Psalms - Chapter: 115

115:1Not vnto vs (O Lorde) not vnto vs, but vnto thy name geue the prayse, for thy louing mercy, & for thy truthes sake.
115:2Wherfore shall the Heathen saye: where is now their God?
115:3As for oure God, he is in heauen, he hath done whatsoeuer pleased him.
115:4Their ydoles are syluer and gold, euen the worcke of mens handes.
115:5They haue mouth, and speake not: eyes haue they, and se not.
115:6They haue eares, & heare not: noses haue they, and smell not.
115:7They haue handes and handle not: fete haue they, and walke not, nether speake they thorow their throte.
115:8They that make them, are lyke vnto them, and so are all soch as put their trust in them.
115:9But Israel trust thou in the Lord, he his their succoure & defence.
115:10Ye house of Aaron put youre trust in the Lorde: he is their helper, and defender.
115:11Ye that feare the Lorde, put youre trust in the Lord, he is their helper and defender.
115:12The Lorde hath bene myndfull of vs, and he shall blesse vs: euen he shall blesse the house of Israel, he shall blesse the house of Aaron.
115:13He shall blesse them that feare the Lorde, both small and great.
115:14The Lorde shall encrease you more and more: you, & youre children.
115:15Ye are the blessed of the Lord, which made heauen & earth.
115:16All the whole heauens are the Lordes, the earth hath he geuen vnto the children of men.
115:17The deed prayse not the (O Lord) nether all they that go downe in to the sylence.
115:18But we wyll prayse the Lorde, from thys tyme forth for euermore. Prayse the Lorde.

 

115:1I bileuede, for which thing Y spak; forsoth Y was maad low ful myche.
115:2I seide in my passing; Ech man is a lier.
115:3What schal Y yelde to the Lord; for alle thingis which he yeldide to me?
115:4I schal take the cuppe of heelthe; and Y schal inwardli clepe the name of the Lord.
115:5I schal yelde my vowis to the Lord bifor al his puple;
115:6the deth of seyntis of the Lord is precious in his siyt.
115:7O! Lord, for Y am thi seruant; Y am thi seruaunt, and the sone of thi handmaide. Thou hast broke my bondys,
115:8to thee Y schal offre a sacrifice of heriyng; and Y schal inwardli clepe the name of the Lord.
115:9I schal yelde my vowis to the Lord, in the siyt of al his puple;
115:10in the porchis of the hous of the Lord, in the myddil of thee, Jerusalem.

115:4Their ymages are but syluer and golde, euen the worke of mens hodes.
115:5They haue mouthes, and speake not: eyes haue they, but they se not.
115:6They haue eares, and heare not: noses haue they, but they smell not.
115:7They haue handes and handle not, fete haue they, but they can not go, nether can they speake thorow their throte.
115:8They that made them, are like vnto them, and so are all soch as put their trust in them.
115:9But let Israel trust in ye LORDE, for he is their sucoure & defence.
115:10Let the house of Aaron put their trust in ye LORDE, for he is their sucoure & defence.
115:11They that feare the LORDE, let the put their trust in the LORDE, for he is their sucoure and defence.
115:12The LORDE is myndefull of vs, & blesseth vs: he blesseth ye house of Israel, he blesseth ye house of Aaron.
115:13Yee he blesseth all them that feare the LORDE, both small & greate.
115:14The LORDE encrease you more & more: you, and youre childre.
115:15For ye are ye blessed of the LORDE, which made heauen & earth.
115:16All the whole heauens are the LORDES, but the earth hath he geue vnto ye childre of men.
115:17The deed prayse not the (o LORDE) nether all they that go downe in to sylence.
115:18But we will prayse the LORDE, from this tyme forth for euermore. Halleluya.
