| 34:1 | Of Dauid, when he chaunged his speche before Abimelech. which droue hym awaye and he departed. I Wyll allwaye geue thanckes vnto the Lorde, hys prayse shall euer be in my mouth. |
| 34:2 | My soule shall make her boast in the Lord the humble shall heare therof, and be glad. |
| 34:3 | O prayse the Lorde with me, and let vs magnifye hys name together. |
| 34:4 | I sought the Lorde & he hearde me, yee he deliuered me out of all my feare. |
| 34:5 | They had an eye vnto him, and were lyghtened, & their faces were not ashamed. |
| 34:6 | Lo, the poore cryeth, & the Lorde heareth hym, yee and saueth hym out of all hys troubles. |
| 34:7 | The Angell of the Lorde taryethe rounde about them that feare hym, and delyuereth them. |
| 34:8 | O taste and se, howe gracious the Lord is, blessed is the man that trusteth in hym. |
| 34:9 | O feare the Lorde, ye that be hys sayntes for they that feare hym, lacke nothynge. |
| 34:10 | The lyons do lacke, & suffre hunger but they which seke the Lorde: shall want no maner of thynge that is good. |
| 34:11 | Come ye chyldren & herken vnto me, I wyll teach you the feare of the Lorde. |
| 34:12 | What man is he that lysteth to lyue, & wold fayne se good dayes? |
| 34:13 | Kepe thy tonge from euell, & thy lyppes, that they speake no gile. |
| 34:14 | Eschue euell, & do good. seke peace and ensue it. |
| 34:15 | The eyes of the Lorde are ouer the ryghteous, & his eares are open vnto their prayers. |
| 34:16 | The countenaunce of the Lorde is agaynst them that do euell, to rote out the remembraunce of them from of the earth. |
| 34:17 | The ryghteous crye, & the Lorde heareth them, & delyuereth them out of all theyr troubles. |
| 34:18 | The Lorde is nye vnto them that are of a contryte hert, & wyll saue soche as be of an humble sprete. |
| 34:19 | Greate are the troubles of the ryghteous but the Lorde delyuereth hym out of all. |
| 34:20 | He kepeth all hys bones, so that not one of them is broken. |
| 34:21 | But mysfortune shall slaye the vngodly, and they that hate the ryghteous, shalbe desolate. |
| 34:22 | The Lorde delyuereth the soules of hys seruauntes: and all they that put theyr trust in hym shall not be destitute. |

| 34:2 | Take thou armeris and scheeld; and rise vp into help to me. |
| 34:3 | Schede out the swerd, and close togidere ayens hem that pursuen me; seie thou to my soule, Y am thin helthe. |
| 34:4 | Thei that seken my lijf; be schent, and aschamed. Thei that thenken yuels to me; be turned awei bacward, and be schent. |
| 34:5 | Be thei maad as dust bifor the face of the wynd; and the aungel of the Lord make hem streit. |
| 34:6 | Her weie be maad derknesse, and slydirnesse; and the aungel of the Lord pursue hem. |
| 34:7 | For with out cause thei hidden to me the deth of her snare; in veyn thei dispisiden my soule. |
| 34:8 | The snare which he knoweth not come to hym, and the takyng which he hidde take hym; and fall he in to the snare in that thing. |
| 34:9 | But my soule schal fulli haue ioye in the Lord; and schal delite on his helthe. |
| 34:10 | Alle my boonys schulen seie, Lord, who is lijk thee? Thou delyuerist a pore man fro the hond of his strengere; a nedi man and pore fro hem that diuersely rauischen hym. |
| 34:11 | Wickid witnessis risynge axiden me thingis, whiche Y knewe not. |
| 34:12 | Thei yeldiden to me yuels for goodis; bareynnesse to my soule. |
| 34:13 | But whanne thei weren diseseful to me; Y was clothid in an heire. I mekide my soule in fastyng; and my preier schal be turned `with ynne my bosum. |
| 34:14 | I pleside so as oure neiybore, as oure brother; Y was `maad meke so as morenynge and sorewful. |
| 34:15 | And thei weren glad, and camen togidere ayens me; turmentis weren gaderid on me, and Y knew not. |
| 34:16 | Thei weren scaterid, and not compunct, thei temptiden me, thei scornyden me with mowyng; thei gnastiden on me with her teeth. |
| 34:17 | Lord, whanne thou schalt biholde, restore thou my soule fro the wickidnesse of hem; `restore thou myn oon aloone fro liouns. |
| 34:18 | I schal knowleche to thee in a greet chirche; Y schal herie thee in a sad puple. |
| 34:19 | Thei that ben aduersaries wickidli to me, haue not ioye on me; that haten me with out cause, and bikenen with iyen. |
| 34:20 | For sotheli thei spaken pesibli to me; and thei spekynge in wrathfulnesse of erthe thouyten giles. |
| 34:21 | And thei maden large her mouth on me; thei seiden, Wel, wel! oure iyen han sien. |
| 34:22 | Lord, thou hast seen, be thou not stille; Lord, departe thou not fro me. |

| 34:7 | The angell of the LORDE pitcheth his tente rounde aboute them that feare him, and delyuereth them. |
| 34:8 | O taist and se how frendly the LORDE is, blessed is the man yt trusteth in him. |
| 34:9 | O feare the LORDE, ye yt be his sayntes: for they that feare him, lacke nothinge. |
| 34:10 | The rich shal want and suffre hunger, but they which seke the LORDE, shal wat no maner of thinge, that is good. |
| 34:11 | Come hither (o ye children) herken vnto me, I wil teach you the feare of the LORDE. |
| 34:12 | Who so listeth to lyue, & wolde fayne se good dayes. |
| 34:13 | Let him refrayne his tonge from euell, and his lippes that they speake no gyle. |
| 34:14 | Let him eschue euell, and do good: Let him seke peace & ensue it. |
| 34:15 | For the eyes of the LORDE are ouer the rightuous, and his eares are open vnto their prayers. |
| 34:16 | But the face of the LORDE beholdeth them that do euel, to destroye the remembraunce of them out of the earth. |
| 34:17 | When the rightuous crie, the LORDE heareth them, and delyuereth the out of all their troubles. |
| 34:18 | The LORDE is nye vnto them yt are contrite in hert, & wil helpe soch as be of an huble sprete. |
| 34:19 | Greate are ye troubles of the rightuous, but the LORDE delyuereth them out of all. |
| 34:20 | He kepeth all their bones, so yt not one of them is broken. |
| 34:21 | But mi?fortune shal slaye the vngodly, and they that hate ye rightuous shal be giltie. |
| 34:22 | The LORDE delyuereth the soules of his seruautes, and all they that put their trust in him, shal not offende. |
