| 36:1 | And the people of the land toke Iehoahaz the sonne of Iosia, and made him kynge in his fathers steade in Ierusalem. |
| 36:2 | And Iehoahaz was thre and twentye yeare olde, when he beganne to raygne, and he raygned thre monethes in Ierusalem. |
| 36:3 | And the kyng of Egypt put him downe at Ierusalem, ann merced the lande in an hundred talentes of syluer, and a talent of gold. |
| 36:4 | And the kynge of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king vpon Iuda and Ierusalem, & turned hys name vnto Iehoakim: and Necho toke Iehoahaz hys brother, and caried hym to Egipt. |
| 36:5 | Iehoakim was fyue and twenty yeare olde, when he began to raygne, and he raygned eleuen yeare in Ierusalem: and he dyd euyll in the sight of the Lorde his God. |
| 36:6 | Agaynst him then came vp Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon, and bounde hym with two chaynes, to carye him to Babilon. |
| 36:7 | The king Nabuchodonosor also caried of the vessels of the house of the Lorde to Babilon, & and put them in his temple at Babilon. |
| 36:8 | The rest of the actes of Iehoakim, and his abhominacions which he did, and carued ymages that were layde to hys charge, beholde, they are writen in the booke of the kynges of Israell: and Iehoacin his sonne raygned in hys steade. |
| 36:9 | Iehoacin was eyght yeare olde whan he beganne to raygne, and he raygned thre monethes and ten dayes in Ierusalem: and dyd euelll in the sight of the Lorde: |
| 36:10 | And when the yeare was out, kynge Nabuchodonosor sent, and let him to Babilon with the goodly vessels of the house of the Lord, and made Zedekia (his fathers brother) kynge ouer Iuda and Ierusalem. |
| 36:11 | Zedekia was one and twenty yere olde, when he beganne to raygne, & raygned eleuen yere in Ierusalem. |
| 36:12 | And he dyd euell in the syght of the Lorde hys God, and humbled not him selfe before Ieremia the prophete at the mouth of the Lorde. |
| 36:13 | And he rebelled agaynst Nabuchodonosor, which had receaued an oth of hym by God. But he was stifnecked, and to harde herted to turne vnto the Lorde God of Israell. |
| 36:14 | Moreouer, all the rulers, the prestes, & the people trespaced more synnyng after all maner of abhominacyons of the heathen, and poluted the house of the Lord, which he had halowed in Ierusalem. |
| 36:15 | And the Lord God of their fathers sent to them, by hys messengers, risyng vp by tymes and sendynge: for he had compassyon on hys people, and on his dwellyng place. |
| 36:16 | But they mocked the messengers of God, & despised his wordes, and mysse vsed hys prophetes, vntyll the wrath of the Lord arose agaynst his people, and tyll there was no remedy. |
| 36:17 | And so he brought vpon them the kyng of Caldeye, which slue their yong men with the swearde in their holy temple, and spared nether yonge man, mayden, olde man, ner hym that stowped for age. He gaue them all into his hande. |
| 36:18 | And all the vessels of the house of God, (both great and small) and the treasures of the house of the Lorde, and the treasures of the kynge, and of hys Lordes: all these caried he to Babilon. |
| 36:19 | And they burnt the house of God and brake downe the wall of Ierusalem and burnt all the places therof with fyre, and destroyed all the goodly Iewles therof. |
| 36:20 | And the rest that had escaped the sweard, caryed he to Babylon, where they were bound to him and his chyldren, vntyll the tyme that Persia had the empire. |
| 36:21 | To fulfyll the word of the Lord by the mouth of Ieremia, vntyll the lande had her pleasure of her Sabbothes: for as longe as she laye desolate, she kept Saboth, vntyll seuenty yeares were fulfylled. |
| 36:22 | And the first yeare of Cyrus kynge of Persia (whan the worde of the Lorde spoken by the mouth of Ieremia, was fynisshed) the Lord stered vp the sprete of Cyrus kyng of Persia, that he made a proclamacion thorow out all his kyngdome, and that by writynge, sayeng: |
| 36:23 | Thus sayeth Cyrus kyng of Persia: all the kyngdomes of the earth hath the Lord God of heauen geuen me, and hath charged me to buylde him an house in Ierusalem, that is in Iuda. Wherfore, whosoeuer is amonge you of all hys people, the Lorde his God be with hym, and lett hym go vp. |
| 36:1 | Therfor the puple of the lond took Joachaz, the sone of Josie, and ordeynede hym kyng for his fadir in Jerusalem. |
| 36:2 | Joachaz was of thre and twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnede thre monethis in Jerusalem. |
| 36:3 | Sotheli the kyng of Egipt, `whan he hadde come to Jerusalem, remouyde hym, and condempnede the lond in an hundrid talentis of siluer and in a talent of gold. |
| 36:4 | And he ordeynede for hym Eliachim, his brother, kyng on Juda and Jerusalem; and turnede his name Joakym. Sotheli he took thilk Joachaz with hym silf, and brouyte in to Egipt. |
| 36:5 | Joakym was of fyue and twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnyde eleuene yeer in Jerusalem, and he dide yuel bifor `his Lord God. |
| 36:6 | Nabugodonosor, kyng of Caldeis, styede ayens this Joakym, and ledde hym boundun with chaynes in to Babiloyne. |
| 36:7 | To which Babiloyne he translatide also the vessels of the Lord, and settide tho in his temple. |
| 36:8 | Sotheli the residue of wordis of Joakym, and of hise abhomynaciouns whiche he wrouyte, and that weren foundun in hym, ben conteyned in the book of kyngis of Israel and of Juda. Therfor Joachym, his sone, regnede for hym. |
| 36:9 | Joachym was of eiyte yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnede thre monethis and ten daies in Jerusalem, and he dide yuel in the siyt of the Lord. |
| 36:10 | And whanne the cercle of the yeer was turned aboute, Nabugodonosor the kynge sente men, whiche also brouyten hym in to Babiloyne, whanne the moost preciouse vessels of the hows of the Lord weren borun out togidir. Sotheli he ordeynede Sedechie, his fadris brother, kyng on Juda and Jerusalem. |
| 36:11 | Sedechie was of oon and twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnede eleuene yeer in Jerusalem. |
| 36:12 | And he dide yuel in the siyt of `his Lord God, and he was not aschamed of the face of Jeremye, the prophete, spekynge to hym bi the mouth of the Lord. |
| 36:13 | Also he yede awey fro the kyng Nabugodonosor, that hadde made hym to swere bi God; and he made hard his nol and herte, that he nolde turne ayen to the Lord of Israel. |
| 36:14 | But also alle the princes of preestis and the puple trespassiden wickidli, bi alle abhomynaciouns of hethene men; and thei defouliden the hows of the Lord, which he halewide to hym silf in Jerusalem. |
| 36:15 | Forsothe the Lord God of her fadris sente to hem bi the hond of hise messangeris, and roos bi nyyt, and amonestide ech day; for he sparide his puple and dwellyng place. |
| 36:16 | And thei scorneden the messangeris of God, and dispisiden hise wordis, and scorneden hise prophetis; til the greet veniaunce of the Lord stiede on his puple, and noon heelyng were. |
| 36:17 | And he brouyte on hem the kyng of Caldeis; and killide the yonge men of hem `bi swerd in the hows of seyntuarie; `he hadde not merci of a yong `man, and of a vergyn, and of an eld man, and sotheli nether of a man niy the deth for eldnesse, but he bitook alle in the hond of that king of Caldeis. |
| 36:18 | And he translatide in to Babiloyne alle the vessels of the hows of the Lord, bothe the grettere and the lasse vessels, and the tresours of the temple, and of the kyng, and of the princes. |
| 36:19 | Enemyes brenten the hows of the Lord; thei distrieden the wal of Jerusalem; thei brenten alle the touris; and thei distrieden what euer thing was preciouse. |
| 36:20 | If ony man ascapide the swerd, he was led in to Babiloyne, and seruyde the kyng and hise sones; til the kyng of Peersis regnyde, |
| 36:21 | and the word of the Lord bi the mouth of Jeremye was fillid, and til the lond halewide hise sabatis. For in alle the daies of desolacioun it made sabat, til that seuenti yeer weren fillid. |
| 36:22 | Forsothe in the firste yeer of Cyrus, kyng of Persis, to fille the word of the Lord, which he hadde spoke bi the mouth of Jeremye, the Lord reiside the spirit of Cirus, king of Persis, that comaundide to be prechid in al his rewme, yhe, bi scripture, and seide, Cirus, |
| 36:23 | the king of Persis, seith these thingis, The Lord God of heuene yaf to me alle the rewmes of erthe, and he comaundide to me, that Y schulde bilde to hym an hows in Jerusalem, which is in Judee. Who of you is in al his puple? `his Lord God be with hym, and stie he `in to Jerusalem. |

| 36:5 | Fyue and twentye yeare olde was Ioachim wha he was made kynge, and reigned eleue yeare at Ierusale, and dyd that which was euell in the siighte of the LORDE his God. |
| 36:6 | And Nabuchodonosor the kynge of Babilon wente vp agaynst him, and bounde him with cheynes, to cary him vnto Babilon. |
| 36:7 | And Nabuchodonosor broughte certayne vessels of ye house of the LORDE vnto Babilon, and put them in his temple at Babilon. |
| 36:8 | What more there is to saye of Ioachim, and off his abhominacions which he dyd, and that were founde in him, beholde, they are wrytten in the boke of the kynges of Israel and Iuda. And Ioachim his sonne was kynge in his steade. |
| 36:9 | Eight yeare olde was Ioachim whan he was made kynge, and reigned thre monethes and ten dayes at Ierusale, and dyd yt which was euell in the sighte of ye LORDE. |
| 36:10 | But wha the yeare came aboute, Nabuchodonosor sent thither, and caused him be fetched vnto Babilon with the costly vessels and Iewels of the house of the LORDE, and made Sedechias his brother kynge ouer Iuda and Ierusalem. |
| 36:11 | One and twentye yeare olde was Sedechias whan he was made kynge, & reigned eleuen yeare at Ierusalem, |
| 36:12 | and dyd that which was euell in the sighte of the LORDE his God, and submytted not himselfe before the face of the prophet Ieremy, which spake out of the mouth of the LORDE. |
| 36:13 | He fell awaye also from Nabuchodonosor the kynge of Babilon (which had taken an ooth of him by God) and was styfnecked, and hardened his hert, that he shulde not conuerte vnto the LORDE God of Israel. |
| 36:14 | And all ye chefe amonge the prestes, and the people, multiplyed their synnes, acordinge to all the abhominacions of the Heythen, and dyfyled the house of the LORDE, which he had sanctified at Ierusalem. |
| 36:15 | And the LORDE God of their fathers sent vnto them early by his messaungers (for he spared his people and his habitacion) |
| 36:16 | but they laughed the messaungers of God to scorne, and despysed his wordes, and had his prophetes in derision, so loge tyll the indignacion of the LORDE increased ouer his people, and there was no remedye of healinge. |
| 36:17 | For he broughte the kynge of the Caldees vpon them, and caused for to slaye all their yonge men with the swerde in the house of their Sanctuary, and spared nether yonge ma ner virgin, nether aged ner graudfather, but gaue them all in to his hande. |
| 36:18 | And all the vessels in the house of God, greate and small, the treasures in the house of ye LORDE, and the treasures of the kynge and of his prynces, all this caused he to be caried vnto Babilon. |
| 36:19 | And they brent the house of God, and brake downe the wall of Ierusale, and all the palaces therof brent they with fyre, so that all the costly ornamentes of it were destroyed. |
| 36:20 | And loke who escaped ye swerde, hi caried he awaye vnto Babilon, & they became his seruautes, & the seruauntes of his sonnes, tyll the Persians had the empyre: |
| 36:21 | that ye worde of the LORDE by the mouth of Ieremy mighte be perfourmed, euen vntyll the londe had ynough of hir Sabbathes: for all the tyme of the desolacion was it Sabbath, vntyll the seuentye yeares were fulfylled. |
| 36:22 | But in the first yeare of Cyrus the kynge of Persia (that the worde of the LORDE spoken by the mouth of Ieremy mighte be fulfylled) the LODDE raysed vp the sprete of Cyrus the kynge of Persia, that he caused it be proclamed thorow out all his empyre, yee and by wrytinge also, sayenge: |
| 36:23 | Thus sayeth Cyrus the kynge of Persia: The LORDE God of heauen hath geuen me all the kyngdomes in the londe, and hath commaunded me to buylde him an house at Ierusalem in Iuda. Who soeuer now amonge you is of his people, the LORDE his God be with him, and let him go vp. |
