Psalms - Chapter: 47

>
47:1To the chaunter, a Psalme for the chyldren of Corah. O clappe youre handes together (all ye people) O syng vnto God wyth the voyce of melodye.
47:2For the Lord is hye and to be feared, he is the great kynge vpon all the earth.
47:3He shall subdue the people vnder vs, and the nacions vnder oure fete.
47:4He shall chose out an heritage for vs: euen the worshyppe of Iacob whom he loued. Sela.
47:5God is gone vp wyth a mery noyse, & the Lord wyth the sownde of the trompe.
47:6O syng prayses, syng prayses vnto God: O synge prayses, synge prayses vnto oure kyng.
47:7For God is kyng of all the earth synge ye prayses wt vnderstandyng.
47:8God raygneth ouer the Heithen, God sytteth vpon hys holy seate.
47:9The princes of the people are ioyned vnto the people of the God of Abraham: for God (which is very hye exalted) doth defende the earth, as it were wyth a shylde.

 

47:1The title of the seuene and fourtithe salm. The song of salm, of the sones of Chore.
47:2The Lord is greet, and worthi to be preisid ful myche; in the citee of oure God, in the hooli hil of hym.
47:3It is foundid in the ful out ioiyng of al erthe; the hil of Syon; the sidis of the north, the citee of the greet kyng.
47:4God schal be knowun in the housis therof; whanne he schal take it.
47:5For lo! the kyngis of erthe weren gaderid togidere; thei camen into o place.
47:6Thei seynge so wondriden; thei weren disturblid, thei weren mouyd togidere, tremblyng took hem.
47:7There sorewis as of a womman trauelynge of child;
47:8in a greet spirit thou schalt al to-breke the schippis of Tharsis.
47:9As we herden, so we sien, in the citee of the Lord of vertues, in the citee of oure God; God hath foundid that citee with outen ende.

47:2For the LORDE the most hyest is to be feared, & he is the greate kynge vpo all ye earth.
47:3He shal subdue the people vnder vs, & the Heithe vnder oure fete.
47:4He choseth vs for an heretage, the beutie of Iacob whom he loued.
47:5Sela. God is gone vp wt a mery noyse, & the LORDE wt the sownde of the tropet.
47:6O synge prayses, synge prayses vnto God: O synge prayses, synge prayses vnto oure kynge.
47:7For God is kynge of all the earth, O synge prayses vnto him with vnderstondinge.
47:8God is kynge ouer the Heithe, God sitteth in his holy seate.
47:9The prynces of the people are gathered together vnto the God of Abraham: for God is farre farre hyer exalted, then the mightie lordes of the earth.
