Job - Chapter: 39

>
39:1Knowest thou the time when the wild goates of the rocke bring forth? or canst thou marke when the hindes doe calue?
39:2Canst thou number the moneths that they fulfill? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?
39:3They bowe themselues, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrowes.
39:4Their yong ones are in good liking, they grow vp with corne: they go forth, and returne not vnto them.
39:5Who hath sent out the wild asse free? or who hath looosed the bands of the wild asse?
39:6Whose house I haue made the wildernesse, and the barren lande his dwellings.
39:7He scorneth the multitude of the citie, neither regardeth he the crying of the driuer.
39:8The range of the mountaines is his pasture, and hee searcheth after euery greene thing.
39:9Will the Unicorne be willing to serue thee? or abide by thy cribbe?
39:10Canst thou binde the Unicorne with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleyes after thee?
39:11Wilt thou trust him because his strength is great? or wilt thou leaue thy labour to him?
39:12Wilt thou beleeue him that hee will bring home thy seed? and gather it into thy barne?
39:13Gauest thou the goodly wings vnto the peacocks, or wings and feathers vnto the Ostrich?
39:14Which leaueth her egges in the earth, and warmeth them in dust,
39:15And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wilde beast may breake them.
39:16She is hardened against her yong ones, as though they were not hers: her labour is in vaine without feare.
39:17Because God hath depriued her of wisedome, neither hath he imparted to her vnderstanding.
39:18What time she lifteth vp her selfe on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider.
39:19Hast thou giuen the horse strength? hast thou clothed his necke with thunder?
39:20Canst thou make him afraid as a grashopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.
39:21He paweth in the valley, and reioyceth in his strength: hee goeth on to meet the armed men.
39:22He mocketh at feare, and is not affrighted: neither turneth he backe from the sword.
39:23The quiuer ratleth against him, the glittering speare and the shield.
39:24He swalloweth the ground with fiercenesse and rage: neither beleeueth he that it is the sound of the trumpet.
39:25Hee saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha: and he smelleth the battaile afarre off, the thunder of the captaines, and the shouting.
39:26Doeth the hawke flie by thy wisedome, and stretch her wings toward the South?
39:27Doeth the Eagle mount vp at thy commaund? and make her nest on high?
39:28She dwelleth and abideth on the rocke, vpon the cragge of the rocke, and the strong place.
39:29From thence she seeketh the pray, and her eyes behold a farre off.
39:30Her yong ones also suck vp blood: and where the slaine are, there is he.

39:1Wilt thou hunt the pray for the lyon? or fill the appetite of the lyons whelpes,
39:2When they couch in their places, and remaine in the couert to lye in waite?
39:3Who prepareth for the rauen his meate, when his birdes crie vnto God, wandering for lacke of meate?
39:4Knowest thou the time when the wilde goates bring foorth yong? or doest thou marke when the hindes doe calue?
39:5Canst thou nomber the moneths that they fulfill? or knowest thou the time when they bring foorth?
39:6They bow them selues: they bruise their yong and cast out their sorowes.
39:7Yet their yong waxe fatte, and growe vp with corne: they goe foorth and returne not vnto them.
39:8Who hath set the wilde asse at libertie? or who hath loosed the bondes of the wilde asse?
39:9It is I which haue made the wildernesse his house, and the salt places his dwellings.
39:10He derideth the multitude of the citie: he heareth not the crie of the driuer.
39:11He seeketh out the mountaine for his pasture, and searcheth after euery greene thing.
39:12Will the vnicorne serue thee? or will he tary by thy cribbe?
39:13Canst thou binde the vnicorne with his band to labour in the furrowe? or will he plowe the valleyes after thee?
39:14Wilt thou trust in him, because his strength is great, and cast off thy labour vnto him?
39:15Wilt thou beleeue him, that he will bring home thy seede, and gather it vnto thy barne?
39:16Hast thou giuen the pleasant wings vnto the peacockes? or winges and feathers vnto the ostriche?
39:17Which leaueth his egges in the earth, and maketh them hote in the dust,
39:18And forgetteth that the foote might scatter the, or that the wild beast might breake the.
39:19He sheweth himselfe cruell vnto his yong ones, as they were not his, and is without feare, as if he trauailed in vaine.
39:20For God had depriued him of wisedom, and hath giuen him no part of vnderstanding.
39:21When time is, he mounteth on hie: he mocketh the horse and his rider.
39:22Hast thou giuen the horse strength? or couered his necke with neying?
39:23Hast thou made him afraid as the grashopper? his strong neying is fearefull.
39:24He diggeth in the valley, and reioyceth in his strength: he goeth foorth to meete the harnest man.
39:25He mocketh at feare, and is not afraid, and turneth not backe from the sworde,
39:26Though the quiuer rattle against him, the glittering speare and the shield.
39:27He swalloweth the ground for fearcenes and rage, and he beleeueth not that it is the noise of the trumpet.
39:28He sayth among the trumpets, Ha, ha: hee smellleth the battell afarre off, and the noyse of the captaines, and the shouting.
39:29Shall the hauke flie by thy wisedome, stretching out his wings toward the South?
39:30Doeth the eagle mount vp at thy commandement, or make his nest on hie? (Job ) Shee abideth and remaineth in the rocke, euen vpon the toppe of the rocke, and the tower. : (Job ) From thence she spieth for meate, and her eyes beholde afarre off. : (Job ) His young ones also sucke vp blood: and where the slaine are, there is she. : (Job ) Moreouer ye Lord spake vnto Iob, and said, : (Job ) Is this to learne to striue with the Almightie? he that reprooueth God, let him answere to it. : (Job ) Then Iob answered the Lord, saying, : (Job ) Beholde, I am vile: what shall I answere thee? I will lay mine hand vpon my mouth. : (Job ) Once haue I spoken, but I will answere no more, yea twise, but I will proceede no further. :

39:1Knowest thou the tyme when the wylde goates brynge forth theyr yonge, amonge the stony rockes? Or layest thou wayte when the hyndes vse to fawne?
39:2rekenest thou the monethes after they engendre, that thou knowest the tyme of theyr bearinge?
39:3or when they lye downe, when they cast theyr younge ones, and when they are delyuered of theyr trauayle and payne?
39:4How their younge ones growe vp, & waxe greate thorow good fedyng? whan they go forth, and returne not agayne vnto them?
39:5who letteth the wylde asse go fre, or who lowseth the bondes of the mule?
39:6Euen I whych haue geuen the wyldernes to be theyr house, and the vntylled land to be theyr dwellyng place.
39:7That they may geue no force for the multitude of people in the cyties, nether regarde the cryenge of the dryuer:
39:8but seke theyr pasture about the mountaynes, and folowe the grene grasse.
39:9Wyll the vnycorne be so tame as to do the seruice, or to abyde styll by thy crybbe?
39:10Canst thou bynd the yock about the vnycorne in thy forowe, to make hym plowe after the in the valleys?
39:11Mayest thou trust hym (because he is strong) or committe thy labour vnto hym?
39:12Mayest thou beleue hym, that he wyll bringe home thy corne, or to cary any thyng vnto thy barne?
39:13Gauest thou the fayre wynges vnto the pecockes, or wynges & fethers vnto the storke?
39:14For he leaueth hys egges in the earth and layeth them in the dust.
39:15He remembreth not, that they myght be troden wyth fete, or broken wyth some wylde beast.
39:16So harde is he vnto hys yonge ones, as though they were not hys, and laboureth in vayne wythout any feare.
39:17And that because God hath taken wysdome from hym, & hath not geuen hym vnderstandynge.
39:18When hys tyme is that he flyeth vp on hye, he careth nether for horse ner man.
39:19Hast thou geuen the horsse hys strength, or lerned him to bowe downe his neck wt feare:
39:20that he letteth hym selfe be dryuen forth lyke a greshopper, where as the stoute neynge that he maketh, is fearfull?
39:21he breaketh the grounde with the hoffes of his fete chearfully in his strength, and runneth to mete the harnest men.
39:22He layeth asyde all feare, hys stomack is not abated, nether starteth he a back for any swerde.
39:23Though the quyuers rattle vpon him, though the speare and shilde glystre:
39:24yet russheth he in fearsely, and beateth vpon the grounde. He feareth not the noyse of the trompettes,
39:25but as soone as he heareth the shawmes blowe, tush (sayeth he) for he smelleth the battel a farre of, the noyse, the captaynes and the shoutinge.
39:26Commeth it thorow thy wysdome, that the Goshauke flyeth towarde the South?
39:27Doth the Aegle mount vp, and make hys nest on hye at thy commaundement?
39:28He abydeth in the stony rockes, and vpon the hye toppes of harde mountaynes, where no man can come.
39:29From thence seketh he his praye, & loketh farre about with hys eyes.
39:30Hys younge ones are fed with bloud: & where any deed body lyeth, there is he immediatly.
