13:1 | And I sawe a beaste ryse out of the see, hauyng seuen heddes, and ten hornes, and vpon his hornes ten crounes, & vpon his heed, the name of blasphemy. |
13:2 | And the beast which I sawe, was lyke a catte of the mountayne, and hys fete were as the fete of a beare, & hys mouth as the mouth of a lyon. And the dragon gaue hym his power & his seate, & gret auctorite: |
13:3 | and I sawe one of his heedes as it were wounded to deeth, & his dedly wounde was healed. And all the worlde wondred at the beast, |
13:4 | & they worshypped the dragon, whych gaue power vnto the beast, and they worshypped the beast sayinge: who is lyke vnto the beast? who is able to warre with hym? |
13:5 | And ther was geuen vnto hym a mouth, that spake great thynges & blasphemyes, & power was geuen vnto hym, to do .xlii. monethes. |
13:6 | And he opened his mouth vnto blasphemy agaynst God, to blaspheme his name & his tabernacle, & them that dwell in heauen. |
13:7 | And it was geuen vnto hym to make warre with the Saynctes, & to ouercome them. And power was geuen him ouer all kynred, and people, and tonge, and nacion, |
13:8 | and all that dwell vpon the erth worshypt hym: whose names are not written in the boke of lyfe of the lambe, which was kylled from the begynnynge of the worlde. |
13:9 | If eny man haue an eare let hym heare. |
13:10 | He that leadeth into captyuyte, shall go into captyuyte: he that kylleth with a swearde, must be kylled with a swearde. Heare is the pacyence, & the fayth of the saynctes. |
13:11 | And I behelde another beast comminge vp out of the erth, and he had two hornes lyke a lambe, & he spake as dyd the dragon. |
13:12 | And he dyd all that the fyrste beast coulde do in his presence, & he caused the erth, & them which dwel therin, to worshyppe the fyrst beast, whose dedly wounde was healed. |
13:13 | And he dyd grett wonders, so that he made fyre come doune from heauen in the syght of men. |
13:14 | And deceaued them that dwelt on the erth, by the meanes of those sygnes whyche he had power to do in the syght of the beast, sayinge to them that dwelt on the erth: that they shuld make an ymage vnto the beast, whych had the wounde of a swearde, and dyd lyue. |
13:15 | And he had power to geue a sprete vnto the ymage of the beast, & that the ymage of the beast shuld speake, and shuld cause, that as many as wolde not worshyppe the ymage of the beast, shuld be kylled. |
13:16 | And he made all, both small & gret, ryche & poore, fre & bond, to receaue a marke in theyr ryght handes or in theyr forheddes. |
13:17 | And that no man myght by or sell, saue he that had the marke or the name of the beast, other the nombre of his name. |
13:18 | Here is wysdome. Let hym that hath wytt, count the nombre of the beast. For it is the nombre of a man, and his nombre is syxe hondred, threscore, and syxe. |

13:3 | And I sawe one of his heades, as it were wounded to death, and his deadly wounde was healed: And all the world wondred after the beast. |
13:4 | And they worshipped the dragon which gaue power vnto the beast, and they worshipped the beast, saying: Who is lyke vnto the beast? who is able to warre with hym? |
13:5 | And there was geuen vnto hym a mouth, that spake great thynges and blasphemies, and power was geuen vnto hym, to do .xlij. monethes. |

13:7 | And it was geuen vnto hym to make warre with the saintes, & to ouercome them: And power was geuen him ouer all kinredes, and tongues, and nations, |
13:8 | And al yt dwel vpon the earth, worshipped him whose names are not writte in the booke of lyfe of ye lambe, which was killed from the beginnyng of the world. |
13:9 | If any man haue an eare, let hym heare. |
13:10 | He that leadeth into captiuitie, shall go into captiuitie: He that kylleth with a sworde, must be kylled with a sworde. Here is the patience and the fayth of the saintes. |
13:11 | And I behelde another beast commyng vp out of the earth, and he had two hornes lyke a lambe, and he spake as dyd the dragon. |
13:12 | And he dyd all that ye first beast coulde do in his presence, & he caused the earth and them which dwell therein, to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. |
13:13 | And he dyd great wonders, so that he made fyre come downe from heauen on the earth in the syght of men. |
13:14 | And deceaued them that dwelt on the earth, by the meanes of those signes which he had power to do in the syght of the beast, saying to them that dwelt on the earth, that they shoulde make the image of the beast which had the wounde of a sworde, and dyd lyue. |
13:15 | And he had power to geue a spirite vnto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast shoulde speake, and shoulde cause that as many as woulde not worship the image of the beast, shoulde be kylled. |
13:16 | And he made all both smal & great, rich & poore, free & bonde, to receaue a marke in their right hand, or in their forheads. |
13:17 | And that no man myght bye or sell, saue he that had the marke or ye name of the beast, other ye number of his name. |
13:18 | Here is wisdome. Let hym that hath witte, count ye number of the beast: For it is the number of a man, & his number is sixe hundred threescore and sixe. |

13:5 | And there was mouth geuen vnto hym, that spake greate thinges and blasphemies, and power was geuen vnto hym, to do .xlij. monethes. |
13:6 | And he opened hys mouth vnto blasphemy agaynste God, to blaspheme hys name, and his tabernacle and them that dwell in heauen. |
13:7 | And it was geuen vnto hym to make warre wyth the Saynctes, and to ouercome them. And power was geuen hym ouer al kynredes, tonges and nacions, |
13:8 | and al that dwel vpon the earth worshipte him, whose names are not written in the boke of lyfe of the lambe, which was killed from the beginning of the worlde. |
13:9 | Yf any man haue an eare, let hym heare. |
13:10 | He that leadeth into captiuitie shal go into captiuitie, he that kylleth wt a sweard, must be kylled wyth a sweard. Here is the pacience and the fayth of the sainctes. |
13:11 | And I behelde another beast commyng vp out of the earth, and he had two hornes lyke a lambe, and he spake as dyd the dragon. |
13:12 | And he, dyd al that the fyrste beast could do in his presence, and he caused the earth, and them which dwel therin, to worship the fyrst beast, whose deadly wounde was healed. |
13:13 | And he dyd greate wonders, so that he made fyre come doune from heauen in the syght of men. |
13:14 | And deceiued them that dwelt on the earth by the meanes of those sygnes, which he had power to do in the syght of the beaste, saying to them that dwelt on the earth, that they should make an ymage vnto the beaste, whyche had the wounde of a swearde, and dyd lyue. |
13:15 | And he had power to geue a spyryte vnto the ymage of the beaste, and that the ymage of the beast should speake, and shoulde cause that as manye as would not worshyppe the ymage of the beaste, shoulde be kylled. |
13:16 | And he made al both smale and greate, ryche and poore, free and bonde, to receyue a marke in theyr ryght handes, or in theyr forheades. |
13:17 | And that no man myghte by or sell, saue he that had the marke, or the name of the beaste, other the numbre of his name. |
13:18 | Here is wysdom. Let him that hath wyt counte the numbre of the beaste. For it is the numbre of a man, and hys numbre is syxe hundred thre score and syxe. |
