>


8:1	And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and his own house,
8:2	That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.
8:3	And Solomon went to Hamathzobah, and prevailed against it.
8:4	And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath.
8:5	Also he built Bethhoron the upper, and Bethhoron the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;
8:6	And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.
8:7	As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel,
8:8	But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.
8:9	But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.
8:10	And these were the chief of king Solomon's officers, even two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people.
8:11	And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the LORD hath come.
8:12	Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,
8:13	Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.
8:14	And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.
8:15	And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.
8:16	Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was perfected.
8:17	Then went Solomon to Eziongeber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.
8:18	And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.


8:1	ויהי מקץ עשׂרים שׁנה אשׁר בנה שׁלמה את בית יהוה ואת ביתו׃
8:2	והערים אשׁר נתן חורם לשׁלמה בנה שׁלמה אתם ויושׁב שׁם את בני ישׂראל׃
8:3	וילך שׁלמה חמת צובה ויחזק עליה׃
8:4	ויבן את תדמר במדבר ואת כל ערי המסכנות אשׁר בנה בחמת׃
8:5	ויבן את בית חורון העליון ואת בית חורון התחתון ערי מצור חומות דלתים ובריח׃
8:6	ואת בעלת ואת כל ערי המסכנות אשׁר היו לשׁלמה ואת כל ערי הרכב ואת ערי הפרשׁים ואת כל חשׁק שׁלמה אשׁר חשׁק לבנות בירושׁלם ובלבנון ובכל ארץ ממשׁלתו׃
8:7	כל העם הנותר מן החתי והאמרי והפרזי והחוי והיבוסי אשׁר לא מישׂראל המה׃
8:8	מן בניהם אשׁר נותרו אחריהם בארץ אשׁר לא כלום בני ישׂראל ויעלם שׁלמה למס עד היום הזה׃
8:9	ומן בני ישׂראל אשׁר לא נתן שׁלמה לעבדים למלאכתו כי המה אנשׁי מלחמה ושׂרי שׁלישׁיו ושׂרי רכבו ופרשׁיו׃
8:10	ואלה שׂרי הנציבים אשׁר למלך שׁלמה חמשׁים ומאתים הרדים בעם׃
8:11	ואת בת פרעה העלה שׁלמה מעיר דויד לבית אשׁר בנה לה כי אמר לא תשׁב אשׁה לי בבית דויד מלך ישׂראל כי קדשׁ המה אשׁר באה אליהם ארון יהוה׃
8:12	אז העלה שׁלמה עלות ליהוה על מזבח יהוה אשׁר בנה לפני האולם׃
8:13	ובדבר יום ביום להעלות כמצות משׁה לשׁבתות ולחדשׁים ולמועדות שׁלושׁ פעמים בשׁנה בחג המצות ובחג השׁבעות ובחג הסכות׃
8:14	ויעמד כמשׁפט דויד אביו את מחלקות הכהנים על עבדתם והלוים על משׁמרותם להלל ולשׁרת נגד הכהנים לדבר יום ביומו והשׁוערים במחלקותם לשׁער ושׁער כי כן מצות דויד אישׁ האלהים׃
8:15	ולא סרו מצות המלך על הכהנים והלוים לכל דבר ולאצרות׃
8:16	ותכן כל מלאכת שׁלמה עד היום מוסד בית יהוה ועד כלתו שׁלם בית יהוה׃
8:17	אז הלך שׁלמה לעציון גבר ואל אילות על שׂפת הים בארץ אדום׃
8:18	וישׁלח לו חורם ביד עבדיו אוניות ועבדים יודעי ים ויבאו עם עבדי שׁלמה אופירה ויקחו משׁם ארבע מאות וחמשׁים ככר זהב ויביאו אל המלך שׁלמה׃


8:1	And it cometh to pass, at the end of twenty years, that Solomon hath built the house of Jehovah, and his own house.
8:2	As to the cities that Huram hath given to Solomon, Solomon hath built them, and there he causeth the sons of Israel to dwell.
8:3	And Solomon goeth to Hamath-Zobah, and layeth hold upon it;
8:4	and he buildeth Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the cities of store that he hath built in Hamath.
8:5	And he buildeth Beth-Horon the upper, and Beth-Horon the lower -- cities of defence, with walls, two-leaved doors, and bar --
8:6	and Baalath, and all the cities of store that Solomon had, and all the cities of the chariot, and the cities of the horsemen, and all the desire of Solomon that he desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
8:7	All the people who are left of the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, who are not of Israel --
8:8	of their sons who have been left after them in the land, whom the sons of Israel consumed not -- doth Solomon lift up a tribute unto this day.
8:9	And none of the sons of Israel hath Solomon made servants for his work, but they `are' men of war, and heads of his captains, and heads of his charioteers, and of his horsemen;
8:10	and these `are' heads of the officers whom king Solomon hath, two hundred and fifty who are rulers among the people.
8:11	And the daughter of Pharaoh hath Solomon brought up from the city of David to the house that he built for her, for he said, `My wife doth not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, for they are holy unto whom hath come the ark of Jehovah.'
8:12	Then hath Solomon caused to ascend burnt-offerings to Jehovah on the altar of Jehovah that he built before the porch,
8:13	even by the matter of a day in its day, to cause to ascend according to the command of Moses, on sabbaths, and on new moons, and on appointed seasons, three times in a year -- in the feast of unleavened things, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of booths.
8:14	And he establisheth, according to the ordinance of David his father, the courses of the priests over their service, and of the Levites over their charges, to praise and to minister over-against the priests, according to the matter of a day in its day, and the gatekeepers in their courses at gate and gate, for so `is' the command of David the man of God.
8:15	And they have not turned aside `from' the command of the king concerning the priests and the Levites, in reference to any matter, and to the treasures.
8:16	And all the work of Solomon is prepared till the day of the foundation of the house of Jehovah, and till its completion; perfect is the house of Jehovah.
8:17	Then hath Solomon gone to Ezion-Geber, and unto Elath, on the border of the sea, in the land of Edom;
8:18	and Huram sendeth to him, by the hand of his servants, ships and servants knowing the sea, and they go with servants of Solomon to Ophir, and take thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and bring in unto king Solomon.
