Job - Chapter: 35

>
35:1Elihu spake moreouer, and said,
35:2Thinkest thou this to bee right, that thou saydest, My righteousnesse is more then Gods?
35:3For thou saydst, what aduantage will it bee vnto thee, and, what profite shall I haue, if I bee cleansed from my sinne?
35:4I will answere thee, and thy companions with thee.
35:5Looke vnto the heauens and see, and behold the clouds which are higher then thou.
35:6If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or it thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou vnto him?
35:7If thou be righteous, what giuest thou him? or what receiueth hee of thine hand?
35:8Thy wickednesse may hurt a man as thou art, and thy righteousnesse may profit the sonne of man.
35:9By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to crie: they crie out by reason of the arme of the mightie.
35:10But none saith, where is God my maker, who giueth songs in the night?
35:11Who teacheth vs more then the beasts of the earth, and maketh vs wiser then the foules of heauen.
35:12There they crie, (but none giueth answere) because of the pride of euill men.
35:13Surely God wil not heare vanitie, neither wil the Almightie regard it.
35:14Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet iudgement is before him, therefore trust thou in him.
35:15But now because it is not so, hee hath visited in his anger, yet he knoweth it not in great extremitie:
35:16Therefore doeth Iob open his mouth in vaine: he multiplieth words without knowledge.

35:1Elihu spake moreouer, and said,
35:2Thinkest thou this right, that thou hast said, I am more righteous then God?
35:3For thou hast said, What profiteth it thee and what auaileth it me, to purge me from my sinne?
35:4Therefore will I answere thee, and thy companions with thee.
35:5Looke vnto the heauen, and see and behold the cloudes which are hyer then thou.
35:6If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him, yea, when thy sinnes be many, what doest thou vnto him?
35:7If thou be righteous, what giuest thou vnto him? or what receiueth he at thine hand?
35:8Thy wickednesse may hurt a man as thou art: and thy righteousnes may profite ye sonne of man.
35:9They cause many that are oppressed, to crye, which crye out for ye violence of the mightie.
35:10But none saieth, Where is God that made me, which giueth songs in the nyght?
35:11Which teacheth vs more then the beastes of the earth, and giueth vs more wisdome then the foules of the heauen.
35:12Then they crye because of the violence of the wicked, but he answereth not.
35:13Surely God will not heare vanitie, neyther will the Almightie regard it.
35:14Although thou sayest to God, Thou wilt not regard it, yet iudgement is before him: trust thou in him.
35:15But nowe because his anger hath not visited, nor called to count the euill with great extremitie,
35:16Therfore Iob openeth his mouth in vaine, and multiplieth wordes without knowledge.

35:1Elihu spake moreouer, & sayde:
35:2Thynkest thou it ryght, that thou sayest: I am ryghtuous before God?
35:3For thou sayest: What aduauntage will it be vnto the, and what profyt shalt thou haue of my synne.
35:4Therfore will I geue answere vnto the and to thy companyons wyth the
35:5loke vnto the heauen, and beholde it: consydre the cloudes, whych are hyer then thou.
35:6If thou hast synned, what hast thou done against him? If thine offences be many, what hast thou done vnto hym?
35:7If thou be ryghtuous what geuest thou him? Or what will he receaue of thy hand?
35:8Of soche an vngodly personne as thou, and of the sonne of man that is ryghtuous as thou pretendest to be:
35:9there is a greate cry and complaynte made by them that are oppressed wyth vyolence, yee, euery man complayneth vpon the crueltye of tyrauntes.
35:10For soche a one neuer sayeth: Where is God that made me? & that geueth vs occasion to prayse him in the night?
35:11Whych geueth vs more vnderstandyng then he doth the beastes of the earth, & teacheth vs more then he doth the foules of heauen.
35:12If any soch complayne, no man geueth answere, and that because of the wyckednesse of proude tyrauntes.
35:13But yf a man call vpon God, doth not he heare him? Doth not the almyghtye accepte his crye?
35:14Whan thou speakest then, shulde not he pardon the, yf thou open thy selfe before hym, and put thy trust in hym?
35:15Then vseth he no vyolence in hys wrath, nether hath he pleasure in curyous & depe inquysycions.
35:16Therfore doth Iob open hys mouth but in vayne, and folyshly doth he make so many wordes.
