncorrupte doctryne, with honestye, with the wholsome |
| 2:8 | worde which can not be rebuked: that he which withstodeth maye be ashamed, hauynge nothinge in you that he maye disprayse. |
| 2:9 | Exhorte the seruauntes, to be obedient vnto their masters, to please in all thinges, not answeringe agayne, |
| 2:10 | nether to be pykers, but to shewe all good faithfulnes, that in all thinges they maye do worshippe vnto the doctryne off God oure Sauioure. |
| 2:11 | For the grace of God that bryngeth Saluacion vnto all men, hath appeared, |
| 2:12 | and teacheth vs, that we shulde denye vngodlynes, and wordly lustes: and that we shulde lyue discretly, righteously, and godly in this worlde, |
| 2:13 | lokynge for that blessed hope and appearynge of the glory of ye greate God and of oure Sauioure Iesu Christ: |
| 2:14 | which gaue him selfe for vs, to redeme vs fro all vnrighteousnes, and to pourge vs to be a peculiar people vnto himselfe, to be feruently geuen vnto good workes. |

| 2:3 | also olde wymmen in hooli abite, not sclaundereris, not seruynge myche to wyn, wel techynge, that thei teche prudence. |
| 2:4 | Moneste thou yonge wymmen, that thei loue here hosebondis, that thei loue her children; |
| 2:5 | and that thei be prudent, chast, sobre, hauynge cure of the hous, benygne, suget to her hosebondis, that the word of God be not blasfemyd. |
| 2:6 | Also moneste thou yonge men, that thei be sobre. |
| 2:7 | In alle thingis yyue thi silf ensaumple of good werkis, in teching, in hoolnesse, in sadnesse. |
| 2:8 | An hoolsum word, and vnrepreuable; that he that is of the contrarie side, be aschamed, hauynge noon yuel thing to seie of you. |
| 2:9 | Moneste thou seruauntis to be suget to her lordis; in alle thingis plesinge, not ayenseiynge, not defraudynge, |
| 2:10 | but in alle thingis schewinge good feith, that thei onoure in alle thingis the doctryn of `God, oure sauyour. |
| 2:11 | For the grace of `God, oure sauyour, |
| 2:12 | hath apperid to alle men, and tauyte vs, that we forsake wickidnesse, and worldli desyris, lyue sobreli, and iustli, `and piteuousli in this world, |
| 2:13 | abidinge the blessid hope and the comyng of the glorie of the greet God, and of oure sauyour Jhesu Crist; |
| 2:14 | that yaf hym silf for vs, to ayenbie vs fro al wickidnesse, and make clene to hym silf a puple acceptable, and suere of good werkis. |
| 2:15 | Speke thou these thingis, and moneste thou, and repreue thou with al comaundement; no man dispise thee. |
