| 30:3 | For want and famine they were solitarie: flying into the wildernesse in former time desolate and waste: |
| 30:4 | Who cut vp mallowes by the bushes, and Iuniper rootes for their meate. |

| 30:14 | They came vpon me as a wide breaking in of waters: in the desolation they rolled themselues vpon me. |
| 30:15 | Terrours are turned vpon mee: they pursue my soule as the wind: and my welfare passeth away as a cloude. |
| 30:16 | And now my soule is powred out vpon me: the dayes of affliction haue taken hold vpon me. |

| 30:18 | By the great force of my disease, is my garment changed: it bindeth mee about as the collar of my coat. |
| 30:19 | He hath cast mee into the myre, and I am become like dust and ashes. |

| 30:21 | Thou art become cruell to me: with thy strong hand thou opposest thy selfe against me. |
| 30:22 | Thou liftest me vp to the wind: thou causest me to ride vpon it, and dissoluest my substance. |
| 30:23 | For I know that thou wilt bring me to death, and to the house appointed for all liuing. |
| 30:24 | Howbeit he will not stretch out his hand to the graue, though they cry in his destruction. |
| 30:25 | Did not I weepe for him that was in trouble? was not my soule grieued for the poore? |

| 30:29 | I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owles. |
| 30:30 | My skinne is blacke vpon mee, and my bones are burnt with heat. |
| 30:31 | My harpe also is turned to mourning, and my organe into the voyce of them that weepe. |
| 30:1 | Bvt now they that are yonger then I, mocke me: yea, they whose fathers I haue refused to set with the dogges of my flockes. |
| 30:2 | For whereto shoulde the strength of their handes haue serued mee, seeing age perished in them? |
| 30:3 | For pouertie and famine they were solitary, fleeing into the wildernes, which is darke, desolate and waste. |

| 30:7 | They roared among the bushes, and vnder the thistles they gathered themselues. |
| 30:8 | They were the children of fooles and the children of villaines, which were more vile then the earth. |
| 30:9 | And now am I their song, and I am their talke. |
| 30:10 | They abhorre me, and flee farre from mee, and spare not to spit in my face. |
| 30:11 | Because that God hath loosed my corde and humbled mee, they haue loosed the bridle before me. |
| 30:12 | The youth rise vp at my right hand: they haue pusht my feete, and haue trode on me as on the paths of their destruction. |
| 30:13 | They haue destroyed my paths: they tooke pleasure at my calamitie, they had none helpe. |

| 30:17 | It pearceth my bones in the night, and my sinewes take no rest. |
| 30:18 | For the great vehemencie is my garment changed, which compasseth me about as the colar of my coate. |
| 30:19 | He hath cast me into the myre, and I am become like ashes and dust. |
| 30:20 | Whe I cry vnto thee, thou doest not heare me, neither regardest me, when I stand vp. |
| 30:21 | Thou turnest thy selfe cruelly against me, and art enemie vnto mee with the strength of thine hand. |
| 30:22 | Thou takest me vp and causest mee to ride vpon the winde, and makest my strength to faile. |
| 30:23 | Surely I knowe that thou wilt bring mee to death, and to the house appoynted for all the liuing. |
| 30:24 | Doubtles none can stretch his hand vnto the graue, though they cry in his destruction. |
| 30:25 | Did not I weepe with him that was in trouble? was not my soule in heauinesse for the poore? |

| 30:2 | The power & strength of their handes might do me no good: for the tyme is but lost among them. |
| 30:3 | For very misery and honger, they fled in to the wyldernesse horrible & waist, |

| 30:8 | They were the chyldren of fooles and vylaines, which are vexed out of the worlde. |
| 30:9 | Now am I their songe, and am become their ieastinge stock: |
| 30:10 | they abhorre me, and flye farre fro me, and stayne my face with spetle. |
| 30:11 | For the Lord hath loosed the strength of my body, and brought me lowe. The brydle haue they cast out of my syght. |
| 30:12 | Upon my right hande ryse the yonge men agaynst me, they haue hurte my fete, treadinge vpon me, as vpon the wayes that they wolde destroye. |
| 30:13 | My pathes haue they clene marred. It was so easy for them to do me harme, that they neded no man to helpe them. |

| 30:30 | My skynne vpon me is turned to black, and my bones are brent with heate: |
| 30:31 | my harpe is turned to sorowe, and my pype to wepynge. |
