Psalms - Chapter: 107

>
107:1O geue thanckes vnto the Lord, for he is gracyous, and his mercy endureth for euer.
107:2Let them geue thanckes whom the Lorde hath redemed, and delyuered from the hande of the enemye.
107:3And gathered them out of the landes, from the East, and from the west, from the North and from the South.
107:4They went a straye in the wildernesse out of the waye, & founde no citie to dwel in.
107:5Hongrie & thirstye: their soule faynted in them.
107:6So they cryed vnto the Lorde in their trouble, and he delyuered them from their distresse.
107:7He led them forth by the ryght waye, that they myght go to the cytie where they dwelt.
107:8O that men wolde therfor prayse the Lorde, for his goodnes, and declare the wonders that he doth for the chyldren of men.
107:9For he satisfyed the emptie soule, and filled the hongrye soule with goodnesse.
107:10Soch as syt in darcknesse & in the shadow of death, beyng fast bound in mysery & yron.
107:11Because they rebelled agaynst the wordes of the Lorde, and lyghtly regarded the councell of the most hyghest,
107:12He also brought downe their hart thorow heuinesse: they fell downe, & there was noue to helpe them.
107:13So whan they cried vnto the Lord in their trouble, he deliuered them out of their distresse
107:14For he brought them out of darcknesse & out of the shadow of death, & brake their bondes in sonder.
107:15O that men wold therfore prayse the Lorde for hys goodnesse: & declare the wonders that he doth for the children of men.
107:16For he hath broken the gates of brasse, and smytten the barres of yron in sonder,
107:17Folysh men are plaged for their offence, & because of their wyckednesse.
107:18Their soule abhorred all maner of meat, and they were euen hard at deathes dore.
107:19So whan they cryed vnto the Lord in their trouble, he delyuered them out of their dystresse.
107:20He sent his word, and healed them, and they were saued from their destruccion.
107:21O that men wold therfore prayse the Lorde for hys goodnesse, and declare the wonders that he doth for the chyldren of men.
107:22That they wold offre vnto hym the sacrifyce of thanckesgeuyng, and tell out hys worckes wt gladnes.
107:23They that go downe to the see in shyppes, and occupie their busynesse in great waters.
107:24These men se the worckes of the Lord, and his wonders in the deape.
107:25For at his word, the stormy wynd ariseth, which lyfteth vp the waues therof.
107:26They are caryed vp to the heauen, and downe agayne to the deape, their soule melteth awaye because of the trouble.
107:27They rele to and fro, and stacker lyke a droncken man, & are at their wittes ende.
107:28So whan they crye vnto the Lord in their trouble, he delyuereth them out of their distresse.
107:29For he maketh the storme to ceasse, so that the waues therof are styll.
107:30Then are they glad because they be at rest, and so he bryngeth them vnto the hauen where they wolde be.
107:31O that men wold therfore prayse the Lorde for hys goodnes, and declare the wondres that he doth for the children of men.
107:32That they wolde exalte him also in the congregacion of the people, and loaue him in the seat of the elders.
107:33Which turneth the floudes into a wildernesse: and dryeth vp the water sprynges.
107:34A frutefull lande maketh he baren, for the wyckednesse of them that dwell therin.
107:35Agayne, he maketh the wildernes a standynge water, and water sprynges of a drye ground.
107:36And there he setteth the hongrie, that they maye buylde them a cytie to dwell in
107:37That they maye sowe their londe, and plante vyneyardes, to yelde them frutes of increase.
107:38He blesseth them, so that they multiplye exceadingly, and suffreth not their catell to decrease.
107:39And agayne: when they are minished and brought lowe thorow oppression, thorow eny plag or trouble.
107:40Though he suffre them to be euell intreated thorowe tyrauntes, and lett them wandre out of the waye in the wildernesse.
107:41Yet helpeth he the poore out of misery, & maketh him housholdes lyke a flocke of shepe.
107:42The ryghteous wyll consydre this, and reioyse, & the mouth of all wyckednesse shall be stopped.
107:43Who so is wyse, wyll pondre these thynges: and they shall vnderstand the louyng kyndnesses of the Lord.

107:10In to Ydume Y schal stretche forth my scho; aliens ben maad frendis to me.
107:11Who schal lede me forth in to a stronge citee; who schal lede me forth til in to Idume?
107:12Whether not thou, God, that hast put vs awei; and, God, schalt thou not go out in oure vertues?
107:13Yyue thou help to vs of tribulacioun; for the heelthe of man is veyn.
107:14We schulen make vertu in God; and he schal bringe oure enemyes to nouyt.

107:1O geue thankes vnto the LORDE, for he is gracious, and his mercy endureth for euer.
107:2Let them geue thakes whom the LORDE hath redemed, & delyuered from the hande of the enemie.

107:4They wente astraye in the wildernesse in an vntroden waye, & founde no cite to dwell in.
107:5Hongrie & thirstie, & their soule faynted in the.
107:6So they cried vnto the LORDE in their trouble, & he delyuered the from their distresse.
107:7He led the forth by ye right waie, yt they might go to ye cite where they dwelt.
107:8O that me wolde prayse the goodnesse of the LORDE, & the wonders that he doth for the childre of me.
107:9For he satisfied the emptie soule, & fylled the hongrie soule wt good.
107:10Soch as sat in darcknesse and in the shadowe of death, beynge fast bounde in misery & yron.
107:11Because they were not obediet to the comaundementes of God, but lightly regarded the councell of the most highest.
107:12Their herte was vexed with labor, they fell downe, & there was none to helpe them.
107:13So they cried vnto the LORDE in their trouble, & he delyuered them out of their distresse.
107:14He brought the out of darcknesse & out of the shadowe of death, & brake their bondes in sonder.
107:15O that men wolde prayse the goodnesse of the LORDE, & the woders that he doth for the childre of men.
107:16For he hath broken the gates of brasse, & smitte the barres of yron in sonder.
107:17Foolish me were plaged for their offence, & because of their wickednesse.
107:18Their soule abhorred all maner of meate, they were eue harde at deathes dore.
107:19So they cried vnto the LORDE in their trouble, & he delyuered the out of their distresse.
107:20He sent his worde & healed the, & saued the from destruccion.
107:21O that men wolde prayse the goodnesse of the LORDE, & the wonders that he doth for the children of men.

107:23They that go downe to the see in shippes, & occupie their busynesse in greate waters.
107:24These men se the workes of the LORDE, & his wonders in the depe.
107:25For at his worde, the stormy wynde aryseth, and lifteth vp the wawes therof.
107:26They are caried vp to the heauen, & downe agayne to the depe, their soule melteth awaye in the trouble.
107:27They rele to and fro, they stacker like a droncken man, and are at their wittes ende.
107:28So they crie vnto the LORDE in their trouble, & he delyuereth the out of their distresse.
107:29He maketh the storme to ceasse, so that the wawes are still.
107:30The are they glad because they be at rest, & so he bryngeth them vnto the hauen where they wolde be.
107:31O that men wolde prayse the goodnes of the LORDE, and the wonders that he doth for the children of men.
107:32That they wolde exalte him in the cogregacion of the people, & loaue him in the seate of the elders.
107:33Which turneth the floudes in to drie londe, and drieth vp the water sprynges.
107:34A frutefull londe maketh he baren, for the wickednesse of them that dwell therin.
107:35Agayne, he maketh the wildernes a stondinge water, and water sprynges of a drye grounde.
107:36There he setteth the hongrie, that they maye buylde them a cite to dwell in.
107:37That they maye sowe their groude, plante vynyaydes, to yelde them frutes of increase.
107:38He blesseth them, so that they multiplie exceadingly, and suffreth not their catell to decrease.
107:39Whe they are minished & brought lowe thorow oppressio, thorow eny plage or trouble.
107:40Though he suffre the to be euell intreated thorow tyrauntes, or let them wandre out of the waye in the wildernesse:
107:41Yet helpeth he the poore out of misery (at the last) and maketh him an housholde like a flocke of shepe.
107:42The rightuous wil cosidre this and reioyse, the mouth of all wickednesse shall be stopped.
107:43Who so is wyse, and pondreth these thinges well, shall vnderstonde the louynge kyndnesses of the LORDE.
