Psalms - Chapter: 46

46:1To the chaunter, a songe for the chyldren of Corah vpon Alamoth. God is our hope & strength: a very present helpe in trouble.
46:2Therfore wyll we feare, though the erth be moued, & though the hylles be caryed in the myddest of the see.
46:3Though the waters therof rage & swell, & though the mountaynes shake at the tempest of the same. Sela.
46:4The ryuers of the floude therof shall make glad the cytie of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most hyest.
46:5God is in the myddest of her, therfore shall she not be remoued: God shall help her, & that ryght early.
46:6The Heathen make moch a doo, & the kyngdomes are moued: but God hath shewed hys voyce, & the earth shall melt awaye.
46:7The Lord of Hostes is wt vs, the God of Iacob is oure refuge. Sela.
46:8O come hyther, & beholde the worckes of the Lorde, what destruccyons he hath brought vpon the earth.
46:9He maketh warres to ceasse in all the worlde: he breaketh the bowe & knappeth the speare in sonder, & burneth the charettes in the fyre.
46:10Be styll then & knowe that I am God: I wil be exalted among the Heithen, and I wyll be exalted in the earth.
46:11The Lorde of Hostes is wyth vs, the God of Iacob is oure defence. Sela.

 

46:1The title of the sixte and fourtithe salm. To victorie, a salm to the sones of Chore.
46:2Alle ye folkis, make ioie with hondis; synge ye hertli to God in the vois of ful out ioiyng.
46:3For the Lord is hiy and ferdful; a greet kyng on al erthe.
46:4He made puplis suget to vs; and hethene men vndur oure feet.
46:5He chees his eritage to vs; the fairnesse of Jacob, whom he louyde.
46:6God stiede in hertli song; and the Lord in the vois of a trumpe.
46:7Synge ye to oure God, synge ye; synge ye to oure kyng, synge ye.
46:8For God is kyng of al erthe; synge ye wiseli.
46:9God schal regne on hethene men; God sittith on his hooli seete.
46:10The princes of puplis ben gaderid togidere with God of Abraham; for the stronge goddis of erthe ben reisid greetli.

46:1In oure troubles and aduersite, we haue founde, that God is oure refuge, oure strength and helpe.
46:2Therfore wil we not feare, though the earth fell, and though the hilles were caried in to the myddest of the see.
46:3Though the waters of the see raged & were neuer so troublous, & though the mountaynes shoke at the tepest of the same.
46:4Sela. For there is a floude, which wt his ryuers reioyseth ye cite of God, the holy dwellynge of the most hyest.
46:5God is in ye myddest of her, therfore shall she not be remoued: for God helpeth her, & yt right early.
46:6The Heithen are madd, the kyngdomes make moch adoo: but whe he sheweth his voyce, ye earth melteth awaye.
46:7The LORDE of hoostes is wt vs, the God of Iacob is oure defence.
46:8Sela. O come hither, & beholde ye workes of the LORDE, what destruccios he hath brought vpo ye earth.
46:9He hath made warres to ceasse in all the worlde: he hath broken the bowe, he hath knapped the speare in sonder, & bret the charettes in the fyre.
46:10Be still the & confesse yt I am God: I wil be exalted amonge the Heithe, & I wil be exalted vpon earth.
46:11The LORDE of hoostes is wt vs, the God of Iacob is oure defence. Sela.
