Job - Chapter: 35

>
35:1Elihu spake moreouer, & sayde:
35:2Thynkest thou it ryght, that thou sayest: I am ryghtuous before God?
35:3For thou sayest: What aduauntage will it be vnto the, and what profyt shalt thou haue of my synne.
35:4Therfore will I geue answere vnto the and to thy companyons wyth the
35:5loke vnto the heauen, and beholde it: consydre the cloudes, whych are hyer then thou.
35:6If thou hast synned, what hast thou done against him? If thine offences be many, what hast thou done vnto hym?
35:7If thou be ryghtuous what geuest thou him? Or what will he receaue of thy hand?
35:8Of soche an vngodly personne as thou, and of the sonne of man that is ryghtuous as thou pretendest to be:
35:9there is a greate cry and complaynte made by them that are oppressed wyth vyolence, yee, euery man complayneth vpon the crueltye of tyrauntes.
35:10For soche a one neuer sayeth: Where is God that made me? & that geueth vs occasion to prayse him in the night?
35:11Whych geueth vs more vnderstandyng then he doth the beastes of the earth, & teacheth vs more then he doth the foules of heauen.
35:12If any soch complayne, no man geueth answere, and that because of the wyckednesse of proude tyrauntes.
35:13But yf a man call vpon God, doth not he heare him? Doth not the almyghtye accepte his crye?
35:14Whan thou speakest then, shulde not he pardon the, yf thou open thy selfe before hym, and put thy trust in hym?
35:15Then vseth he no vyolence in hys wrath, nether hath he pleasure in curyous & depe inquysycions.
35:16Therfore doth Iob open hys mouth but in vayne, and folyshly doth he make so many wordes.

35:1Therfor Helyu spak eft these thingis, Whethir thi thouyt semeth euene,
35:2`ether riytful, to thee, that thou schuldist seie, Y am riytfulere than God?
35:3For thou seidist, That, that is good, plesith not thee; ethir what profitith it to thee, if Y do synne?
35:4Therfor Y schal answere to thi wordis, and to thi frendis with thee.
35:5Se thou, and biholde heuene, and biholde thou the eir, that God is hiyere than thou.
35:6If thou synnest `ayens hym, what schalt thou anoye hym? and if thi wickidnessis ben multiplied, what schalt thou do ayens hym?
35:7Certis if thou doist iustli, what schalt thou yyue to hym; ether what schal he take of thin hond?
35:8Thi wickidnesse schal anoie a man, which is lijk thee; and thi riytfulnesse schal helpe the sone of a man.
35:9Thei schulen cry for the multitude of fals chalengeris, and thei schulen weile for the violence of the arm of tirauntis.
35:10And Joob seide not, Where is God, that made me, and that yaf songis in the nyyt?
35:11Which God techith vs aboue the beestis of erthe, and he schal teche vs aboue the briddis of heuene.
35:12There thei schulen crye, and God schal not here, for the pride of yuele men.
35:13For God schal not here with out cause, and Almyyti God schal biholde the causis of ech man.
35:14Yhe, whanne thou seist, He biholdith not; be thou demed bifor hym, and abide thou hym.
35:15For now he bryngith not in his strong veniaunce, nether vengith `greetli felonye.
35:16Therfor Joob openith his mouth in veyn, and multiplieth wordis with out kunnyng.

35:1Eliu spake morouer, and sayde:
35:2Thinkest thou it right that thou sayest: I am rightuous before God
35:3Seinge thou sayest so, how doest thou knowe it? What thinge hast thou more excellet, the I yt am a synner?
35:4Therfore will I geue answere vnto the & thy frendes:
35:5loke vnto the heaue, & beholde it: cosidre ye cloudes, how they are hyer then thou.
35:6Yf thou synnest, what dost thou vnto him? Yf thine offences be many, how gettest thou his fauoure?
35:7Yf thou be rightuous, what geuest thou him? Or, what receaueth he of thy handes?
35:8Of soch an vngodly personne as thou, & of ye sonne of man that is rightuous as thou pretendest to be:
35:9there is a greate crie & coplaynte made by the that are oppressed with violence, yee eueryman complayneth vpon the cruell arme of tyrauntes.
35:10For soch one neuer sayeth: Where is God that made me? ad yt shyneth vpon vs, that we might prayse him in the night?
35:11Which geueth vs more vnderstodinge then he doth the beastes of the earth, and teacheth vs more then the foules off heaue.
35:12Yf eny soch complayne, no ma geueth answere, and yt because of the wickednesse off proude tyrauntes.
35:13But yf a man call vpon God, doth not he heare him? Doth not the Almightie accepte his crie?
35:14Wha thou speakest then, shulde not he pardon the, yff thou open thyself before him, and put thy trust in him?
35:15Then vseth he no violence in his wrath nether hath he pleasure in curious and depe inquisicions.
35:16Therfore hath Iob opened his mouth but in vayne, ad folishly hath he made so many wordes.
