1 John - Chapter: 5

>
5:1Whosoeuer beleueth that Iesus is Christ, is borne of God. And euery one that loueth hym which begat, loueth him also which was begotten of him.
5:2By this we knowe, that we loue the chyldren of God, when we loue God, and kepe his commaundementes.
5:3For this is the loue of God, that We kepe his commaundementes, and his commaundementes are not greuous.
5:4For all that is borne of God, ouercommeth the worlde. And this is the victory that ouer commeth the worlde, euen oure fayth.
5:5Who is it that ouercommeth the worlde: but he which beleueth, that Iesus is the sonne of God?
5:6This Iesus Christ is he that cam by water & bloud, not by water onely: but by water and bloud. And it is the sprete that beareth wytnes, because the sprete is trueth.
5:7(For ther are thre which beare recorde in heauen the father the worde & the wholy goost. And these thre are one.)
5:8And ther are thre which beare recorde (in earth) the sprete & water, and bloud: & these thre are one.
5:9If we receaue the wytnes of men, the witnes of God is greater. For this is the witnes of God (that is greater) which he testifyed of his sonne.
5:10He that beleueth on the sonne of God, hath the witnes in hym selfe. He that be beleueth not God, hath made him a liar
5:11because he beleued not the recorde that God gaue of hys sonne. And this is that recorde, how that God hath geuen vnto vs eternall lyfe, & this lyfe is in hys sonne.
5:12He that hath the sonne hath lyfe: & he that hath not the sonne of God, hath not lyfe.
5:13These thynges haue I wrytten vnto you that beleue on the name of the sonne of God, that ye maye knowe, how that ye haue eternall lyfe, & that ye maye beleue on the name of the sonne of God.
5:14And thys is the trust that we haue in hym: that yf we aske eny thynge accordynge to hys wyll, he heareth vs.
5:15And yf we knowe that he heare vs whatsoeuer we aske, we knowe, that we haue the peticyons, that we desyre of hym.
5:16If eny man se hys brother synne a synne not vnto deeth, let him aske, & he shall geue him lyfe for them that synne not vnto deeth. Ther is a synne vnto deeth, for which saye I not that a man shuld praye.
5:17All vnryghtewesnes is synne, & ther is synne not vnto deeth
5:18We knowe, that whosoeuer is borne of God, synneth not: but he that is begotten of God, kepeth hym selfe, & that wycked toucheth hym not.
5:19We knowe, that we are of God, and the worlde is all together set on wyckednes.
5:20We knowe, that the sonne of God is come, and hath geuen vs a mynde to knowe hym which is true: & we are in hym that is true, through is sonne Iesu Christ. This same is very God, and eternall lyfe.
5:21Babes kepes youre selues from ymages. Amen.

5:1Ech man that bileueth that Jhesus is Crist, is borun of God; and ech man that loueth hym that gendride, loueth hym that is borun of hym.
5:2In this thing we knowen, that we louen the children of God, whanne we louen God, and don his maundementis.
5:3For this is the charite of God, that we kepe hise maundementis; and his maundementis ben not heuy.
5:4For al thing that is borun of God, ouercometh the world; and this is the victorie that ouercometh the world, oure feith.
5:5And who is he that ouercometh the world, but he that bileueth that Jhesus is the sone of God?
5:6This is Jhesus Crist, that cam bi watir and blood; not in water oonli, but in watir and blood. And the spirit is he that witnessith, that Crist is treuthe.
5:7For thre ben, that yyuen witnessing in heuene, the Fadir, the Sone, and the Hooli Goost; and these thre ben oon.
5:8`And thre ben, that yyuen witnessing in erthe, the spirit, water, and blood; and these thre ben oon.
5:9If we resseyuen the witnessing of men, the witnessing of God is more; for this is the witnessing of God, that is more, for he witnesside of his sone.
5:10He that bileueth in the sone of God, hath the witnessing of God in hym. He that bileueth not to the sone, makith hym a liere; for he bileueth not in the witnessing, that God witnesside of his sone.
5:11And this is the witnessyng, for God yaf to you euerlastinge lijf, and this lijf is in his sone.
5:12He that hath the sone of God, hath also lijf; he that hath not the sone of God, hath not lijf.
5:13I write to you these thingis, that ye wite, that ye han euerlastynge lijf, which bileuen in the name of Goddis sone.
5:14And this is the trist which we han to God, that what euer thing we axen aftir his wille, he schal here vs.
5:15And we witen, that he herith vs, what euer thing we axen; we witen, that we han the axyngis, which we axen of hym.
5:16He that woot that his brother synneth a synne not to deth, axe he, and lijf schal be youun to hym that synneth not to deth. Ther is a synne to deth; `not for it Y seie, that ony man preie.
5:17Ech wickidnesse is synne, and ther is synne to deth.
5:18We witen, that ech man that is borun of God, synneth not; but the generacioun of God kepith hym, and the wickid touchith hym not.
5:19We witen, that we ben of God, and al the world is set in yuel.
5:20And we witen, that the sone of God cam in fleisch, and yaf to vs wit, that we know veri God, and be in the veri sone of hym.
5:21This is veri God, and euerlastynge lijf. My litle sones, kepe ye you fro maumetis.

5:1Who so euer beleueth that Iesus is Christ, is borne of God. And who soeuer loueth him that begat, loueth him also which was begotten of him.
5:2By this we knowe that we loue Gods children, whan we loue God, and kepe his commaundementes.
5:3For this is the loue of God, that we kepe his commaundementes, and his commaundemetes are not greuous.
5:4For all that is borne of God, ouercommeth the worlde: and this is the victory that ouercommeth the worlde, eue oure faith.
5:5Who is it yt ouercommeth the worlde, but he which beleueth that Iesus is the sonne of God?
5:6This is he that cometh with water and bloude, euen Iesus Christ: not with water onely, but with water and bloude. And it is the sprete that beareth wytnes: for the sprete is the trueth.
5:7(For there are thre which beare recorde in heauen: the father, the worde, and the holy goost, & these thre are one.)
5:8And there are thre which beare recorde in earth: the sprete, water and bloude, and these thre are one.
5:9Yf we receaue the witnesse of men, the witnesse of God is greater: for this is the wytnesse of God, which he testifyed of his sonne.
5:10He that beleueth on ye sonne of God, hath the wytnes in him selfe. He that beleueth not God, hath made him a lyar.
5:11And this is that recorde, euen yt God hath geue vs euerlastinge life. And this life is in his sonne.
5:12He that hath the sonne of God, hath life: He that hath not the sonne of God, hath not life.
5:13These thinges haue I wrytte vnto you, which beleue on the name of the sonne of God, that ye maye knowe, how that ye haue eternall life, and that ye maye beleue on ye name of the sonne of God.
5:14And this is the fre boldnesse which we haue towarde him, that yf we axe eny thinge acordinge to his wyll, he heareth vs.
5:15And yf we knowe that he heareth vs what so euer we axe, then are we sure that we haue ye peticions, which we haue desyred of him.
5:16Yf eny man se his brother synne a synne not vnto death, let him axe, and he shal geue him life, for the yt synne not vnto death. There is a synne vnto death, for the which saye I not that a man shulde praye.
5:17All vnrighteousnes is synne, and there is synne not vnto death.
5:18We knowe, that whosoeuer is borne off God, synneth not: but he that is begotte of God, kepeth himselfe, & yt wicked toucheth him not.
5:19We knowe that we are of God, & the worlde is set alltogether on wickednes.
5:20But we knowe, that the sonne of God is come, and hath geuen vs a mynde, to knowe him which is true: and we are in him yt is true, in his sonne Iesu Christ. This is the true God, and euerlastinge life.
5:21Babes kepe youre selues from ymages. Amen.
