120:1[A song of degrees.] In my distresse I cried vnto the Lord: and hee heard me.
120:2Deliuer my soule, O Lord, from lying lips: and from a deceitfull tongue.
120:3What shall be giuen vnto thee? or what shalbe done vnto thee, thou false tongue?
120:4Sharpe arrowes of the mightie: with coales of iuniper.
120:5Woe is me, that I soiourne in Mesech: that I dwell in the tents of Kedar.
120:6My soule hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.
120:7I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for warre.

 

120:1When I was in trouble I called vpon God: and he hearde me
120:2Deliuer my soule O God from false lyppes: & from a deceiptful tongue
120:3What doth a deceiptfull tongue vnto thee? what good bryngeth it thee
120:4So much as sharpe arrowes of a strong man in thy sydes: with Iuniper coales [powred on thy head.
120:5Wo be vnto me that am constrayned to be conuersaunt in Mesech: and to dwell among the tentes of Cedar
120:6My soule hath dwelt long: with hym that hateth peace
120:7I am a man of peace: but because I do speake therof, they prepare them selues to battayle

120:3What doeth thy deceitfull tongue bring vnto thee? or what doeth it auaile thee?
120:4It is as the sharpe arrowes of a mightie man, and as the coales of iuniper.
120:5Woe is to me that I remaine in Meschech, and dwell in the tentes of Kedar.
120:6My soule hath too long dwelt with him that hateth peace.
120:7I seeke peace, and when I speake thereof, they are bent to warre.
