Psalms - Chapter: 111

111:1Prayse the Lorde. I Wyll geue thanckes vnto the Lord with my whole hert: secretly among the faithfull, and in the congregacion.
111:2The worckes of the Lorde are great, sought out of all them that haue pleasure therin.
111:3His worcke is worthy to be praysed & had in honoure, and his ryghteousnesse endureth for euer.
111:4The mercyfull & gracyous Lorde hath so done his maruelous workes, that they ought to be had in remembraunce.
111:5He hath geuen meat vnto them that feare him, he shal euer be mindfull of hys couenaunt.
111:6He hath shewed his people the power of his worckes, that he maye geue them the herytage of the Heathen.
111:7The worckes of his handes are veryte & iudgement, all his commaundmentes are true.
111:8They stand fast for euer and euer, and are done in trueth and equite.
111:9He sent redempcyon vnto his people, he hath commaunded his couenaunt for euer, holy and reuerent is his name.
111:10The feare of the Lorde is the begynning of wisdome, a good vnderstandyng haue all they that do therafter: the prayse of it endureth for euer.

 

111:1The `title of the hundrid and enleuenthe salm. Alleluya. Blissid is the man that dredith the Lord; he schal wilne ful myche in hise comaundementis.
111:2His seed schal be myyti in erthe; the generacioun of riytful men schal be blessid.
111:3Glorie and richessis ben in his hous; and his riytfulnesse dwellith in to the world of world.
111:4Liyt is risun vp in derknessis to riytful men; the Lord is merciful in wille, and a merciful doere, and riytful.
111:5The man is merye, that doith merci, and leeneth; he disposith hise wordis in dom;
111:6for he schal not be moued with outen ende.
111:7A iust man schal be in euerlastinge mynde; he schal not drede of an yuel heryng. His herte is redi for to hope in the Lord;
111:8his herte is confermed, he schal not be moued, til he dispise hise enemyes.
111:9He spredde abrood, he yaf to pore men; his riytwisnesse dwellith in to the world of world; his horn schal be reisid in glorie.
111:10A synner schal se, and schal be wrooth; he schal gnaste with hise teeth, and schal faile; the desijr of synneris schal perische.

111:4The mercifull & gracious LORDE hath so done his marvelous workes, yt they ought to be had in remebrauce.
111:5He geueth meate vnto the yt feare him, he is euer myndfull of his couenaut.
111:6He sheweth his people the power of his workes, that he maye geue them the heretage of the Heithen.
111:7The workes of his hodes are verite & iudgment, all his comaundemetes are true.
111:8They stonde fast for euer & euer, & are done in trueth & equite.
111:9He sent redempcion vnto his people, he hath commaunded his couenaunt for euer, holy & reuerent is his name.
111:10The feare of the LORDE is the begynnynge of wy?dome, a good vnderstondinge haue all they that do therafter: the prayse of it endureth for euer.
