20:1The title of the twentithe salm. To victorie, the salm of Dauid.
20:2Lord, the kyng schal be glad in thi vertu; and he schal ful out haue ioye greetli on thin helthe.
20:3Thou hast youe to hym the desire of his herte; and thou hast not defraudid hym of the wille of hise lippis.
20:4For thou hast bifor come hym in the blessyngis of swetnesse; thou hast set on his heed a coroun of preciouse stoon.
20:5He axide of thee lijf, and thou yauest to hym; the lengthe of daies in to the world, `and in to the world of world.
20:6His glorie is greet in thin helthe; thou schalt putte glorie, and greet fayrnesse on hym.
20:7For thou schalt yyue hym in to blessing in to the world of world; thou schalt make hym glad in ioye with thi cheer.
20:8For the kyng hopith in the Lord; and in the merci of the hiyeste he schal not be moued.
20:9Thyn hond be foundun to alle thin enemyes; thi riythond fynde alle hem that haten thee.

 

20:1To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid. The Lord heare thee in the day of trouble: the name of ye God of Iaakob defend thee:
20:2Send thee helpe from the Sanctuarie, and strengthen thee out of Zion.
20:3Let him remember all thine offerings, and turne thy burnt offerings into asshes. Selah:
20:4And graunt thee according to thine heart, and fulfill all thy purpose:
20:5That we may reioyce in thy saluation, and set vp the banner in the Name of our God, when the Lord shall performe all thy petitions.
20:6Now know I that the Lord will helpe his anointed, and will heare him from his Sanctuarie, by the mightie helpe of his right hand.
20:7Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the Name of ye Lord our God.
20:8They are brought downe and fallen, but we are risen, and stand vpright.
20:9Saue Lord: let the King heare vs in the day that we call.
