>
11:1Then all Israel gathered themselues to Dauid vnHebron, saying, Behold, wee are thy bone and thy flesh.
11:2And moreouer in time past, euen when Saul was king, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the Lord thy God said vnto thee, Thou shalt feede my people Israel, and thou shalt be ruler ouer my people Israel.
11:3Therefore came all the Elders of Israel to the king to Hebron, and Dauid made a couenant with them in Hebron before the Lord, and they annointed Dauid king ouer Israel, according to the word of the Lord, by Samuel.
11:4And Dauid & all Israel, went to Ierusalem, which is Iebus, where the Iebusites were the inhabitants of the land.
11:5And the inhabitants of Iebus said to Dauid, Thou shalt not come hither. Neuerthelesse Dauid tooke the castle of Zion, which is the citie of Dauid.
11:6And Dauid said, Whosoeuer smiteth the Iebusites first, shall be chiefe, and captaine. So Ioab the sonne of Zeruiah went first vp, and was chiefe.
11:7And Dauid dwelt in the castell: therefore they called it the citie of Dauid.
11:8And he built the citie round about, euen from Millo round about: and Ioab repaired the rest of the citie.
11:9So Dauid waxed greater and greater: for the Lord of hostes was with him.
11:10These also are the chiefe of the mightie men, whom Dauid had, who strenthened themselues with him in his kingdome, and with all Israel, to make him king according to the word of the Lord, concerning Israel.
11:11And this is the number of the mightie men, whom Dauid had: Iashobeam an Hachmonite, the chiefe of the captaines: he lift vp his speare against three hundred, slaine by him at one time.
11:12And after him was Eleazar the sonne of Dodo the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighties.
11:13He was with Dauid at Pasdammim; and there the Philistines were gathered together to battell, where was a parcell of ground full of barley, and the people fled from before the Philistines.
11:14And they set themselues in the middest of that parcell, and deliuered it, and slue the Philistines, & the Lord saued them by a great deliuerance.
11:15Now three of the thirtie captaines, went downe to the rocke of Dauid, into the caue of Adullam, and the host of the Philistines encamped in the valley of Rephaim.
11:16And Dauid was then in the hold, and the Philistines garison was then at Bethlehem.
11:17And Dauid longed and said, Oh that one would giue me drinke of the water of the well of Bethlehem, that is at the gate.
11:18And the three brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and tooke it and brought it to Dauid. But Dauid would not drink of it, but powred it out to the Lord,
11:19And said, My God forbid it mee, that I should doe this thing. Shall I drinke the blood of these men, that haue put their liues in ieopardie? for with the ieopardie of their liues, they brought it: therfore he would not drink it. These things did these three mightiest.
11:20And Abishai the brother of Ioab, he was chiefe of the three. For lifting vp his speare against three hundred, he slew them, and had a name among the three.
11:21Of the three, hee was more honourable then the two, for he was their captaine; howbeit, he attained not to the first three.
11:22Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada, the sonne of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done many acts: he slue two Lyon-like men of Moab, also he went downe and slue a Lyon in a pit in a snowy day.
11:23And he slue an Egyptian, a man of great stature, fiue cubits high, and in the Egyptians hand was a speare like a weauers beame: and he went downe to him with a staffe, and pluckt the speare out of the Egyptians hand, and slue him with his owne speare.
11:24These things did Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada, and had the name among the three mighties.
11:25Behold, hee was honourable among the thirtie, but attained not to the first three: and Dauid set him ouer his guard.
11:26Also the valiant men of the armies were Asahel the brother of Ioab, Elhanan the sonne of Dodo of Bethlehem.
11:27Shammoth the Harorite, Helez the Pelonite,
11:28Ira the sonne of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Antothite,
11:29Sibbecai the Hushathite, Ilai the Ahohite,
11:30Maharai the Netophathite, Heled the sonne of Baanah the Netophathite,
11:31Ithai the sonne of Ribai of Gibeah, that perteined to the children of Beniamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,
11:32Hurai of the brookes of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite,
11:33Azmaueth the Baharumite, Elihaba the Shaalbonite,
11:34The sonnes of Hashem the Gizonite: Ionathan the sonne of Shageh the Hararite,
11:35Ahiham the sonne of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal the sonne of Ur,
11:36Hepher the Mecherathite, Ahiiah the Pelonite,
11:37Hezro the Carmelite, Naarai the sonne of Ezbai,
11:38Ioel the brother of Nathan, Mibhar the sonne of Haggeri,
11:39Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Berothite, the armour bearer of Ioab the sonne of Zeruiah,
11:40Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,
11:41Uriah the Hittite, Zabad the sonne of Ahlai,
11:42Adina the sonne of Shiza the Reubenite, a captaine of the Reubenites, and thirtie with him,
11:43Hanan the sonne of Maacah, and Ioshaphat the Mithnite,
11:44Uzzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Iehiel the sonnes of Hothan the Aroerite,
11:45Iediael the sonne of Zimri, and Ioha his brother, the Tizite,
11:46Eliel the Mahauite, and Ieribai, and Ioshauiah the sonnes of Elnaan, and Ithmah the Moabite,
11:47Eliel, and Obed, and Iasiel the Mesobaite.

11:6And Dauid sayd, Whosoeuer smiteth the Iebusites first, shalbe the chiefe and captaine. So Ioab the sonne of Zeruiah went first vp, and was captaine.
11:7And Dauid dwelt in the tower: therefore they called it the citie of Dauid.
11:8And he built the citie on euery side, from Millo euen round about, and Ioab repaired the rest of the citie.
11:9And Dauid prospered, and grewe: for the Lord of hostes was with him.
11:10These also are the chiefe of the valiant men that were with Dauid, and ioyned their force with him in his kingdome with al Israel, to make him King ouer Israel, according to the worde of the Lord.
11:11And this is the nomber of the valiant men whome Dauid had, Iashobeam the sonne of Hachmoni, the chiefe among thirtie: he lift vp his speare against three hundreth, whom he slewe at one time.
11:12And after him was Eleazar the sonne of Dodo the Ahohite, which was one of the three valiant men.
11:13He was with Dauid at Pas-dammim, and there the Philistims were gathered together to battel: and there was a parcell of ground full of barley, and the people fled before the Philistims.
11:14And they stood in the middes of the field, and saued it, and slewe the Philistims: so the Lord gaue a great victorie.
11:15And three of the thirtie captaines went to a rocke to Dauid, into the caue of Adullam. And the armie of the Philistims camped in the valley of Rephaim.
11:16And when Dauid was in the hold, the Philistims garison was at Beth-lehem.
11:17And Dauid longed, and said, Oh, that one would giue me to drinke of the water of the well of Beth-lehem that is at the gate.
11:18Then these three brake thorowe the hoste of the Philistims, and drewe water out of the well of Beth-lehem that was by the gate, and tooke it and brought it to Dauid: but Dauid would not drinke of it, but powred it for an oblation to the Lord,
11:19And said, Let not my God suffer me to do this: should I drinke the blood of these mens liues? for they haue brought it with the ieopardie of their liues: therefore he would not drinke it: these things did these three mightie men.
11:20And Abishai the brother of Ioab, he was chiefe of the three, and he lift vp his speare against three hundreth, and slew them, and had the name among the three.
11:21Among the three he was more honourable then the two, and he was their captaine: but he attained not vnto the first three.
11:22Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada (the sonne of a valiant man) which had done many actes, and was of Kabzeel, he slewe two strong men of Moab: he went downe also and slewe a lion in the middes of a pit in time of snowe.
11:23And he slewe an Egyptian, a man of great stature, euen fiue cubites long, and in the Egyptians hand was a speare like a weauers beame: and he went downe to him with a staffe, and plucked the speare out of the Egyptians hand, and slewe him with his owne speare.
11:24These things did Benaiah ye sonne of Iehoiada, and had the name among the three worthies.
11:25Behold, he was honourable among thirtie, but he attained not vnto the first three. And Dauid made him of his counsell.
11:26These also were valiant men of warre, Asahel the brother of Ioab, Elhanan the sonne of Dodo of Beth-lehem,
11:27Shammoth the Harodite, Helez the Pelonite,
11:28Ira the sonne of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Antothite,
11:29Sibbecai the Husathite, Ilai the Ahohite,
11:30Maharai the Netophathite, Heled ye sonne of Baanah the Netophathite,
11:31Ithai the sonne of Ribai of Gibeah of the children of Beniamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,
11:32Hurai of the riuers of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite,
11:33Azmaueth the Baharumite, Elihaba the Shaalbonite,
11:34The sonnes of Hashem the Gizonite, Ionathan the sonne of Shageh the Harite,

11:45Iediael the sonne of Shimri, and Ioha his brother the Tizite,
11:46Eliel the Mahauite, and Ieribai and Ioshauiah the sonnes of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite,
11:47Eliel and Obed, and Iaasiel the Mesobaite.

11:3Therfore came all the elders of Israel to the kynge, to Hebron, and Dauid made a couenaunt with them in Hebron, before the Lorde. And they annoynted Dauid kynge ouer Israel, accordyng to the worde of the Lorde by the hande of Samuel.
11:4And Dauid and all Israel went to Ierusalem, which is Iebus: where as were the Iebusytes, the enhabiters of the lande.
11:5And the enhabiters of Iebus sayde to Dauid: thou commest not here. Neuerthelesse, Dauid wanne the castell of Syon, which is called the cytie of Dauid.
11:6And Dauid: sayde, whosoeuer smyteth the Iebusytes fyrst, shalbe the principall captayne and a Lorde. So, Ioab the sonne of Zaruia went fyrst vp, and was made the chefe captayne.
11:7And Dauid dwelt in the castell Syon, and therfore they called it the cytie of Dauid.
11:8And he buylt the cytie on euery syde, euen from Millo rounde about, and Ioab repared the rest of the cytie.
11:9And Dauid prospered, and waxed greate, and the Lorde of Hostes was with hym.
11:10These are the principall men of power whom Dauid had, and that claue to hym in hys kyngdome with all Israel, to make hym kynge, accordynge to the worde of the Lorde vnto Israel.
11:11And this is the nombre of the myghtye men whom Dauid had: Iosobeam the sonne of Hachmoni the chefe amonge thirtye: he lyfte vp hys spere agaynst, thre hundred, and wounded them at one tyme.
11:12After him was Eleazar his vncles sonne an Ahothite, which was one of the thre myghtyest.
11:13He was with Dauid at Pasdammin, & there the Philistines were gathered together to battell. And there was there a parsell of grounde full of barleye, and the people fled before the Philistines.
11:14And they, the thre afore sayde, stept forth into the middes of the felde, and saued it from burnynge and slue the Philistines. And the Lorde gaue a great victorye.
11:15And the thre of the thyrtye chefe captaynes went to a rocke to Dauid, into the caue Adullam. And the Hoste of the Philistines abode in the valey of Rephaim.
11:16And whan Dauid was in the holde, the Philistines watch was at Bethlehem that same time.
11:17And Dauid longed, & sayde: Oh that one wolde geue me dryncke of the water of the well that is at the gate at Bethlehem.
11:18And the thre brake thorowe the Host of the Philistines, and drewe water out of the well, that was by the gate at Bethlehem & toke it, and brought it to Dauid. Neuerthelesse, Dauid wolde not drynke of it, but rather offered it to the Lorde,
11:19and sayde: my God forbyd it me, that I shulde do thys thynge. Shall I dryncke the bloude of these men, that haue put theyr lyues in Ieopardye: (for with the Ieopardye of theyr lyues they brought it) therfore he wolde not drincke it. And this did these thre myghtyest.
11:20And Abisai the brother of Ioab: he also was captayne amonge thre: for he lyfte vp hys spere agaynst thre hundred, & wounded them, and had a name amonge the thre:
11:21Yee amonge thre, he was more honorable then the two, for he was their captayne. Howbeit, he attayned not vnto the thre.
11:22Banaia the sonne of Iehoiada (the sonne of a very stronge man) dyd greater actes then Cabzeel: for he slue two strong lyons of Moab, and went downe, and slue a Lyon in a pyt in time of snowe.
11:23And he slue an Egipcian, whose stature was euen fyue cubytes longe, & in the Egypcians hande was a speare lyke a weauers beame. And the other went downe to hym with a waster, and plucked the speare out of the Egypcians hande, and slue him wt his awne speare.
11:24Soche thynges dyd Banaia the sonne of Iehoiada, & had the name amonge the thre myghtyest,
11:25& was honorable among thirtie: but attayned not vnto the (first) thre. And Dauid made him of hys councell.
11:26The other men of armes were these: Asahel the brother of Ioab, Elhanan hys vncles sonne of Bethlehem.
11:27Sammoth the Harodite, Helez the Pelonite:
11:28Ira the sonne of Ickes the Thekoite, Abieser the Anatothite:
11:29Sibacai the Husathite, Ilai the Ahohite:
11:30Maharai the Nethophathite, Heled the sonne of Baana the Nethophatite.
11:31Ithai the sonne of Ribai of Gibea that pertayneth to the children of Beniamin: Benaia the Phirathonite:
11:32Hurai of the ryuers of Gaas, Abiel the Arbathite:

11:34The sonnes of Hassem the Gezonite, Ionathan the sonne of Sage, an Haraite.
