Proverbs - Chapter: 2

>
2:1My sonne, yf thou wilt receaue my wordes, and kepe my commaundementes by the,
2:2that thou wylt enclyne thyne eare vnto wysdome, applye thyne hert then to vnderstandynge.
2:3For yf thou cryest after wisdome, and callest for knowledge:
2:4yf thou sekest after her as after money, and dyggest for her as for treasure,
2:5then shalt thou vnderstande the feare of the Lorde, and fynde the knowledge of God.
2:6For it is the Lorde that geueth wisdome, out of his mouth commeth knowledge and vnderstandynge.
2:7He hydeth vp healthe for the ryghteous. He preserueth the welfare of the ryghteous, and defendeth them that walke syncerely:
2:8he kepeth them in the ryght pathe, and preserueth the waye of soche as serue hym with godlynesse.
2:9Then shalt thou vnderstande ryghteousnesse, iudment, and equyte: yee, and euery good path.
2:10Yf wysdome entre into thyne herte, and thy soule delyte in knowledge:
2:11then shall councell preserue the, and vnderstandynge shall kepe the.
2:12That thou mayest be delyuered from the euell waye, and from the man that speaketh frowarde thinges.
2:13From soche as leaue the hye strete, & walke in the wayes of darckenesse:
2:14which reioyse in doynge euell: and delyte in wycked thynges:
2:15whose wayes are croked, and they frowarde in thyr pathes.
2:16That thou mayest be deliuered also from the straunge woman, and from her that is not thyne awne: which geueth swete wordes,
2:17forsaketh the husbande of her youth, & forgetteth the conuenaunt of her God.
2:18For her house is enclyned vnto death, & her pathes vnto hell.
2:19All they that go in vnto her come not agayn, nether take they holde of the waye of lyfe.
2:20Therfore, walke thou in the waye of soch as be verteous, and kepe the pathes of the ryghteous.
2:21For the iust shall dwell in the lande: and they that be perfecte shall remayne in it:
2:22but the vngodly shalbe roted out of the lande: and the wycked doers shalbe roted out of it.

2:1Mi sone, if thou resseyuest my wordis, `and hidist myn heestis anentis thee;
2:2that thin eere here wisdom, bowe thin herte to knowe prudence.
2:3For if thou inwardli clepist wisdom, and bowist thin herte to prudence;
2:4if thou sekist it as money, and diggist it out as tresours;
2:5thanne thou schalt vndirstonde the drede of the Lord, and schalt fynde the kunnyng of God.
2:6For the Lord yyueth wisdom; and prudence and kunnyng is of his mouth.
2:7He schal kepe the heelthe of riytful men, and he schal defende hem that goen sympli.
2:8And he schal kepe the pathis of riytfulnesse, and he schal kepe the weies of hooli men.
2:9Thanne thou schalt vndirstonde riytfulnesse, and dom, and equytee, and ech good path.
2:10If wysdom entrith in to thin herte, and kunnyng plesith thi soule,
2:11good councel schal kepe thee, and prudence schal kepe thee; that thou be delyuered fro an yuel weie,
2:12and fro a man that spekith weiward thingis.
2:13Whiche forsaken a riytful weie, and goen bi derk weies;
2:14whiche ben glad, whanne thei han do yuel, and maken ful out ioye in worste thingis;
2:15whose weies ben weywerd, and her goyingis ben of yuel fame.
2:16That thou be delyuered fro an alien womman, and fro a straunge womman, that makith soft hir wordis;
2:17and forsakith the duyk of hir tyme of mariage,
2:18and hath foryete the couenaunt of hir God. For the hous of hir is bowid to deeth, and hir pathis to helle.
2:19Alle that entren to hir, schulen not turne ayen, nether schulen catche the pathis of lijf.
2:20That thou go in a good weie, and kepe the pathis of iust men.
2:21Forsothe thei that ben riytful, schulen dwelle in the lond; and symple men schulen perfitli dwelle ther ynne.
2:22But vnfeithful men schulen be lost fro the loond; and thei that doen wickidli, schulen be takun awey fro it.

2:1My sonne, yf thou wilt receaue my wordes, and kepe my comaundemetes by the,
2:2that thine eare maye herken vnto wysdome, applie thine herte then to vnderstodinge.
2:3For yf thou criest after wy?dome, & callest for knowlege:
2:4yf thou sekest after her as after money, and dyggest for her as for treasure:
2:5The shalt thou vnderstonde ye feare of the LORDE, and fynde ye knowlege of God.
2:6For it is the LORDE that geueth wy?dome, out of his mouth commeth knowlege and vnderstondinge.
2:7He preserueth ye welfare of the rightuous, and defendeth them yt walke innocently:
2:8he kepeth them in ye right path, and preserueth ye waye of his sayntes.
2:9Then shalt thou vnderstonde rightuousnesse, iudgment and equite, yee and euery good path.
2:10Yf wy?dome entre in to thine herte, and yi soule delyte in knowlege:
2:11then shal councell preserue the, and vnderstondinge shal kepe the.
2:12That thou mayest be delyuered fro ye euell waye, and from the man yt speaketh frowarde thinges.
2:13From soch as leaue the hye strete, and walke i ye wayes of darcknesse:
2:14which reioyse in doynge euell, and delyte i wicked thinges:
2:15whose wayes are croked, and their pathes slaunderous.
2:16That thou mayest be delyuered also from the straunge woman, and from her that is not thine owne: which geueth swete wordes,
2:17forsaketh the hu?bande of hir youth, and forgetteth the couenaunt of hir God.
2:18For hir house is enclyned vnto death, and hir pathes vnto hell.
2:19All they that go in vnto her, come not agayne, nether take they holde of the waye of life.
2:20That thou mayest walke in ye good waye, and kepe the pathes of the rightuous.
2:21For the iust shal dwell in the londe, and the innocentes shal remayne in it:
2:22but the vngodly shalbe roted out of ye londe, and the wicked doers shalbe taken out of it.
