| 30:1 | And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Iudah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the Lord at Ierusalem, to keepe the Passeouer vnto the Lord God of Israel. |
| 30:2 | For the king had taken counsell, and his Princes, and all the congregation in Ierusalem, to keepe the Passeouer in the second moneth. |
| 30:3 | For they could not keepe it at that time, because the Priests had not sanctified themselues sufficiently, neither had the people gathered themselues together to Ierusalem. |
| 30:4 | And the thing pleased the king, and all the Congregation. |
| 30:5 | So they established a decree, to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba euen to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passeouer vnto the Lord God of Israel at Ierusalem: for they had not done it of a long time in such sort, as it was written. |
| 30:6 | So the Postes went with the letters from the King and his Princes, throughout all Israel and Iudah, and according to the commandement of the king, saying; Yee children of Israel, turne againe vnto the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, and hee wil returne to the remnant of you, that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria. |
| 30:7 | And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against the Lord God of their fathers, who therefore gaue them vp to desolation, as ye see. |
| 30:8 | Now be yee not stiffe-necked as your fathers were, but yeeld your selues vnto the Lord, and enter into his Sanctuarie, which he hath sanctified for euer: and serue the Lord your God, that the fiercenesse of his wrath may turne away from you. |
| 30:9 | For if yee turne againe vnto the Lord, your brethren and your children shall finde compassion before them that leade them captiue, so that they shall come againe into this land: for the Lord your God is gracious and mercifull, and will not turne away his face from you, if ye returne vnto him. |
| 30:10 | So the Posts passed from citie to citie, through the countrey of Ephraim and Manasseh, euen vnto Zebulun: but they laughed them to scorne, and mocked them. |
| 30:11 | Neuerthelesse, diuers of Asher, and Manasseh, and of Zebulun, humbled themselues, and came to Ierusalem. |
| 30:12 | Also in Iudah, the hand of God was to giue them one heart to doe the commandement of the king and of the Princes, by the word of the Lord. |
| 30:13 | And there assembled at Ierusalem much people, to keepe the feast of vnleauened bread in the second moneth, a very great congregation. |
| 30:14 | And they arose and tooke away the altars that were in Ierusalem, and all the altars for incense tooke they away, and cast them into the brooke Kidron. |
| 30:15 | Then they killed the Passeouer on the fourteenth day of the second moneth: and the Priests and the Leuites were ashamed, and sanctified themselues, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of the Lord. |
| 30:16 | And they stood in their place after their maner, according to the Law of Moses the man of God: The priests sprinckled the blood, which they receiued of the hand of the Leuites. |
| 30:17 | For there were many in the Congregation that were not sanctified: therefore the Leuites had the charge of the killing of the Passeouers for euery one that was not cleane, to sanctifie them vnto the Lord. |
| 30:18 | For a multitude of the people, euen many of Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselues: yet did they eate the Passeouer otherwise then it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying; The good Lord pardon euery one, |
| 30:19 | That prepareth his heart to seeke God, the Lord God of his fathers, though hee be not cleansed according to the purification of the Sanctuary. |
| 30:20 | And the Lord hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people. |
| 30:21 | And the children of Israel that were present at Ierusalem, kept the feast of vnleauened bread seuen dayes with great gladnesse: and the Leuites and the Priests praised the Lord day by day, singing with lowd instruments vnto the Lord. |
| 30:22 | And Hezekiah spake comfortably vnto all the Leuites, that taught the good knowledge of the Lord: and they did eate throughout the feast, seuen dayes, offering peace-offerings, and making confession to the Lord God of their fathers. |
| 30:23 | And the whole assembly tooke counsel to keepe other seuen dayes: and they kept other seuen dayes with gladnesse. |
| 30:24 | For Hezekiah king of Iudah did giue to the Congregation, a thousand bullockes, and seuen thousand sheep: and the Princes gaue to the Congregation a thousand bullocks, and ten thousand sheepe, and a great number of Priests sanctified themselues. |
| 30:25 | And all the Congregation of Iudah, with the Priests and the Leuites, and all the Congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came out of the land of Israel, and that dwelt in Iudah, reioyced. |
| 30:26 | So there was great ioy in Ierusalem: for since the time of Solomon the sonne of Dauid King of Israel, there was not the like in Ierusalem. |
| 30:27 | Then the Priests the Leuites arose, and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came vp to his holy dwelling place, euen vnto heauen. |

| 30:4 | And the thynge pleased the kynge and al the congregacion. |
| 30:5 | And they decreed that it shulde be proclaymed thorowe out all Israel from Bersabe to Dan, that they shulde come, & holde the feast of Passeouer vnto the Lord God of Israel at Ierusalem: for they had not done it of a greate season as they shuld haue done by the lawe. |
| 30:6 | So the postes wente with letters of the hande of the kyng, & of his Lordes thorowe out all Israell and Iuda: & at the commaundement of the kynge they sayd: Ye children of Israel, turne agayne vnto the Lord God of Abraham, Isahac & Israel, and let euery one returne to the remnaunt that are escaped you out of the hande of the kynges of Assur. |
| 30:7 | And be not ye lyke your fathers, & your brethren which trespaced agaynst the Lorde God of theyr fathers, which gaue them vp to be destroyed, as ye se. |
| 30:8 | And nowe be not ye stiffenecked, lyke as were your fathers, but yelde your selues vnto the Lorde, & entre into his holy place, which he hath sanctified for euer and serue the Lorde your God, & the fearcenesse of his wrath shal turne awaye from you. |
| 30:9 | For yf ye turne agayne vnto the Lord, then shall your brethren and your children fynde compassion in the presence of them that toke them captyue, and they shall come agayne vnto this land: for the Lord your God is gracious & mercyfull and wil not turne awaye his face from you, yf ye conuerte vnto hym. |
| 30:10 | And so the postes went from cytie to cytie in the lande of Ephraim & Manasse, euen vnto Zabulon. But they laughed them to skorne & mocked them. |
| 30:11 | Neuerthelesse, yet dyuerse of Asser, Manasse and of Zabulon submytted them selues, and came to Ierusalem. |
| 30:12 | And the hande of God was in Iuda, so that he gaue them one hert, to do the commaundement of the kyng and of the rulers, accordyng to the worde of the Lorde. |
| 30:13 | And there assembled to Ierusalem moch people, and there was present a myghtye great congregacion, to holde the feast of swete bread in the second moneth. |
| 30:14 | And they arose, & remoued the aulters that were in Ierusalem. And all the vessels of incense dyd they awaye, and cast them into the broke Cedron. |
| 30:15 | And they slue Passeouer the fourtenth daye of the second moneth. And the preastes and Leuites. which were ashamed, sanctifyed them selues, and brought in the burnt offerynges into the house of the Lorde. |
| 30:16 | And they stode in theyr offyce after theyr maner, and accordynge to the lawe of Moses the man of God. And the preastes sprinkled the bloude, which they receaued of the hande of the Leuites. |
| 30:17 | For there were many in the congregacion, that were not sanctifyed: & the Leuites dyd sley Passeouer for al that were not cleane, & that myght not execute the holy worke of the Lorde. |
| 30:18 | For many of the people, and very many: out of Ephraim, Manasse, Isakar and Zabulon were not cleansed, & yet dyd eate Passeouer agaynst the lawe apoynted. Wherfore Hezekia prayed for them, and sayd: the good Lorde |
| 30:19 | be mercyful vnto them: For he set hys whole hert, to seke the Lorde God euen the God of his fathers: but all the other dyd not so accordyng to vnfayned holynesse. |
| 30:20 | And the Lorde hearde Hezekia, and healed the people. |
| 30:21 | And the chyldren of Israel that were present at Ierusalem, helde the feast of swete bread seuen dayes with great gladnesse, and the Leuites and the preastes praysed, and magnifyed the power of the Lorde daye by daye, vpon instrumentes. |
| 30:22 | And Hezekia spake hertely vnto all the Leuites that had vnderstandyng and were of a good mynde toward the Lorde. And they dyd eate thorowe out that feast, seuen dayes longe, & offered peaceofferynges, & thanked the Lorde God of theyr fathers. |
| 30:23 | And the hole assemble toke councell, to do so other seuen dayes, and they helde those seuen dayes with gladnesse. |
| 30:24 | For Hezekia kinge of Iuda toke out (from amonge his catel) for the congregacion, a thousande yonge oxen, and seuen thousande shepe. And the Lordes gaue out to the congregacion a thousande yonge oxen, and ten thousande shepe. And a greate nombre of the preasts were sanctifyed. |
| 30:25 | And all the congregacyon of Iuda wyth the preastes & Leuites, & al the congregacion that came out of Israel, and the straungers that came out of the lande of Israel, and that dwelt in Iuda, reioysed: |
| 30:26 | & there was great gladnesse in Ierusalem. For sence the tyme of Salomon the sonne of Dauid kynge of Israel there was no soche ioye in Ierusalem. |
| 30:27 | And the preastes and the Leuites arose, and blessed the people, and theyr voyce was hearde of the Lord, and theyr prayer came vp vnto heauen, his holy dwellynge place. |
