2:1	My lytle chyldren, these thinges wryte I vnto you, that ye sinne not, yf anye man synne, yet we haue an aduocate with the father, Iesus Christe, whiche is rightuouse,
2:2	and he it is that obtayned grace for our sinnes, not for oure sinnes onelye, but also for the synnes of al the worlde.
2:3	And herby we are sure that we knowe him, yf we kepe his commaundementes.
2:4	He that sayth I knowe him, and kepeth not his commaundementes, is a liar, and the veritie is not in him.
2:5	Whosoeuer kepeth his worde, in him is the loue of God, perfecte in dede. And there by knowe we that we are in him.
2:6	He that sayeth he abydeth in him ought to walke euen as he walked.
2:7	Brethren I wryte no newe commaundemente vnto you, but that olde commaundemente, which ye hearde from the beginning.
2:8	The olde commandement is the word, which ye heard from the beginninge. Againe a new commaundement I write vnto you, a thinge that is true in him, and also in you, for the darkenes is past, and the true light now shineth.
2:9	He that sayeth how that he is in the light, and yet hateth his brother, is in dackenes euen vntill this tyme.
2:10	He that loueth his brother, abideth in the lyghte, and there is none occasion of euill in him.
2:11	He that hateth his brother, is in darckenes and walketh in darckenes, and can not tell whether he goeth, because that darckenes hath blinded his eyes.
2:12	Babes I wryte vnto you, how that youre sinnes are forgeuen you for his names sake.
2:13	I wryte vnto you fathers, how that ye know him, that was from the beginninge. I wryte vnto you yong men, how that ye haue ouercome the wicked. I write to you lytel children, howe that ye knowe the father,
2:14	I wryte vnto you fathers, how that ye knowe him, that was from the beginninge. I wryte vnto you young men, how that ye are stronge and the word of God abyeth in you, & ye haue ouercome that wycked.
2:15	Se that ye loue not the world, neyther the thynges that are in the worlde. Yf anye man loue the worlde the loue of the father is not in him.
2:16	For all that is in the world (as the luste of the fleshe, the lust of the eyes, and the pryde of goodes) is not of the father, but of the world.
2:17	And the world vanysheth away, and the lust therof, but he that fulfilleth the will of God, abideth euer.
2:18	Litel chyldren, it is the last time, and as ye haue hearde how that Antichriste shall come, euen nowe are there many Antichristes come alredye. Wherby we knowe that it is the last tyme.
2:19	They went out from vs, but they were not of vs. For yf they had bene of vs: they woulde no doubte, haue continued wyth vs. But that fortuned, that it myghte appeare, that they were not of vs.
2:20	And ye haue an oyntment of the holye ghost and ye knowe all thinges.
2:21	I wrote not vnto you, as though ye knewe not the trueth, but as though ye knewe it, and knowe also that no lye commeth of trueth.
2:22	Who is a liar but he that denyeth that Iesus is Christ? The same is the Antechrist that denyeth the father and the sonne.
2:23	Whosoeuer denyeth the sonne, the same hath not the father.
2:24	Let therfore abyde in you that same, whiche ye hearde from the beginninge, shall remaine in you, ye also shal continue in the sonne, and in the father.
2:25	And this is the promes, that he hath promysed vs euen eternal lyfe.
2:26	This haue I written vnto you concerning them, that disceyue you.
2:27	And the anointinge, whiche ye haue receiued of him, dwelleth in you. And ye nede not that anye man teache you, but as the anointing teacheth you al thinges, and is true, and is no lye, & it is taught you, euen so byde therin.
2:28	And now babes abide in him, that when he shal appeare, we maye be bolde, and not be made ashamed of him at his comming:
2:29	If ye knowe that he is rightuous, knowe also that he whiche foloweth rightuousnes, is borne of hym.

2:3	And herby we are sure that we knowe hym, yf we kepe hys commaundementes.
2:4	He that sayth I knowe hym, and kepeth not hys commaundementes is a lyar, and the veritye is not in hym.
2:5	But whoso kepeth hys worde, in hym is the loue of God perfect in dede: herby knowe we that we are in him.
2:6	He that sayth he bydeth in hym, ought to walke euen as he walked.
2:7	Brethren, I wryte no newe commaundement vnto you: but that olde commaundement, which ye haue had from the beginnynge.
2:8	The olde commaundement is the worde, which ye haue hearde from the beginninge. Agayne, a new commaundement I wryte vnto you, that is true in him, and the same is true also in you: for the dercknes is past, and the true lyght now shyneth.
2:9	He that sayth how that he is in the lyght, & yet hateth his brother, is in dercknes euen vntyll thys tyme.
2:10	He that loueth his brother, abydeth in the lyght, and ther is none occasion of euyll in hym.
2:11	He that hateth his brother, is in dercknes, & walketh in dercknes: and can not tell whyther he goeth, because that dercknes hath blynded hys eyes.
2:12	Babes I wryte vnto you, how that youre synnes are forgeuen you for his names sake.
2:13	I wryte vnto you fathers, how that ye haue knowne him that is from the beginnynge. I wryte vnto you yonge men, how that ye haue ouercome the wicked: I write vnto you lytell chyldren, how that ye haue knowen the father.
2:14	I haue wryten vnto you fathers, how that ye haue knowne hym that is from the beginnynge. I haue wryten vnto you yonge men, how that ye are stronge, and the worde of God abydeth in you, and ye haue ouercome that wycked.
2:15	Se that ye loue not the worlde, nether the thynges that are in the worlde. If eny man loue the worlde, the loue of the father is not in hym.
2:16	For all that is in the worlde (as the lust of the flesshe, and the lust of the eyes, & the pryde of life) is not of the father, but of the worlde.
2:17	And the worlde passeth awaye and the lust therof: but he that fulfylleth the will of God, abydeth for euer.
2:18	Lytell chyldren, it is the last tyme, and as ye haue herde how that Antichrist shall come, euen now are there many begonne to be Antichristes allredy, wherby we knowe, that it is the last tyme.
2:19	They went out from vs, but they were not of vs. For yf they had bene of vs, they wolde no dout haue continued with vs. But that it myght appeare, that they were not of vs.
2:20	Neuerthelesse, ye haue an oyntment of him that is holy, and ye knowe all thinges.
2:21	I haue not writen vnto you, as though ye knewe not the trueth: but as though ye knewe it (& knowe also) that no lye commeth of trueth.
2:22	Who is a lyar, but he that denyeth that Iesus is Christ? the same is Antichrist, that denieth the father & the sonne.
2:23	Whosoeuer denyeth the sonne, the same hath not the father.
2:24	Let therfore abyde in you that same which ye hearde from the beginninge. If that which ye hearde from the beginnynge shal remayne in you, ye also shall contynew in the sonne, and in the father.
2:25	And thys is the promes that he hath promysed vs, euen eternall lyfe.
2:26	These thinges haue I writen vnto you, concernynge them that disceaue you.
2:27	And the anoyntinge which ye haue receaued of him dwelleth in you. And ye nede not, that eny man teach you: but as the anoyntinge teacheth you of all thinges, and is true, and no lye, and as it hath taught you, euen so byde therin.
2:28	And now babes abyde in hym: that when he shall appeare, we maye be bolde, & not be made ashamed of hym at hys commynge.
2:29	If ye knowe that he his righteous, knowe also that euery one which doth rightewesnes, is borne of hym.

2:2	And he is the reconciliation for our sinnes: and not for ours onely, but also for the sinnes of the whole world.
2:3	And hereby we are sure that we knowe him, if we keepe his commandements.
2:4	Hee that saith, I knowe him, and keepeth not his commandements, is a liar, and the trueth is not in him.
2:5	But hee that keepeth his worde, in him is the loue of God perfect in deede: hereby wee knowe that ye are in him.
2:6	He that saith he remaineth in him, ought euen so to walke, as he hath walked.
2:7	Brethren, I write no newe commandement vnto you: but an olde commandement, which ye haue had from the beginning: this olde commandement is that worde, which yee haue heard from the beginning.
2:8	Againe, a new comandement I write vnto you, that which is true in him, and also in you: for the darkenes is past, and that true light now shineth.
2:9	He that saith that hee is in that light, and hateth his brother, is in darkenes, vntill this time.
2:10	Hee that loueth his brother, abideth in that light, and there is none occasion of euil in him.
2:11	But he that hateth his brother, is in darkenesse, and walketh in darkenesse, and knoweth not whither hee goeth, because that darkenesse hath blinded his eyes.
2:12	Litle children, I write vnto you, because your sinnes are forgiuen you for his Names sake.
2:13	I write vnto you, fathers, because yee haue knowen him that is from the beginning. I write vnto you, yong men, because ye haue ouercome that wicked one. I write vnto you, litle children, because ye haue knowen ye Father.
2:14	I haue written vnto you, fathers, because ye haue knowen him, that is from the beginning. I haue written vnto you, yong men, because ye are strong, and the worde of God abideth in you, and ye haue ouercome that wicked one.
2:15	Loue not this world, neither the things that are in this world. If any man loue this world, the loue of the Father is not in him.
2:16	For all that is in this world (as the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life) is not of the Father, but is of this world.
2:17	And this world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that fulfilleth the will of God, abideth euer.

2:22	Who is a liar, but he that denyeth that Iesus is that Christ? the same is that Antichrist that denyeth the Father and the Sonne.
2:23	Whosoeuer denyeth the Sonne, the same hath not the Father.
2:24	Let therefore abide in you that same which ye haue heard from the beginning. If that which ye haue heard from the beginning, shall remaine in you, ye also shall continue in the Sonne, and in the Father.

2:28	And nowe, litle children, abide in him, that when he shall appeare, we may be bolde, and not be ashamed before him at his comming.
2:29	If ye know that he is righteous, know ye that he which doeth righteously, is borne of him.
