Psalms - Chapter: 12

>
12:1To him that excelleth vpon an instrument of eyght strynges a Psalme of Dauid. Helpe Lord, for there is not one godly man left. For the faythful are mynisshed from amonge the chyldren of men.
12:2They talke of vanyte, euery one wyth hys neyghboure, they do but flatter wyth theyr lyppes & dyssemble in theyr double herte.
12:3The Lorde shall rote out all disceatfull lyppes, and the tonge that speaketh proude thynges.
12:4Whych haue sayde: wyth oure tonge wyll we preuayle: we are they that ought to speake, who is Lord ouer vs.
12:5Nowe for the comforles troubles sake of the neadye, & because of the deape fyghthing of the poore, I will vp (sayeth the Lorde) and wyll helpe euery one, from hym that swelleth agaynst hym, and wyll set them at rest.
12:6The wordes of the Lorde are pure wordes euen as the syluer, whych from earth is tryed and purifyed seuen tymes in the fyre.
12:7Thou shalt kepe them (O Lorde) thou shalt preserue hym from thys generacyon for euer
12:8The vngodly walke on euery syde: whan they are exalted, the chyldren of men are put to rebuke.

12:2Hou long schal Y sette counsels in my soule; sorewe in my herte bi dai?
12:3Hou long schal myn enemy be reisid on me?
12:4My Lord God, biholde thou, and here thou me. Liytne thou myn iyen, lest ony tyme Y slepe in deth;
12:5lest ony tyme myn enemye seie, Y hadde the maistri ayens hym. Thei, that troblen me, schulen haue ioie, if Y schal be stirid; forsothe Y hopide in thi merci.
12:6Myn herte schal fulli haue ioie in thin helthe; Y schal synge to the Lord, that yyueth goodis to me, and Y schal seie salm to the name of the hiyeste Lord.

12:1Helpe LORDE, for there is not one saynte more: very fewe faithfull are there amonge the children off men.
12:2Euery man telleth lyes to his neghbor, they do but flater with their lippes and dissemble in their herte.
12:3O that the LORDE wolde rote out all disceatfull lippes, ad the tonge that speaketh proude thinges.
12:4Which saye: Oure toge shulde preuayle: we are they that ought to speake, who is lorde ouer vs?
12:5Now for the troubles sake off the oppressed, & because of the complaynte of the poore, I wil vp (sayeth the LORDE) I wil helpe the, and set the at rest.
12:6The wordes of the LORDE are pure wordes: eue as ye syluer, which from earth is tried and purified vij. tymes in the fyre.
12:7Kepe the therfore (o LORDE) and preserue vs fro this generacion for euer.
12:8And why? when vanite and ydylnes getteth the ouer hande amonge the children of men, all are full of ye vngodly.
