Psalms - Chapter: 71

>
71:1In thee, O Lord, doe I put my trust, let me neuer be put to confusion.
71:2Deliuer mee in thy righteousnesse, and cause me to escape: incline thine eare vnto me, and saue me.
71:3Bee thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast giuen commandement to saue mee, for thou art my rocke, and my fortresse.
71:4Deliuer me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the vnrighteous, and cruel man.
71:5For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth.
71:6By thee haue I bene holden vp from the wombe: thou art hee that tooke mee out of my mothers vowels, my praise shalbe continually of thee.
71:7I am as a wonder vnto many, but thou art my strong refuge.
71:8Let my mouth bee filled with thy praise, and with thy honour all the day.
71:9Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.
71:10For mine enemies speake against mee: and they that lay waite for my soule, take counsell together,
71:11Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him, for there is none to deliuer him.
71:12O God, be not farre from mee: O my God, make haste for my helpe.
71:13Let them be confounded and consumed, that are aduersaries to my soule: let them bee couered with reproch and dishonour, that seeke my hurt.
71:14But I wil hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.
71:15My mouth shall shew foorth thy righteousnesse, and thy saluation all the day: for I know not the numbers thereof.
71:16I will goe in the strength of the Lord God: I will make mention of thy righteousnesse, euen of thine onely.
71:17O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto haue I declared thy wonderous workes.
71:18Now also when I am old and gray headed, O God, forsake me not: vntill I haue shewed thy strength vnto this generation, and thy power to euery one that is to come.
71:19Thy righteousnes also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like vnto thee?
71:20Thou which hast shewed mee great, and sore troubles, shalt quicken mee againe, and shalt bring mee vp againe from the depthes of the earth.
71:21Thou shalt increase my greatnesse, and comfort me on euery side.
71:22I will also praise thee with the psalterie, euen thy trueth, O my God: vnto thee will I sing with the harpe, O thou Holy one of Israel.
71:23My lippes shall greatly reioyce when I sing vnto thee: and my soule, which thou hast redeemed.
71:24My tongue also shall talke of thy righteousnesse all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought vnto shame, that seeke my hurt.

71:2Rescue mee and deliuer me in thy righteousnes: incline thine eare vnto me and saue me.
71:3Be thou my strong rocke, whereunto I may alway resort: thou hast giuen commandement to saue me: for thou art my rocke, and my fortresse.
71:4Deliuer mee, O my God, out of the hande of the wicked: out of the hande of the euill and cruell man.
71:5For thou art mine hope, O Lord God, euen my trust from my youth.
71:6Vpon thee haue I beene stayed from the wombe: thou art he that tooke me out of my mothers bowels: my praise shalbe alwaies of thee.
71:7I am become as it were a monster vnto many: but thou art my sure trust.
71:8Let my mouth be filled with thy praise, and with thy glory euery day.
71:9Cast mee not off in the time of age: forsake me not when my strength faileth.
71:10For mine enemies speake of mee, and they that lay waite for my soule, take their counsell together,
71:11Saying, God hath forsaken him: pursue and take him, for there is none to deliuer him.
71:12Goe not farre from me, O God: my God, haste thee to helpe me.
71:13Let them be confounded and consumed that are against my soule: let them be couered with reproofe and confusion, that seeke mine hurt.
71:14But I will waite continually, and will praise thee more and more.
71:15My mouth shall daily rehearse thy righteousnesse, and thy saluation: for I knowe not the nomber.
71:16I will goe forwarde in the strength of the Lord God, and will make mention of thy righteousnesse, euen of thine onely.
71:17O God, thou hast taught me from my youth euen vntill nowe: therefore will I tell of thy wonderous workes,
71:18Yea, euen vnto mine olde age and graie head, O God: forsake me not, vntill I haue declared thine arme vnto this generation, and thy power to all them, that shall come.
71:19And thy righteousnes, O God, I wil exalt on high: for thou hast done great thinges: O God, who is like vnto thee!
71:20Which hast shewed me great troubles and aduersities, but thou wilt returne, and reuiue me, and wilt come againe, and take mee vp from the depth of the earth.
71:21Thou wilt increase mine honour, and returne and comfort me.
71:22Therefore will I praise thee for thy faithfulnesse, O God, vpon instrument and viole: vnto thee will I sing vpon the harpe, O Holy one of Israel.
71:23My lippes will reioyce when I sing vnto thee, and my soule, which thou hast deliuered.
71:24My tongue also shall talke of thy righteousnesse daily: for they are confounded and brought vnto shame, that seeke mine hurt.

71:7Oh let my mouth be fylled with thy prayse and honour all the daye longe.
71:8Cast me not awaye in the tyme of age, forsake me not when my strength fayleth me.
71:9For myne enemies speake agaynst me: & they that laye wayte for my soule, take their councell together, sayenge: God hath forsaken hym, persecute hym, and take hym, for there is none to deliuer him.
71:10Go not farre fro me, O God: my God, haste the to helpe me.
71:11Let them be confounded and peryshe, that are agaynst my soule: let them be couered with shame and dyshonoure, that seke to do me euell.
71:12As for me, I wyll paciently abyde all waye, and will prayse the more and more.
71:13My mouth shall daylie speake of thy righteousnesse & saluacion, for I knowe no ende therof.
71:14I will go forth in the strength of the Lord God, & will make mencion of thy righteousnesse onely.
71:15Thou, O God, hast taught me fro my youth vp vntill now, therfore will I tell of thy wonderous worckes.
71:16Forsake me not, O God, in myne olde age, when I am gray headed: vntyll I haue shewed thy strength vnto this generacion, and thy power to all them that are yet for to come.
71:17Thy righteousnes (O God) is very hie, and great thynges are they that thou hast done: O God, who is lyke vnto the?
71:18O what greate troubles and aduersyties hast thou shewed me? and yet didest thou turne and refreshe me: yee, and broughtest me from the depe of the earth
71:19Thou hast brought me to great honour and comforted me on euery syde.
71:20Therfore will I prayse the and thy faythfulnesse, O God, playinge vpon an instrument of musick, vnto the wyll I synge vpon the harpe, O thou holy one of Israell.
71:21My lyppes wylbe fayne, whan I synge vnto the:
71:22and so will my soule whom thou hast deliuered.
71:23My tonge also shall talke of thy ryghteousnesse all the daye longe,
71:24for they are confounded and brought vnto shame, that seke to do me euell.
