Psalms - Chapter: 97

97:1The Lorde is kynge, the earth maye be glad therof: yee the multytude of the Iles maye be glad therof.
97:2Cloudes and darcknesse are rounde aboute hym, ryghteousnesse and iudgment are the habitacyon of his seate.
97:3There shall go a fyre before hym, and burne vp hys enemyes on euery syde.
97:4His lightenynges gaue shyne vnto the worlde, the earth sawe it and was afrayed.
97:5The hilles melted lyke waxe at the presence of the Lorde, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
97:6The heauens haue declared his ryghteousnes, & all the people haue sene hys glory.
97:7Confounded be all they that worshipe carued ymages, and that delyte in vayne goddes: worshipe hym all ye goddes.
97:8Sion heard of it and reioysed: and the daughters of Iuda were glad because of thy iudgementes, O Lorde.
97:9For thou Lorde art hyer then all that are in the earth, thou art exalted farre aboue all goddes.
97:10O ye that loue the Lorde, se that ye hate the thynge whych is euell: the Lorde preserueth the soules of hys saynctes, he shall delyuer them from the hande of the vngodly.
97:11There is spronge vp a lyght for the ryghteous, and a ioyfull gladnesse for soch as be true herted.
97:12Reioyse in the Lorde, ye ryghteous: and geue thanckes for a remembraunce of his holynesse.

 

97:1The seuen and nyntithe salm hath no title. Singe ye a newe song to the Lord; for he hath do merueils. His riyt hond and his hooli arm; hath maad heelthe to hym.
97:2The Lord hath maad knowun his heelthe; in the siyt of hethene men he hath schewid his riytfulnesse.
97:3He bithouyte on his merci; and on his treuthe, to the hous of Israel. Alle the endis of erthe; sien the heelthe of oure God.
97:4Al erthe, make ye hertli ioye to God; synge ye, and make ye ful out ioye, and seie ye salm.
97:5Singe ye to the Lord in an harpe, in harpe and vois of salm;
97:6in trumpis betun out with hamer, and in vois of a trumpe of horn. Hertli synge ye in the siyt of the Lord, the king; the see and the fulnesse therof be moued;
97:7the world, and thei that dwellen therynne.
97:8Flodis schulen make ioie with hond, togidere hillis schulen make ful out ioye, for siyt of the Lord;
97:9for he cometh to deme the erthe. He schal deme the world in riytfulnesse; and puplis in equite.

97:5The hilles melt like wax at the presence of ye LORDE, at the presence of the LORDE of the whole earth.
97:6The very heauens declare his rightuousnes, & all people se his glory.
97:7Cofounded be all they that worshipe ymages, and delite in their Idols: worshipe him all ye goddes.
97:8Sion heareh of it and reioyseth: yee all ye doughters of Iuda are glad because of thy iudgmentes, o LORDE.
97:9For thou LORDE art the most hyest ouer all the earth, thou art exalted farre aboue all goddes.
97:10O ye that loue the LORDE, se that ye hate the thinge which is euell: the LORDE preserueth the soules of his sayntes, he shal delyuer the from the honde of the vngodly.
97:11There is spronge vp a light for the rightuous, and a ioyfull gladnesse for soch as be true herted.
97:12Reioyse therfore in the LORDE, ye rightuous: and geue thankes for a remembraunce of his holynesse.
