| 21:1 | But Iob answered, and sayd, |
| 21:2 | Heare diligently my speech, and let this be your consolations. |
| 21:3 | Suffer me that I may speake, and after that I haue spoken, mocke on. |
| 21:4 | As for mee, is my complaint to man? and if it were so, why should not my spirit be troubled? |
| 21:5 | Marke mee, and be astonished, and lay your hand vpon your mouth. |
| 21:6 | Euen when I remember, I am afraid, and trembling taketh holde on my flesh. |
| 21:7 | Wherefore doe the wicked liue, become old, yea, are mightie in power? |
| 21:8 | Their seede is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes. |
| 21:9 | Their houses are safe from feare, neither is the rod of God vpon them. |
| 21:10 | Their bull gendreth and faileth not, their cow calueth, and casteth not her calfe. |
| 21:11 | They send foorth their little ones like a flocke, and their children dance. |
| 21:12 | They take the timbrell and harpe, and reioyce at the sound of the organe. |
| 21:13 | They spend their daies in wealth, and in a moment goe downe to the graue. |
| 21:14 | Therefore they say vnto God, Depart from vs: for we desire not the knowledge of thy wayes. |
| 21:15 | What is the Almightie, that wee should serue him? and what profite should we haue, if we pray vnto him? |
| 21:16 | Loe, their good is not in their hand, the counsell of the wicked is farre from me. |
| 21:17 | How oft is the candle of the wicked put out? and how oft commeth their destruction vpon them? God distributeth sorrowes in his anger. |
| 21:18 | They are as stubble before the winde, and as chaffe that the storme carieth away. |
| 21:19 | God layeth vp his iniquitie for his children: he rewardeth him, and he shall know it. |
| 21:20 | His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drinke of the wrath of the Almightie. |
| 21:21 | For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the number of his moneths is cut off in the middest? |
| 21:22 | Shall any teach God knowledge? seeing he iudgeth those that are high. |
| 21:23 | One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet. |
| 21:24 | His breasts are full of milke, and his bones are moistened with marrow. |
| 21:25 | And another dieth in the bitternesse of his soule, and neuer eateth with pleasure. |
| 21:26 | They shall lie downe alike in the dust, and the wormes shall couer them. |
| 21:27 | Behold, I know your thoughts, and the deuices which yee wrongfully imagine against me. |
| 21:28 | For ye say, where is the house of the prince? and where are the dwelling places of the wicked? |
| 21:29 | Haue ye not asked them that goe by the way? and doe ye not know their tokens? |
| 21:30 | That the wicked is reserued to the day of destruction; they shall bee brought foorth to the day of wrath. |
| 21:31 | Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall repay him what he hath done? |
| 21:32 | Yet shall hee be brought to the graue, & shall remaine in the tombe. |
| 21:33 | The cloudes of the valley shalbe sweete vnto him, and euery man shall draw after him, as there are innumerable before him. |
| 21:34 | How then comfort ye me in vaine, seeing in your answeres there remaineth falshood? |

| 21:7 | Wherefore do the wicked liue, and waxe olde, and grow in wealth? |
| 21:8 | Their seede is established in their sight with them, and their generation before their eyes. |
| 21:9 | Their houses are peaceable without feare, and the rod of God is not vpon them. |
| 21:10 | Their bullocke gendreth, and fayleth not: their cow calueth, and casteth not her calfe. |
| 21:11 | They send forth their children like sheepe, and their sonnes dance. |
| 21:12 | They take the tabret and harpe, and reioyce in the sound of the organs. |
| 21:13 | They spend their dayes in wealth, and suddenly they go downe to the graue. |
| 21:14 | They say also vnto God, Depart from vs: for we desire not the knowledge of thy wayes. |
| 21:15 | Who is the Almightie, that we should serue him? and what profit should we haue, if we should pray vnto him? |
| 21:16 | Lo, their wealth is not in their hand: therfore let the counsell of the wicked bee farre from me. |
| 21:17 | How oft shall the candle of the wicked be put out? and their destruction come vpon them? he wil deuide their liues in his wrath. |

| 21:19 | God wil lay vp the sorowe of the father for his children: when he rewardeth him, hee shall knowe it. |
| 21:20 | His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drinke of the wrath of the Almightie. |

| 21:22 | Shall any teache God knowledge, who iudgeth the highest things? |
| 21:23 | One dyeth in his full strength, being in all ease and prosperitie. |
| 21:24 | His breasts are full of milke, and his bones runne full of marowe. |
| 21:25 | And another dieth in the bitternes of his soule, and neuer eateth with pleasure. |
| 21:26 | They shall sleepe both in the dust, and the wormes shall couer them. |
| 21:27 | Behold, I know your thoughts, and the enterprises, wherewith ye do me wrong. |
| 21:28 | For ye say, Where is the princes house? and where is the tabernacle of the wickeds dwelling? |
| 21:29 | May ye not aske the that go by the way? and ye can not deny their signes. |
| 21:30 | But the wicked is kept vnto the day of destruction, and they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath. |
| 21:31 | Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall reward him for that he hath done? |
| 21:32 | Yet shall he be brought to the graue, and remaine in the heape. |
| 21:33 | The slimie valley shalbe sweete vnto him, and euery man shall draw after him, as before him there were innumerable. |
| 21:34 | How then comfort ye me in vaine, seeing in your answeres there remaine but lyes? |

| 21:3 | Suffre me a lytle, that I maye speake also, and then laugh my wordes to scorne. |
| 21:4 | Is it for mans sake that I make thys disputacyon? Which yf it were so, shulde not my sprete be then in sore trouble? |
| 21:5 | Marcke me well, and be abasshed, and laye youre hand vpon youre mouth. |
| 21:6 | For when I consyder my selfe, I am afrayed, and my fleshe is smytten with feare. |
| 21:7 | Wherfore do wycked men lyue in health and prosperite, come to theyr olde age, and increase in ryches? |
| 21:8 | Their chyldren lyue in theyr syght, and theyr generacyon before theyr eyes. |
| 21:9 | Their houses are safe from all feare, and the rodd of God doth not smyte them. |
| 21:10 | Their bullocke gendreth, and that not out of tyme: theyr cowe calueth, and is not vnfrutefull. |
| 21:11 | They sende forth their children by flockes, and their sonnes lede the daunce. |
| 21:12 | They beare with them tabrettes and harpes, and haue instrumentes of musycke at their pleasure. |
| 21:13 | They spende their dayes in welthynesse: but sodenly they go downe to hell. |
| 21:14 | They saye also vnto God: go from vs, we desyre not the knowledge of thy wayes. |
| 21:15 | Who is the Allmyghtie, that we shulde serue hym? And what profyt shuld we haue to submyt our selues vnto him? |
| 21:16 | Lo, there is vtterly no goodnesse in them, therfore will not I haue to do with the councell of the vngodly. |
| 21:17 | How oft shall the candle of the wycked be put out? how oft commeth their destruccion vpon them? O what sorowe shal God geue them for their parte in hys wrath? |
| 21:18 | Yee, they shall be euen as haye before the wynde, and as chaffe that the storme caryeth awaye. |
| 21:19 | And though God saue their children from soch sorowe, yet wyll he so rewarde them selues, that they shall knowe it. |
| 21:20 | Their awne destruccion and misery shall they se with their eyes, and drincke of the fearfull wrath of the Almyghty. |
| 21:21 | For what careth he what become of his housholde after hys death, whan the nombre of his monethes is cut short? |
| 21:22 | In as moch then as God hath the hyest power of all, who can teach him eny knowledge? |
| 21:23 | One dyeth now when he is mightye and at hys best, ryche, and in prosperite: |
| 21:24 | euen when his bowels are at the fattest, and hys bones full of mary. |
| 21:25 | Another dyeth in sorowe and heuinesse, and neuer had good dayes. |
| 21:26 | They shall slepe both a lyke in the earth, & the wormes shall couer them. |
| 21:27 | Beholde, I knowe what ye thincke, yee, and the sotiltye that ye ymagyn agaynst me. |
| 21:28 | For ye saye: where is the princes palace? and where is the dwellynge of the vngodly: |
| 21:29 | haue ye not asked them that go by the waye? Doutlesse ye cannot denye their tokens, |
| 21:30 | that the wicked is kepte vnto the daye of destruccyon, and that the vngodly shalbe brought forth to the daye of wrath. |
| 21:31 | Who darre reproue him for his waye to hys face? Who wyll rewarde him for the vngraciousnesse that he doth? |
| 21:32 | Yet shall he be brought to his graue, and dwell among the heape of the deed. |
| 21:33 | Then shall he be fayne to be buried amonge the stones of the playne. All men also must folowe him, and there are innumerable gone before him. |
| 21:34 | How vayne then is the comforte that ye geue me? Doth not falshede remayne in all youre answers? |
