| 21:1 | And Y sai newe heuene and newe erthe; for the firste heuene and the firste erthe wenten awei, and the see is not now. |
| 21:2 | And Y Joon say the hooli citee Jerusalem, newe, comynge doun fro heuene, maad redi of God, as a wijf ourned to hir hosebonde. |
| 21:3 | And Y herde a greet vois fro the trone, seiynge, Lo! the tabernacle of God is with men, and he schal dwelle with hem; and thei schulen be his puple, and he God with hem schal be her God. |
| 21:4 | And God schal wipe awei ech teer fro the iyen of hem; and deth schal no more be, nether mornyng, nether criyng, nether sorewe schal be ouer; whiche `firste thingis wenten awei. |
| 21:5 | And he seide, that sat in the trone, Lo! Y make alle thingis newe. And he seide to me, Write thou, for these wordis ben moost feithful and trewe. |
| 21:6 | And he seide to me, It is don; I am alpha and oo, the bigynnyng and ende. Y schal yyue freli of the welle of quic watir to hym that thirsteth. |
| 21:7 | He that schal ouercome, schal welde these things; and Y schal be God to hym, and he schal be sone to me. |
| 21:8 | But to ferdful men, and vnbileueful, and cursid, and manquelleris, and fornycatouris, and to witchis, and worschiperis of idols, and to alle lieris, the part of hem shal be in the pool brennynge with fier and brymstoon, that is the secounde deth. |
| 21:9 | And oon cam of the seuene aungels, hauynge violis fulle of `seuene the laste veniauncis. And he spak with me, and seide, Come thou, and Y schal schewe to thee the spousesse, the wijf of the lomb. |
| 21:10 | And he took me vp in spirit in to a greet hille and hiy; and he schewide to me the hooli citee Jerusalem, comynge doun fro heuene of God, |
| 21:11 | hauynge the clerete of God; and the liyt of it lijk a preciouse stoon, as the stoon iaspis, as cristal. |
| 21:12 | And it hadde a walle greet and hiy, hauynge twelue yatis, and in the yatis of it twelue aungels, and names writun in, that ben the names of twelue lynagis of the sones of Israel; fro the east thre yatis, |
| 21:13 | and fro the north thre yatis, and fro the south thre yatis, and fro the west thre yatis. |
| 21:14 | And the wal of the citee hadde twelue foundementis, and in hem the twelue names of twelue apostlis, and of the lomb. |
| 21:15 | And he that spak with me, hadde a goldun mesure of a rehed, that he schulde mete the citee, and the yatis of it, and the wal. |
| 21:16 | And the citee was set in square; and the lengthe of it is so miche, `as miche as is the breede. And he mat the citee with the rehed, bi furlongis twelue thousyndis. And the heiythe, and the lengthe and breede of it, ben euene. |
| 21:17 | And he mat the wallis of it, of an hundrid and `foure and fourti cubitis, bi mesure of man, that is, of an aungel. |
| 21:18 | And the bildyng of the wal therof was of the stoon iaspis. And the citee it silf was clene gold, lijk clene glas. |
| 21:19 | And the foundementis of the wal of the citee weren ourned with al preciouse stoon. The firste foundement, iaspis; the secounde, safiris; the thridde, calcedonyus; the fourthe, smaragdus; |
| 21:20 | the fyuethe, sardony; the sixte, sardius; the seuenthe, crisolitus; the eiytthe, berillus; the nynthe, topacius; the tenthe, crisopassus; the eleuenthe, iacinctus; the tweluethe, ametistus. |
| 21:21 | And twelue yatis ben twelue margaritis, bi ech; `and ech yate was of ech margarete. And the stretis of the citee weren clene gold, as of glas ful schynynge. |
| 21:22 | And Y say no temple in it, for the Lord God almyyti and the lomb, is temple of it. |
| 21:23 | And the citee hath no nede of sunne, nethir moone, that thei schyne in it; for the clerete of God schal liytne it; and the lomb is the lanterne of it. |
| 21:24 | And folkis schulen walke in liyt of it; and the kyngis of the erthe schulen brynge her glorie and onour in to it. |
| 21:25 | And the yatis of it schulen not be closid bi dai; and niyt schal not be there. |
| 21:26 | And thei schulen brynge the glorie and onour of folkis in to it. |
| 21:27 | Nether ony man defoulid, and doynge abhominacioun and leesyng, schal entre in to it; but thei that ben writun in the book of lijf and of the lomb. |

| 21:4 | And God shall wype awaye all teares fro their eyes. And there shalbe nomore deeth nether sorowe nether cryinge nether shall there be eny more payne for the olde thynges are gone. |
| 21:5 | And he that sate apon the seate sayde: Behold I make all thynges newe. And he sayde vnto me: wryte for these wordes are faythfull and true. |
| 21:6 | And he sayde vnto me: it is done I am Alpha and Omega the begynnynge and the ende. I will geve to him yt is a thyrst of the well of the water of lyfe fre. |
| 21:7 | He that overcometh shall inheret all thynges and I will be his God and he shalbe my sonne. |
| 21:8 | But the fearefull and vnbelevynge and the abhominable and murdrers and whormongers and sorcerers and ydolaters and all lyars shall have their parte in the lake which burnyth with fyre and brymstone which is the seconde deth. |
| 21:9 | And there cam vnto me one of the vii. angels which had the vii. vyals full of the vii. laste plages: and talked with me sayinge: come hydder I will shewe the the bryde the lambes wyfe. |
| 21:10 | And he caryed me awaye in the sprete to a grett and an hye mountayne and he shewed me the grett cite holy Ierusalem descendinge out of heven fro God |
| 21:11 | havynge the brightnes of God. And her shynynge was lyke vnto a stone moste precious even a Iaspar cleare as cristall: |
| 21:12 | and had walles grett and hye and had xii gates and at the gates xii. angels: and names written which are the xii. trybes of Israell: |
| 21:13 | on the est parte iii gatis and on the north syde iii gates and to wardes the south iii gates and from the west iii gates: |
| 21:14 | and the wall of the cite had xii foundacions and in them the names of the lambes .xii. Apostles. |
| 21:15 | And he that talked with me had a golden read to measure the cite with all and the gates therof and the wall therof. |
| 21:16 | And the cite was bylt iiii. square and the length was as large as the bredth of it and he measured the cite with the rede .xii M. fur longes: and the lenght and the bredth and ye heyth of it were equall. |
| 21:17 | And he measured the wall therof. an cxliiii. cubittes: the measure that ye angell had was after the measure that man vseth. |
| 21:18 | And the byldinge of the wall of it was of iaspar. And the cite was pure gold lyke vnto cleare glasse |
| 21:19 | and the foundacions of the wall of ye cite was garnisshed with all maner of precious stones The fyrste foundacion was iaspar the seconde saphyre the thyrde a calcedony the fourth an emeralde: |
| 21:20 | the fyft sardonix: the sixt sardeos: the seventh crysolite the ayght berall: the nynth a topas: the tenth a crysoprasos: the eleventh a iacyncte: the twelfe an amatist. |
| 21:21 | The xii. gates were xii pearles every gate was of one pearle and the strete of the cite was pure golde as thorowe shynynge glasse. |
| 21:22 | And there was no temple therin. For the lord god allmyghty and the lambe are the temple of it |
| 21:23 | and the cite hath no nede of the sonne nether of the mone to lyghten it. For the bryghtnes of God dyd light it: and the lambe was the light of it. |
| 21:24 | And the people which are saved shall walke in the light of it: and the kynges of the erth shall brynge their glory vnto it. |
| 21:25 | And ye gates of it are not shut by daye. For there shalbe no nyght there. |
| 21:27 | 26 And there shall entre into it none vnclene thynge: nether what soever worketh abhominacion: or maketh lyes: but they only which are wrytten in the lambes boke of lyfe. |
