Psalms - Chapter: 41

41:1To the chaunter, a Psalme of Dauid. Blessed is he that consydreth the poore the Lorde shall delyuer hym in the tyme of trouble.
41:2The Lorde preserue hym, & kepe him aliue: that he maye be blessed vpon earth, & delyuer not thou hym in to the wyll of hys enemyes.
41:3The Lord comforte hym, when he lyeth syck vpon hys bedd: make thou all his bedd in his sicknesse.
41:4I sayde: Lord be mercyfull vnto me, heale my soule, for I haue synned agaynst the.
41:5Myne enemyes speake euell of me: when shall he dye, & hys name perish?
41:6And yf he come to se me, he speaketh vanite, & his hart conceaueth falshode within him selfe: & whan he commeth forth, he telleth it.
41:7All myne enemyes whisper together agaynst me: euen agaynst me do they ymagin this euell.
41:8Let the sentence of giltynesse proceade agaynst him: & now that he lyeth, let him ryse vp nomore.
41:9Yee, euen mine awne familier frend whom I trusted (whych dyd also eate of my bred) hath layed greate wayte for me.
41:10But be thou mercyfull vnto me (O Lord) rayse thou me vp agayne, and I shall rewarde them.
41:11By this I know thou fauourest me, that my enemye doth not triumphe agaynst me.
41:12And whan I am in my health, thou vpholdest me, and shalt set me before thy face for euer.
41:13Blessed be the Lorde God of Israel, worlde wythout ende, Amen, and Amen.

41:3Mi soule thirstide to God, `that is a `quik welle; whanne schal Y come, and appere bifor the face of God?
41:4Mi teeris weren looues to me bi dai and nyyt; while it is seid to me ech dai, Where is thi God?
41:5I bithouyte of these thingis, and Y schedde out in me my soule; for Y schal passe in to the place of the wondurful tabernacle, til to the hows of God. In the vois of ful out ioiyng and knoulechyng; is the sown of the etere.
41:6Mi soule, whi art thou sory; and whi disturblist thou me? Hope thou in God, for yit Y schal knouleche to hym; he is the helthe of my cheer,
41:7and my God. My soule is disturblid at my silf; therfor, God, Y schal be myndeful of thee fro the lond of Jordan, and fro the litil hil Hermonyim.
41:8Depthe clepith depthe; in the vois of thi wyndows. Alle thin hiye thingis and thi wawis; passiden ouer me.
41:9The Lord sente his merci in the dai; and his song in the nyyt.
41:10At me is a preier to the God of my lijf; Y schal seie to God, Thou art my `takere vp. Whi foryetist thou me; and whi go Y sorewful, while the enemy turmentith me?
41:11While my boonys ben brokun togidere; myn enemyes, that troblen me, dispiseden me. While thei seien to me, bi alle daies; Where is thi God?
41:12Mi soule, whi art thou sori; and whi disturblist thou me? Hope thou in God, for yit Y schal knouleche to hym; `he is the helthe of my cheer, and my God.

41:3The LORDE shal refresh him, when he lyeth sick vpon his bedd, yee thou makest his bed in all his sicknesse.
41:4I sayde: LORDE be mercifull vnto me, heale my soule, for I haue synned agaynst the.
41:5Myne enemies speake euell vpo me: whan shal he dye, and his name perishe?
41:6Though he came in to se, yet meaned he falsede in his hert, heapinge myschefe vpon himself.
41:7All they that hate me, runne together agaynst me, and ymagin euell agaynst me.
41:8They haue geuen a wicked sentence vpon me: when he lyeth, he shal ryse vp nomore.
41:9Yee euen myne owne familier frende, whom I trusted, which dyd eate my bred, hath lift vp his hele agaynst me.
41:10But be thou mercifull vnto me (o LORDE) rayse thou me vp, and I shal rewarde them.
41:11By this I knowe thou fauourest me, that my enemie shal not triumphe ouer me.
41:12Thou hast vpholden me because of my innocency, and set me before thy face for euer.
41:13O blessed be ye LORDE God of Israel, from hece forth and for euermore. Amen, Amen.
