2:1	Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2:2	The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
2:3	Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
2:4	He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
2:5	Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
2:6	Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
2:7	I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
2:8	Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
2:9	Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
2:10	Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
2:11	Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
2:12	Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.


2:1	למה רגשׁו גוים ולאמים יהגו ריק׃
2:2	יתיצבו מלכי ארץ ורוזנים נוסדו יחד על יהוה ועל משׁיחו׃
2:3	ננתקה את מוסרותימו ונשׁליכה ממנו עבתימו׃
2:4	יושׁב בשׁמים ישׂחק אדני ילעג׃
2:5	אז ידבר אלימו באפו ובחרונו יבהלמו׃
2:6	ואני נסכתי מלכי על ציון הר קדשׁי׃
2:7	אספרה אל חק יהוה אמר אלי בני אתה אני היום ילדתיך׃
2:8	שׁאל ממני ואתנה גוים נחלתך ואחזתך אפסי ארץ׃
2:9	תרעם בשׁבט ברזל ככלי יוצר תנפצם׃
2:10	ועתה מלכים השׂכילו הוסרו שׁפטי ארץ׃
2:11	עבדו את יהוה ביראה וגילו ברעדה׃
2:12	נשׁקו בר פן יאנף ותאבדו דרך כי יבער כמעט אפו אשׁרי כל חוסי׃


2:1	Why have nations tumultuously assembled? And do peoples meditate vanity?
2:2	Station themselves do kings of the earth, And princes have been united together, Against Jehovah, and against His Messiah:
2:3	`Let us draw off Their cords, And cast from us Their thick bands.'
2:4	He who is sitting in the heavens doth laugh, The Lord doth mock at them.
2:5	Then doth He speak unto them in His anger, And in His wrath He doth trouble them:
2:6	`And I -- I have anointed My King, Upon Zion -- My holy hill.'
2:7	I declare concerning a statute: Jehovah said unto me, `My Son Thou `art', I to-day have brought thee forth.
2:8	Ask of Me and I give nations -- thy inheritance, And thy possession -- the ends of earth.
2:9	Thou dost rule them with a sceptre of iron, As a vessel of a potter Thou dost crush them.'
2:10	And now, O kings, act wisely, Be instructed, O judges of earth,
2:11	Serve ye Jehovah with fear, And rejoice with trembling.
2:12	Kiss the Chosen One, lest He be angry, And ye lose the way, When His anger burneth but a little, O the happiness of all trusting in Him!
