1 John - Chapter: 4

>
4:1Beloued, beleeue not euery spirit, but trie the spirits, whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
4:2Hereby know ye the spirit of God: euery spirit that confesseth that Iesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God.
4:3And euery Spirit that confesseth not that Iesus Christ is come in the flesh, is not of God: and this is that spirit of Antichrist, whereof you haue heard, that it should come, and euen now already is it in the world.
4:4Ye are of God, little children, and haue ouercome them: because greater is he that is in you, then he that is in the world.
4:5They are of the world: therefore speake they of the world, and the world heareth them.
4:6We are of God: hee that knoweth God, heareth vs: he that is not of God heareth not vs, hereby know wee the spirit of trueth, and the spirit of errour.
4:7Beloued, let vs loue one another; for loue is of God: and euery one that loueth, is borne of God and knoweth God.
4:8Hee that loueth not, knoweth not God: for God is loue.
4:9In this was manifested the loue of God towards vs, because that God sent his only begotten Sonne into the world, that we might liue through him.
4:10Herein is loue, not that wee loued God, but that he loued vs, and sent his Sonne to be ye propitiation for our sins.
4:11Beloued, if God so loued vs, wee ought also to loue one another.
4:12No man hath seene God at any time. If wee loue one another, God dwelleth in vs, and his loue is perfected in vs.
4:13Hereby know wee that we dwell in him and he in vs, because hee hath giuen vs of his Spirit.
4:14And we haue seene, and doe testifie, that the Father sent the Sonne to be the Sauiour of the world.
4:15Whosoeuer shall confesse that Iesus is the Sonne of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
4:16And we haue knowen and beleeued the loue that God hath to vs. God is loue, and hee that dwelleth in loue, dwelleth in God, and God in him.
4:17Herein is our loue made perfect, that wee may haue boldnesse in the day of Iudgement, because as hee is, so are we in this world.
4:18There is no feare in loue, but perfect loue casteth out feare: because feare hath torment: hee that feareth, is not made perfect in loue.
4:19We loue him: because hee first loued vs.
4:20If a man say, I loue God, and hateth his brother, he is a lyar. For hee that loueth not his brother whom hee hath seene, how can he loue God whom he hath not seene?
4:21And this commandement haue we from him, that he who loueth God, loue his brother also.

4:1Dearely beloued, beleeue not euery spirit, but trie the spirits whether they are of God: for many false prophets are gone out into this worlde.
4:2Hereby shall ye know the Spirit of God, Euery spirit which confesseth that Iesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God.
4:3And euery spirit that confesseth not that Iesus Christ is come in the flesh, is not of God: but this is the spirit of Antichrist, of whome ye haue heard, how that he should come, and nowe already he is in this world.
4:4Litle children, ye are of God, and haue ouercome them: for greater is he that is in you, then he that is in this world.
4:5They are of this worlde, therefore speake they of this world, and this world heareth them.
4:6We are of God, he that knoweth God, heareth vs: he that is not of God, heareth vs not. Heereby knowe wee the spirit of trueth, and the spirit of errour.
4:7Beloued, let vs loue one another: for loue commeth of God, and euery one that loueth, is borne of God, and knoweth God.
4:8Hee that loueth not, knoweth not God: for God is loue.
4:9Herein was that loue of God made manifest amongst vs, because God sent that his onely begotten sonne into this world, that we might liue through him.
4:10Herein is that loue, not that we loued God, but that he loued vs, and sent his Sonne to be a reconciliation for our sinnes.
4:11Beloued, if God so loued vs, we ought also to loue one another.
4:12No man hath seene God at any time. If we loue one another, God dwelleth in vs, and his loue is perfect in vs.
4:13Hereby know we, that we dwell in him, and he in vs: because he hath giuen vs of his Spirit.
4:14And we haue seene, and doe testifie, that the Father sent that Sonne to be ye Sauiour of the world.
4:15Whosoeuer confesseth that Iesus is the Sone of God, in him dwelleth God, and he in God.
4:16And we haue knowen, and beleeued ye loue that God hath in vs. God is loue, and he that dwelleth in loue, dwelleth in God, and God in him.
4:17Herein is that loue perfect in vs, that we should haue boldnes in the day of iudgement: for as he is, euen so are we in this world.
4:18There is no feare in loue, but perfect loue casteth out feare: for feare hath painefulnesse: and he that feareth, is not perfect in loue.
4:19We loue him, because he loued vs first.
4:20If any man say, I loue God, and hate his brother, he is a liar: for how can he that loueth not his brother whom he hath seene, loue God whom he hath not seene?
4:21And this commandement haue we of him, that he that loueth God, should loue his brother also.

4:1Ye beloued, beleue not euery spirite, but proue the spirites whether they be of God, or not, for manye false prophetes are gone out into the world.
4:2Hereby shall ye knowe the spyryte of God. Euerye spyrite that confesseth that Iesus Christe is come in the fleshe, is of God.
4:3And euerye spyryte that confesseth not that Iesu Christe is come in the fleshe, is not of God. And this is that spyrite of Antechrist, of whom ye haue hearde, how that he shoulde come, and euen nowe alreadye is he in the worlde.
4:4Lytel chyldren, ye are of God, and haue ouercome them, for greater is he that is in you, then he that is in the world.
4:5They are of the world, & therfore speake they of the world, and the world heareth them.
4:6We are of God. He that knoweth God heareth vs, he that is not of God, heareth vs not. Here by knowe we the spyrite of verity, & the spirite of erroure.
4:7Beloued, let vs loue one another, for loue commeth of god. And euery one that loueth is borne of God, & knoweth God.
4:8He that loueth not, knoweth not God: for God is loue.
4:9In this appered the loue of God to vsward, because that God sent his onely begotten sonne into the world, that we myght lyue thorow him:
4:10Herin is loue, not that we loued God, but that he loued vs, & sente his sonne to make agrement for our synnes.
4:11Beloued yf God so loued vs we oughte also to loue one another.
4:12No man hath sene God at anyetime. Yf we loue one another, god dwelleth in vs, and his loue is perfect in vs.
4:13Hereby knowe we that we dwel in him, and he in vs, because he hath geuen vs of his spyrite.
4:14And we haue sene and do testifye, that the father sent the sonne, whyche is the sauyour of the world.
4:15Whosoeuer confesseth, that Iesus is the sonne of God, in him dwelleth God and he in God.
4:16And we haue knowen & beleued the loue that God hath to vs. God is loue, and he that dwelleth in loue, dwelleth in God, and god in hym.
4:17Herin is the loue perfect in vs, that we shoulde haue trust in the daye of iudgement: For as he is, euen so are we in thys worlde.
4:18There is no feare in loue, but perfecte loue casteth out all feare, for feare hath paynfulnes. He that feareth is not perfect in loue.
4:19We loue him, for he loued vs fyrste.
4:20Yf a man saye, I loue God, and yet hate his brother, he is a lyar. For howe can he that loueth not his brother whom he hath sene, loue god, whom he hath not sene?
4:21And this commaundemente haue we of him that he which loueth God, should loue his brother also.
