2:1These are the chyldren of the lande that went vp oute of the captyuite (whom Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon had caryed awaye vnto Babylon) and came agayne vnto Ierusalem, and into Iuda, euery one vnto hys cytie.
2:2They that came with Zorobabell are these. Iesua, Nehemiah, Saraia, Raelaia Mardochai, Bilsan, Mispar, Biguai, Rehum, Baana. Thys is the nombre of the men of the people of Israel.
2:3The children of Phares, two thousand, an hundred, and two and seuentye:
2:4the chyldren of Saphatia, thre hundred, and two and seuenty:
2:5the chyldren of Arath, seuen hundred, and fyue and seuenty:
2:6the chyldren of the captayne of Moab among the chyldren of Iesua and Ioab, two thousande, eyght hundred and twelue:
2:7the chyldren of Elam, a thousande, two hundred, and foure and fyftye:
2:8the chyldren of Zathu, nyne hundred, and fyue and fourtye:
2:9the chyldren Zaccai, seuen hundred, and thre score:
2:10the children of Bani, syxe hundred, and two and fourty:

2:39the children of Harim, a thousande, and seuentene.
2:40The leuites. The children of Iesua, and Cadmiel of the children of Hodauia, foure & seuentye.
2:41The syngers, the children of Asaph, an hundred, and eyght & twentye.
2:42The children of the dore keper. The children of Sallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akub, the children of Hatita, the children of Sobai: all togeather an hundred, and nyne and thyrtye.
2:43The Nethinims, the children of Ziha, the children of Hasupha, the children of Tabaoth,

2:50the chyldren of Asna, the chyldren of Mehunim, the chyldren of Nephussim,
2:51the chyldren of Bacbuc, the chyldren of Hacuba, the chyldren of Harhur,
2:52the chyldren of Bazluth, the children of Mehira, the chyldren of Harsa,
2:53the chyldren of Barcom, the chyldren of Sisara, the chyldren of Thamah,
2:54the chyldren of Neziah, the chyldren of Hatipha.
2:55The chyldren of Salomons seruauntes, the chyldren of Sotai, the chyldren of Sophereth, the chyldren of Peruda,
2:56the chyldren of Iaala, the children of Darcon, the chyldren of Giddel,
2:57the chyldren of Sephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth Hazbaim, the chyldren of Ami.
2:58All the Nethinims and the chyldren of Salomons seruauntes, were all together, thre hundred and two and nyntye.
2:59And these went vp from, Thelmelah, and from Thelharsa, Cherub, Addon and Immer. But they coulde not discerne theyr fathers house and theyr sede, whether they were of Israel.
2:60The children of Delaia, the chyldren of Tobia, the chyldren of Necoda, syxe hundred and two and fyfty.
2:61And of the chyldren of the prestes. The chyldren of Hebaia, the chyldren of Hakoz, the chyldren of Berzilai, which toke one of the daughters of Berzilai the Gileadite to wyfe, and was called after theyr name:
2:62these sought theyr euidence amonge them that had the register of byrth, and were not founde therin, therfore were they put from the presthod.
2:63And Hathirsatha sayd vnto them, that they shuld not eate of the most holy, till ther rose vp a preste to weare Urim and Thumim.
2:64The whole congregacion together, was .xlij. thousand, thre hundred and threscore:
2:65besyde their seruauntes and maydens, of whom there were seuen thousand, thre hundred, and seuen and thyrtye. And there were amonge them two hundred syngynge men and wemen.
2:66Their horses were seuen hundred and syxe & thirty. Their mules, two hundred, and fyue and fourtye:
2:67and their camels, foure hundred and fyue and thirty. Theyr asses, syxe thousande, seuen hundred and twentye.
2:68And certayne of the chefe fathers, when they came because of the house of the Lorde at Ierusalem, they offered them selues wyllynge for the house of God, to sett in hys place,
2:69and gaue gold after their habilite vnto the treasure of the worcke, euen one and threscore thousande peces, and fyue thousande pounde of syluer, and an hundred prestes garmentes.
2:70So the prestes and the leuites, and a certayne of the people and the syngers, and the porters, and the Nethinims dwelt in their cyties, and all Israell in theyr cyties.

 

2:1Forsothe these ben the sones of prouynce, that stieden fro the caitifte, which Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, hadde translatid in to Babiloyne; and thei turneden ayen in to Jerusalem and in to Juda, ech man in to his citee, that camen with Zorobabel;
2:2Jesua, Neemie, Saray, Rahelaie, Mardochaa, Belsan, Mesfar, Begnay, Reum, Baana. This is the noumbre of men of the sones of Israel; the sones of Phares,
2:3two thousynde an hundrid and two and seuenti; the sones of Arethi, seuene hundrid and fyue and seuenti;
2:4the sones of Sephezie, thre hundrid and two and seuenti;
2:5the sones of Area, seuene hundrid and fyue and seuenti;
2:6the sones of Phe and of Moab, sones of Josue and of Joab, twei thousynde nyne hundrid and twelue;
2:7the sones of Helam, a thousynde two hundrid and foure and fifti;
2:8the sones of Zechua, nyne hundrid and fyue and fourti;

2:43Nathynneis, the sones of Osai, sones of Asupha, sones of Thebaoth, sones of Ceros,
2:44sones of Sisaa, sones of Phadon,
2:45sones of Jebana, sones of Agaba, sones of Accub,
2:46sones of Accab, sones of Selmai,
2:47sones of Annam, sones of Gaddel, sones of Gaer,
2:48sones of Rahaia, sones of Rasyn, sones of Nethoda, sones of Gazem, sones of Asa,
2:49sones of Phasea, sones of Besee,
2:50sones of Asennaa, sones of Numyn, sones of Nethusym,
2:51sones of Bethuth, sones of Acupha, sones of Aryn, sones of Besluth,
2:52sones of Maida, sones of Arsa,
2:53sones of Bercos, sones of Sisara, sones of Thema,
2:54sones of Nasia, sones of Acupha,
2:55the sones of the seruauntis of Salomon, the sones of Sothelthei, the sones of Soforeth, the sones of Pharuda, the sones of Asa,
2:56the sones of Delcon, the sones of Gedeb,
2:57the sones of Saphata, the sones of Atil, the sones of Phecerethi, that weren of Asebam, the sones of Ammy;
2:58alle the Nathyneis, and the sones of the seruauntis of Salomon weren thre hundrid nynti and tweyne.
2:59And thei that stieden fro Thelmela, Thelersa, Cherub, and Don, and Mey, and myyten not schewe the hows of her fadris and her seed, whether thei weren of Israel;
2:60the sones of Delaya, the sones of Thobie, the sones of Nethoda, sixe hundrid and two and fifti;
2:61and of the sones of prestis, the sones of Obia, sones of Accos, sones of Berzellai, which took a wijf of the douytris of Bersellai Galadite, and was clepid bi the name of hem;
2:62these souyten the scripture of her genologie, and founden not, and thei weren cast out of preesthod.
2:63And Attersatha seide to hem, that thei schulden not ete of the hooli of hooli thingis, til a wijs preest and perfit roos.
2:64Al the multitude as o man, two and fourti thousynde thre hundrid and sixti,
2:65outakun the seruauntis of hem and `the handmaydis, that weren seuene thousynde thre hundrid and seuene and thretti; and among hem weren syngeris and syngeressis twei hundrid.
2:66The horsis of hem weren sixe hundrid and sixe and thritti; the mulis of hem weren foure hundrid and fyue and fourti;
2:67the camels of hem weren foure hundrid and fyue and thritti; the assis of hem weren sixe thousynde seuene hundrid and twenti.
2:68And of the princes of fadris, whanne thei entriden in to the temple of the Lord, which is in Jerusalem, thei offriden of fre wille in to the hows of God, to bilde it in his place;
2:69thei yauen `bi her myytes the costis of the werk, oon and fourti thousynde platis of gold; fyue thousynde besauntis of siluer; and preestis clothis an hundrid.
2:70Therfor preestis and dekenes of the puple, and syngeris, and porteris, and Nathynneis dwelliden in her citees, and al Israel in her cytees.

2:59And these wete vp also, Mithel, Melath, Thel, Harso, Cherub, Addon and Immer. But they coulde not shewe their fathers house ner their sede, whether they were of Israel.
2:60The children of Delaia, the children of Tobias, the children of Necoda, sixe hundreih and two and fiftye.
2:61And of the children of the prestes. The children of Habaia, the children of Hacom, the children of Barsillai, which toke one of the daughters of Barsillai the Gileadite to wife, and was counted amonge the same names:
2:62these soughte the register of their byrth, and founde none, therfore were they put from the presthode.
2:63And Hathirsatha sayde vnto them, that they shulde not eate of the most holy, tyll there rose vp a prest with the lighte and perfectnesse.
2:64The whole congregacion as one man, was two and fortye thousande, thre hundreth and thre score:
2:65besyde their seruauntes and maydes, of whom there were seue thousande, thre hundreth and seuen and thirtye. And they had two hundreth singinge men and wemen,
2:66seue hundreth and sixe and thirtye horses, two hundreth and fyue and fortye Mules,
2:67foure hudreth and fyue and thirtye Camels, and sixe thousande, seuen hundreth and twentye Asses.
2:68And certayne of the chefe fathers, whan they came to the house of the LORDE at Ierusalem, they were well mynded vnto the house of God, that it shulde be set in his place,
2:69and gaue after their abilyte vnto the treasure of the worke, one and threscore thousande guldens, and fyue thousande pounde of syluer, and an hundreth prestes garmentes.
2:70So the prestes and the Leuites, and certayne of ye people, and the syngers, and the porters, and ye Nethinims dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
