Psalms - Chapter: 41

41:1[To the chiefe Musician. A Psalme of Dauid.] Blessed is he that considereth the poore; the Lord will deliuer him in time of trouble.
41:2The Lord will preserue him, and keepe him aliue, and he shall be blessed vpon the earth; and thou wilt not deliuer him vnto the will of his enemies.
41:3The Lord will strengthen him vpon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sicknesse.
41:4I sayd, Lord be mercifull vnto me, heale my soule, for I haue sinned against thee.
41:5Mine enemies speake euill of me: when shall hee die, and his name perish?
41:6And if hee come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquitie to it selfe, when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
41:7All that hate me, whisper together against me; against me doe they deuise my hurt.
41:8An euill disease, say they, cleaueth fast vnto him; and now that he lyeth, he shall rise vp no more.
41:9Yea mine owne familiar friend in whom I trusted, which did eate of my bread, hath lift vp his heele against me.
41:10But thou, O Lord, be mercifull vnto mee, and raise me up vp that I may requite them.
41:11By this I know that thou fauourest me: because mine enemie doeth not triumph ouer me.
41:12And as for me, thou vpholdest me in mine integritie; and settest me before thy face for euer.
41:13Blessed bee the Lord God of Israel, from euerlasting, and to euerlasting. Amen, and Amen.

 

41:1To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid. Blessed is he that iudgeth wisely of the poore: the Lord shall deliuer him in ye time of trouble.
41:2The Lord will keepe him, and preserue him aliue: he shalbe blessed vpon the earth, and thou wilt not deliuer him vnto the will of his enemies.
41:3The Lord wil strengthen him vpon ye bed of sorow: thou hast turned al his bed in his sicknes.
41:4Therefore I saide, Lord haue mercie vpon me: heale my soule, for I haue sinned against thee.
41:5Mine enemies speake euill of me, saying, When shall he die, and his name perish?
41:6And if hee come to see mee, hee speaketh lies, but his heart heapeth iniquitie within him, and when he commeth foorth, he telleth it.
41:7All they that hate me, whisper together against me: euen against me do they imagine mine hurt.
41:8A mischiefe is light vpon him, and he that lyeth, shall no more rise.
41:9Yea, my familiar friend, whom I trusted, which did eate of my bread, hath lifted vp the heele against me.
41:10Therefore, O Lord, haue mercy vpon mee, and raise me vp: so I shall reward them.
41:11By this I know that thou fauourest me, because mine enemie doth not triumph against me.
41:12And as for me, thou vpholdest me in mine integritie, and doest set me before thy face for euer.
41:13Blessed be the Lord God of Israel worlde without ende. So be it, euen so be it.

 

41:1To the chaunter, a Psalme of Dauid. Blessed is he that consydreth the poore the Lorde shall delyuer hym in the tyme of trouble.
41:2The Lorde preserue hym, & kepe him aliue: that he maye be blessed vpon earth, & delyuer not thou hym in to the wyll of hys enemyes.
41:3The Lord comforte hym, when he lyeth syck vpon hys bedd: make thou all his bedd in his sicknesse.
41:4I sayde: Lord be mercyfull vnto me, heale my soule, for I haue synned agaynst the.
41:5Myne enemyes speake euell of me: when shall he dye, & hys name perish?
41:6And yf he come to se me, he speaketh vanite, & his hart conceaueth falshode within him selfe: & whan he commeth forth, he telleth it.
41:7All myne enemyes whisper together agaynst me: euen agaynst me do they ymagin this euell.
41:8Let the sentence of giltynesse proceade agaynst him: & now that he lyeth, let him ryse vp nomore.
41:9Yee, euen mine awne familier frend whom I trusted (whych dyd also eate of my bred) hath layed greate wayte for me.
41:10But be thou mercyfull vnto me (O Lord) rayse thou me vp agayne, and I shall rewarde them.
41:11By this I know thou fauourest me, that my enemye doth not triumphe agaynst me.
41:12And whan I am in my health, thou vpholdest me, and shalt set me before thy face for euer.
41:13Blessed be the Lorde God of Israel, worlde wythout ende, Amen, and Amen.
