21:12And it hadde a walle greet and hiy, hauynge twelue yatis, and in the yatis of it twelue aungels, and names writun in, that ben the names of twelue lynagis of the sones of Israel; fro the east thre yatis,

21:16And the citee was set in square; and the lengthe of it is so miche, `as miche as is the breede. And he mat the citee with the rehed, bi furlongis twelue thousyndis. And the heiythe, and the lengthe and breede of it, ben euene.
21:17And he mat the wallis of it, of an hundrid and `foure and fourti cubitis, bi mesure of man, that is, of an aungel.
21:18And the bildyng of the wal therof was of the stoon iaspis. And the citee it silf was clene gold, lijk clene glas.
21:19And the foundementis of the wal of the citee weren ourned with al preciouse stoon. The firste foundement, iaspis; the secounde, safiris; the thridde, calcedonyus; the fourthe, smaragdus;

21:1And I sawe a newe heauen, and a newe earth: for the first heauen, and the first earth were passed away, and there was no more sea.
21:2And I Iohn sawe the holie citie newe Hierusalem come downe from God out of heauen, prepared as a bride trimmed for her husband.
21:3And I heard a great voice out of heauen, saying, Behold, the Tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them: and they shalbe his people, and God himselfe shalbe their God with them.
21:4And God shall wipe away all teares from their eyes: and there shalbe no more death, neither sorow, neither crying, neither shall there be any more paine: for the first things are passed.
21:5And he that sate vpon the throne, sayd, Behold, I make all things newe: and he sayde vnto me, Write: for these wordes are faithfull and true.
21:6And he said vnto me, It is done, I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ende. I wil giue to him that is a thirst, of the well of the water of life freely.
21:7He that ouercommeth, shall inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my sonne.
21:8But the fearful and vnbeleeuing, and the abominable and murtherers, and whoremogers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall haue their part in the lake, which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
21:9And there came vnto mee one of the seuen Angels, which had the seuen vials full of the seuen last plagues, and talked with mee, saying, Come: I will shewe thee the bride, the Lambes wife.
21:10And he caried me away in the spirit to a great: and an hie mountaine, and he shewed me that great citie, that holie Hierusalem, descending out of heauen from God,
21:11Hauing the glorie of God: and her shining was like vnto a stone most precious, as a Iasper stone cleare as crystall,
21:12And had a great wall and hie, and had twelue gates, and at the gates twelue Angels, and the names written, which are the twelue tribes of the children of Israel.
21:13On the East part there were three gates, and on the Northside three gates, on the Southside three gates, and on the Westside three gates.
21:14And the wall of the citie had twelue foundations, and in them the Names of the Lambes twelue Apostles.
21:15And hee that talked with mee, had a golden reede, to measure the citie withall, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
21:16And the citie laie foure square, and the length is as large as the bredth of it, and he measured the citie with the reede, twelue thousande furlongs: and the length, and the bredth, and the height of it are equall.
21:17And hee measured the wall thereof, an hundreth fourtie and foure cubites, by the measure of man, that is, of the Angell.
21:18And ye building of the wall of it was of Iasper: and the citie was pure golde, like vnto cleare glasse.
21:19And the foundations of the wall of ye city were garnished with all maner of precious stones: the first foundation was Iasper: the second of Saphire: the third of a Chalcedonie: the fourth of an Emeraude:
21:20The fift of a Sardonix: the sixt of a Sardius: the seueth of a Chrysolite: the eight of a Beryl: the ninth of a Topaze: the tenth of a Chrysoprasus: the eleuenth of a Iacynth: the twelfth an Amethyst.
21:21And the twelue gates were twelue pearles, and euery gate is of one pearle, and the streete of the citie is pure golde, as shining glasse.
21:22And I sawe no Temple therein: for the Lord God almightie and the Lambe are the Temple of it.
21:23And this citie hath no neede of the sunne, neither of the moone to shine in it: for the glorie of God did light it: and the Lambe is the light of it.
21:24And the people which are saued, shall walke in the light of it: and the Kings of the earth shall bring their glorie and honour vnto it.
21:25And the gates of it shall not be shut by day: for there shalbe no night there.
21:26And the glorie, and honour of the Gentiles shall be brought vnto it.
21:27And there shall enter into it none vncleane thing, neither whatsoeuer woorketh abomination or lies: but they which are written in ye Lambes booke of life.

21:1Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, because the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.
21:2Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
21:3And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.
21:4And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there will be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, neither will there be any more pain, because the former things have passed away."
21:5Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, because these words are true and faithful."
21:6And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
21:7He who overcomes will inherit all things, and I will be his God and he will be My son.
21:8But the fearful, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars will have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
21:9Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, "Come here, I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife."
21:10And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
21:11having the glory of God. And her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.
21:12And had a large and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
21:13three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.
21:14Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
21:15And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.
21:16And the city is laid out as a square; and its length is as large as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand stadiums. Its length, breadth, and height are equal.
21:17Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
21:18And the construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.
21:19And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,
21:20the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.
21:21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, just like transparent glass.
21:22But I saw no temple in it, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
21:23The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, because the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.
21:24And the nations of those who are saved will walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.
21:25And its gates will not be shut at all by day, because there will be no night there.
21:26And they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.
21:27But there will by no means enter into it anything that defiles, nor anything that causes an abomination or makes a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
