Psalms - Chapter: 14

>
14:1To the chaunter a Psalme of Dauid. The fole hath sayed in hys hert, there is no God. They are corrupt, and become abhomynable in theyr doynges there is not one that doth good.
14:2The Lorde loked downe from heauen vpon the chyldren of men, to se yf there were any that wolde vnderstande, and seke after God.
14:3But they are all gone out of the waye, they are all together become abhominable: there is none that doeth good, no not one.
14:4Haue they no knowledge, that all are soche worckers of myscheffe, eatynge vp my people, as it were bread and call not vpon the Lorde?
14:5There were they brought in great feare for God is in the generacyon of the ryghteous.
14:6As for you, ye haue made a mocke at the councell of the poore, because he putteth hys trust in the Lorde.
14:7Oh that the saluacyon were geuen vnto Israel out of Sion. Whan the Lorde turneth the captyuite of hys people, then shal Iacob reioyse, and Israel shall be glad.

14:1Lord, who schal dwelle in thi tabernacle; ether who schal reste in thin hooli hil?
14:2He that entrith with out wem; and worchith riytfulnesse.
14:3Which spekith treuthe in his herte; which dide not gile in his tunge. Nethir dide yuel to his neiybore; and took not schenschip ayens hise neiyboris.
14:4A wickid man is brouyt to nouyt in his siyt; but he glorifieth hem that dreden the Lord. Which swerith to his neiybore, and disseyueth not;
14:5which yaf not his money to vsure; and took not yiftis on the innocent. He, that doith these thingis, schal not be moued with outen ende.

14:1The foolish bodyes saye in their hertes: Tush, there is no God. They are corrupte, ad become abhominable in their doynges, there is not one yt doth good.
14:2The LORDE loked downe fro heaue vpo the children of men, to se yf there were eny, that wolde vnderstonde & seke after God. But they are all gone out of the waye, they are alltogether become vnprofitable: there is none that doth good, no not one.
14:3Their throte is an open sepulcre, with their tonges they haue disceaued, the poyson of Aspes is vnder their lippes.
14:4Their mouth is full of cursinge and bytternes, their fete are swift to shed bloude. Destruccion & wretchednes are in their wayes, ad the waye of peace haue they not knowne: there is no feare off God before their eyes.
14:5How can they haue vnderstondinge, yt worke myschefe, eatinge vp my people, as it were bred, & call not vpo ye LORDE?
14:6Therfore shal they be brought in greate feare, for God stondeth by the generacion of the rightuous.
14:7As for you, ye haue made a mocke at the coucell of the poore, because he putteth his trust in the LORDE. Oh yt the sauynge health were geuen vnto Israel out off Sion. Oh that the LORDE wolde delyuer his people out of captiuyte. The shulde Iacob reioyse, and Israel shulde be right glad.
