Proverbs - Chapter: 14

>
14:1Euery wise woman buildeth her house; but the foolish plucketh it downe with her hands.
14:2He that walketh in his vprightnesse, feareth the Lord: but he that is peruerse in his wayes, despiseth him.
14:3In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lippes of the wise shall preserue them.
14:4Where no Oxen are, the crib is cleane: but much increase is by the strength of the Oxe.
14:5A faithfull witnesse will not lye: but a false witnesse will vtter lyes.
14:6A scorner seeketh wisedome, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easie vnto him that vnderstandeth.
14:7Goe from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceiuest not in him the lippes of knowledge.
14:8The wisedome of the prudent is to vnderstand his way: but the folly of fooles is deceit.
14:9Fooles make a mocke at sinne: but among the righteous there is fauour.
14:10The heart knoweth his owne bitternesse; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his ioy.
14:11The house of the wicked shall bee ouerthrowen: but the tabernacle of the vpright shall flourish.
14:12There is a way which seemeth right vnto a man: but the end thereof are the wayes of death.
14:13Euen in laughter the heart is sorrowfull; and the end of that mirth is heauinesse.
14:14The backslider in heart shall be filled with his owne wayes: and a good man shall be satisfied from himselfe.
14:15The simple beleeueth euery word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
14:16A wise man feareth, and departeth from euill: but the foole rageth, and is confident.
14:17Hee that is soone angry, dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked deuices is hated.
14:18The simple inherite folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
14:19The euill bowe before the good: and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
14:20The poore is hated euen of his owne neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.
14:21He that despiseth his neighbour, sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poore, happy is he.
14:22Doe they not erre that deuise euil? But mercy and trueth shall be to them that deuise good.
14:23In all labour there is profit: but the talke of the lippes tendeth onely to penury.
14:24The crowne of the wise is their riches: but the foolishnesse of fooles is folly.
14:25A true witnesse deliuereth soules: but a deceitfull witnesse speaketh lyes.
14:26In the feare of the Lord is strong confidence: and his children shall haue a place of refuge.
14:27The feare of the Lord, is a fountaine of life, to depart from the snares of death.
14:28In the multitude of people is the kings honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.
14:29Hee that is slow to wrath, is of great vnderstanding: but hee that is hasty of spirit, exalteth folly.
14:30A sound heart, is the life of the flesh: but enuie, the rottennesse of the bones.
14:31Hee that oppresseth the poore, reprocheth his Maker: but hee that honoureth him, hath mercy on the poore.
14:32The wicked is driuen away in his wickednes: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
14:33Wisedome resteth in the heart of him that hath vnderstanding: but that which is in the midst of fooles, is made knowen.
14:34Righteousnes exalteth a nation: but sinne is a reproch to any people.
14:35The Kings fauour is toward a wise seruant: but his wrath, is against him that causeth shame.

14:7Depart from the foolish man, when thou perceiuest not in him the lippes of knowledge.
14:8The wisdome of ye prudent is to vnderstand his way: but the foolishnes of the fooles is deceite.
14:9The foole maketh a mocke of sinne: but among the righteous there is fauour.
14:10The heart knoweth the bitternes of his soule, and the stranger shall not medle with his ioy.
14:11The house of the wicked shalbe destroyed: but the tabernacle of the righteous shall florish.
14:12There is a way that seemeth right to a man: but the issues thereof are the wayes of death.
14:13Euen in laughing the heart is sorowful, and the ende of that mirth is heauinesse.
14:14The heart that declineth, shall be saciate with his owne wayes: but a good man shall depart from him.
14:15The foolish will beleeue euery thing: but the prudent will consider his steppes.
14:16A wise man feareth, and departeth from euill: but a foole rageth, and is carelesse.
14:17He that is hastie to anger, committeth follie, and a busie body is hated.
14:18The foolish do inherite follie: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
14:19The euill shall bowe before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
14:20The poore is hated euen of his own neighbour: but the friendes of the rich are many.
14:21The sinner despiseth his neighbour: but he that hath mercie on the poore, is blessed.
14:22Doe not they erre that imagine euill? but to them that thinke on good things, shalbe mercie and trueth.
14:23In all labour there is abundance: but the talke of the lippes bringeth onely want.
14:24The crowne of the wise is their riches, and the follie of fooles is foolishnes.
14:25A faithfull witnes deliuereth soules: but a deceiuer speaketh lyes.
14:26In the feare of the Lord is an assured strength, and his children shall haue hope.
14:27The feare of the Lord is as a welspring of life, to auoyde the snares of death.
14:28In the multitude of the people is the honour of a King, and for the want of people commeth the destruction of the Prince.
14:29He that is slowe to wrath, is of great wisdome: but he that is of an hastie minde, exalteth follie.
14:30A sounde heart is the life of the flesh: but enuie is the rotting of the bones.
14:31He that oppresseth the poore, reprooueth him that made him: but hee honoureth him, that hath mercie on the poore.
14:32The wicked shall be cast away for his malice: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
14:33Wisedome resteth in the heart of him that hath vnderstanding, and is knowen in the mids of fooles.
14:34Iustice exalteth a nation, but sinne is a shame to the people.
14:35The pleasure of a King is in a wise seruant: but his wrath shalbe toward him that is lewde.

 

14:1Wyse women vpholde theyr house, but a folysh wyfe plucketh it downe.
14:2He that walketh in the ryght path of the Lorde feareth him: but he that turneth him selfe awaye from his wayes, dispyseth hym.
14:3In the mouth of the foolysh is the rodd of pryde, but the lyppes of the wyse wyll preserue them.
14:4Where no oxen are, there the crybbe is emptye: but where the oxen laboure there is moche frute.
14:5A faythfull wytnesse wyll not dissemble, but a false recorde wyll make a lye.
14:6A scornefull body seketh wysdome, and fyndeth it not: but knowledge is easy to come by, vnto hym that wyll vnderstande.
14:7Se that thou medle not with a foole, in whom thou perceauest to be no knowledge.
14:8The wysdome of hym that hath vnderstanding is, to take hede vnto his waye but the folyshnesse of the vnwyse disceaueth.
14:9Foles make but a sporte of synne, but there is fauorable loue amonge the ryghteous.
14:10The herte feleth hys owne lyues bytternesse: nether shall straunger be partaker of his ioye.
14:11The house of the vngodly shalbe ouerthrowne, but the tabernacle of the ryghteous shall floryshe.
14:12There is awaye which some men thynke to be ryght, but the ende therof leadeth vnto death.
14:13The herte is sorowefull euen in laughter, and the ende of myrth is heuynes.
14:14A backslydynge hert shalbe fylled wt his awne wayes, but a good man shall lyue of his frutes.
14:15An ignoraunt body beleueth all thinges: but who so hath vnderstandinge, loketh well to his goinges.
14:16A wyse man feareth, and departeth from euell, but a furiouse foole goeth on presumpteously:
14:17An vnpacyent man dealeth folyshly: but he that is well aduysed, is hated of the fole.
14:18The ignoraunt haue folyshnes in possessyon, but the wyse are crowned with knowledge.
14:19The euell shall bowe them selues before the good, and the vngodly shall wayte at the dores of the ryghteous.
14:20The poore is hated euen of hys awne neyghboures, but the ryche hath many frendes.
14:21Whoso despyseth his neyghbour doth a misse: but blessed is he the hath pytie of the poore.
14:22Without doute they erre that ymagyne wyckednes, but they that muse vpon good thynges, vnto soche shall happen mercy and faythfulnesse
14:23In euery laboure there is some profecte. But only lippe laboure, bringeth forth penurye.
14:24Ryches are as a crowne vnto the wyse, but the ignoraunce of fooles is very folyshnesse.
14:25A faythfull witnesse delyuereth soules, but a disceytfull wytnesse bryngeth forth lyes.
14:26The feare of the Lorde is a stronge holde, and hys chyldren are vnder a sure defence.
14:27The feare of the Lorde is a well of lyfe, to auoyde the snares of death.
14:28The increase and prosperite of the comens is the kynges honoure, but the decaye of the people is the confusyon of the Prynce.
14:29He that is pacient, hath muche vnderstandyng: but he that is soone displeased, prouoketh folyshnesse.
14:30A mery herte is the lyfe of the body, but rancoure consumeth awaye the bones.
14:31He that doth a poore man wrong, blasphemeth his maker: but whoso hath pytie of the poore, doth honoure vnto God.
14:32The vngodly is cast awaye for hys iniquitye, but the ryghteous hath a good hope euen in death.
14:33Wysdome resteth in the herte of hym that hath vnderstandyng and it shalbe knowen amonge them that are vnlerned.
14:34Ryghteousnesse setteth vp the people, but the sacrifyce of the hethen is synfull.
14:35A discrete seruaunt is a pleasure vnto the kynge, but one that is not honest prouoketh hym vnto wrath.
