Psalms - Chapter: 64

64:1To the chaunter, a psalme of Dauid. Heare my voyce (O God) in my prayer preserue my lyfe from feare of the enemye.
64:2Hyde me from the gathering together of the froward, & from the insurrection of wicked doers.
64:3Which haue whett their tonge lyke a swearde, & shote out theyr arowes, euen bytter wordes.
64:4That they maye preuely shote at him which is perfecte: sodenly do they hit him & feare not.
64:5They courage them selues in myschefe, and commune amonge them selues, how they maye laye snares: and saye, that no man shall se them.
64:6They ymagin wickednes, & practyse it that they kepe secrete amonge them selues, euery man in the depe of his hert.
64:7But God shal sodenly shote at them with a swift arowe, that they shalbe wounded.
64:8Yee, their awne tonges shall make them fall, in so moch that who so seeth them, shall laugh them to scorne.
64:9And all men that se it, shall saye: this hath God done, for they shall perceaue that it is hys woreke.
64:10The righteous shall reioyse in the Lord, and put his trust in hym: and all they that are true of herte, shalbe glad.

 

64:1The titil of the foure and sixtithe salm. `To victorie, `the salm of the song of Dauid.
64:2God, heriyng bicometh thee in Syon; and a vow schal be yolden to thee in Jerusalem.
64:3Here thou my preier; ech man schal come to thee.
64:4The wordis of wickid men hadden the maistrye ouer vs; and thou schalt do merci to oure wickidnessis.
64:5Blessid is he, whom thou hast chose, and hast take; he schal dwelle in thin hallis. We schulen be fillid with the goodis of thin hous;
64:6thi temple is hooli, wondurful in equite. God, oure heelthe, here thou vs; thou art hope of alle coostis of erthe, and in the see afer.
64:7And thou makest redi hillis in thi vertu, and art gird with power;
64:8which disturblist the depthe of the see, the soun of the wawis therof.
64:9Folkis schulen be disturblid, and thei that dwellen in the endis schulen drede of thi signes; thou schalt delite the outgoingis of the morewtid and euentid.
64:10Thou hast visitid the lond, and hast greetli fillid it; thou hast multiplied to make it riche. The flood of God was fillid with watris; thou madist redi the mete of hem, for the makyng redi therof is so.

64:2Hyde me from the gatheringe together of ye frowarde, fro ye heape of wicked doers.
64:3Which whette their tuges like a swerde, & shute wt their venimous wordes like as wt arowes.
64:4That they maye preuely hurte ye innocet, & sodely to hit him wt out eny feare.
64:5They haue deuysed myschefe, and commoned amonge them selues, how they maye laye snares: tush (saye they) who shall se them?
64:6They ymagin wickednesse, and kepe it secrete amonge them selues, euery man in ye depe of his herte.
64:7But God shall sodenly shute with an arowe, yt they shall be wounded.
64:8Yee their owne tunges shall make them fall, In so moch that who so seyth the, shal laugh the to scorne.
64:9And all men that se it, shal saye: this hath God done for they shal perceaue, yt it is his worke.
64:10The rightuous shal reioyse in the LORDE, and put his trust in him: and all they yt are true off herte, shalbe glad therof.
