| 26:1 | Iob answered, and sayde: |
| 26:2 | Whom hast thou helped? Him that is wtout strength? what comforte geuest thou vnto hym that hath no strength? |
| 26:3 | Where is the councell that thou shuldest geue him, which hath no wysdome? Hast thou shewed the waye of ryght lyuinge. |
| 26:4 | To whom hast thou spoken those wordes? Who made the breth to come out of thy mouth? |
| 26:5 | Are not deed thinges shapen vnder the waters: & thinges by the waters syde? |
| 26:6 | Hell is naked before him, and the very destruccion it selfe cannot be hyd out of his syght. |
| 26:7 | He stretcheth out the north ouer the emptie, and hangeth the earth vpon nothing. |
| 26:8 | He byndeth the waters in his cloudes, and the cloude is not broken vnder them. |
| 26:9 | He holdeth back his stole, that it cannot be sene, and spredeth his cloude before it. |
| 26:10 | He hath compased the waters with certayne boundes vntill the daye & nyght come to an ende. |
| 26:11 | The very pyllers of heauen tremble and quake at his reprofe. |
| 26:12 | He stilleth the se with his power, and thorow his wysdome smyteth he the strength therof. |
| 26:13 | Hys sprete hath garnisshed the heauens, and hys hande hath made the rebellious serpent. |
| 26:14 | Lo, this is nowe a shorte summe of his wayes. But who is able sufficiently to rehearse hys workes? Who can perceaue and vnderstande the thondre of hys power? |
| 26:1 | Forsothe Joob answeride, and seide, Whos helpere art thou? |
| 26:2 | whether `of the feble, and susteyneste the arm of hym, which is not strong? |
| 26:3 | To whom hast thou youe counsel? In hap to hym that hath not wisdom; and thou hast schewid ful myche prudence. |
| 26:4 | Ether whom woldist thou teche? whether not hym, that made brething? |
| 26:5 | Lo! giauntis weilen vnder watris, and thei that dwellen with hem. |
| 26:6 | Helle is nakid bifor hym, and noon hilyng is to perdicioun. |
| 26:7 | Which God stretchith forth the north on voide thing, and hangith the erthe on nouyt. |
| 26:8 | `Which God byndith watris in her cloudis, that tho breke not out togidere dounward. |
| 26:9 | `Whych God holdith the cheer of his seete, and spredith abrood theron his cloude. |
| 26:10 | He hath cumpassid a terme to watris, til that liyt and derknessis be endid. |
| 26:11 | The pilers of heuene tremblen, and dreden at his wille. |
| 26:12 | In the strengthe of hym the sees weren gaderid togidere sudeynly, and his prudence smoot the proude. |
| 26:13 | His spiryt ournede heuenes, and the crokid serpent was led out bi his hond, ledynge out as a mydwijf ledith out a child. |
| 26:14 | Lo! these thingis ben seid in partie of `hise weyes; and whanne we han herd vnnethis a litil drope of his word, who may se the thundur of his greetnesse? |

| 26:5 | The giauntes & worthies yt are slayne, & lye vnder ye worlde wt their copanions: |
| 26:6 | yee & all they which dwell beneth in the hell are not hyd fro him, & the very destruccion it self ca not be kepte out of his sight. |
| 26:7 | He stretcheth out ye north ouer the emptie, & hageth ye earth vpo nothinge. |
| 26:8 | He byndeth ye water in his cloudes, that they fall not downe together. |
| 26:9 | He holdeth back his stole, that it caa not be sene, and spredeth his cloudes before it. |
| 26:10 | He hath copased the waters wt certayne boundes, vntill the daye & night come to an ende. |
| 26:11 | The very pilers of heaue treble & quake at his reprofe. |
| 26:12 | He stilleth the see with his power, & thorow his wy?dome hath he set forth ye worlde. |
| 26:13 | With his sprete hath he garnished the heaues, & with his hande hath he wounded the rebellious serpet. |
| 26:14 | This is now a shorte summe of his doynges. But who is able sufficiently to rehearce his workes? Who can perceaue and vnderstonde ye thondre of his power? |
