Psalms - Chapter: 13

>
13:1To the chaunter, a Psalme of Dauid. Howe longe wylt thou forget me (O Lorde) for euer? howe longe wylt thou hyde thy face fro me?
13:2Howe longe shall I seke councell in my soule? & be so vexed in myne hert? howe longe shall myne enemye triumphe ouer me?
13:3Consydre, and heare me (O Lorde my God) lyghten myne eyes, that I sleape not in death.
13:4Lest myne enemye saye: I haue preuayled agaynst hym: for yf I be cast downe, they that trouble me wyll reioyse at it.
13:5But my trust is in thy mercy, and my hert is ioyfull in thy saluacyon.
13:6I wyll synge of the Lord because he hath dealt so louyngly wyth me.

13:1The `title of the threttenthe salm. To the victorie of Dauid.
13:2The Lord bihelde fro heuene on the sones of men; that he se, if ony is vndurstondynge, ethir sekynge God.
13:3Alle bowiden awei, togidere thei ben maad vnprofitable; noon is that doth good, noon is `til to oon. The throte of hem is an open sepulcre, thei diden gilefuli with her tungis; the venym of snakis is vndur her lippis. Whos mouth is ful of cursyng and bittirnesse; her feet ben swift to schede out blood. Sorewe and cursidnesse is in the weies of hem, and thei knewen not the weie of pees; the drede of God is not bifor her iyen.
13:4Whether alle men that worchen wickidnesse schulen not knowe; that deuowren my puple, as mete of breed?
13:5Thei clepeden not the Lord; thei trembliden there for dreed, where was no drede;
13:6for the Lord is in a riytful generacioun. Thou hast schent the counsel of a pore man; for the Lord is his hope.

13:1How longe wilt thou forget me, o LORDE? for euer? how longe wilt thou hyde thy face fro me?
13:2Oh how loge shall I seke councell in my soule? how longe shall I be so vexed in my herte? how longe shal myne enemie triumphe ouer me?
13:3Considre, ad heare me, o LORDE my God: lighten myne eyes, that I slepe not in death.
13:4Lest myne enemie saye: I haue preuayled agaynst hi for yf I be cast downe, they that trouble me will reioyse at it.
13:5But my trust is in thy mercy, and my hert is ioyfull in thy sauynge health.
13:6I wil synge of the LORDE, that dealeth so louyngly with me. (Yee I wil prayse the name of the LORDE the most hyest)
