Proverbs - Chapter: 15

>
15:1A soft answere turneth away wrath: but grieuous words stirre vp anger.
15:2The tongue of the wise, vseth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fooles, powreth out foolishnes.
15:3The eyes of the Lord are in euery place, beholding the euill & the good.
15:4A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but peruersnesse therein is a breach in the spirit.
15:5A foole despiseth his fathers instruction: but hee that regardeth reproofe, is prudent.
15:6In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the reuenues of the wicked is trouble.
15:7The lippes of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish, doeth not so.
15:8The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord: but the prayer of the vpright is his delight.
15:9The way of the wicked is an abomination vnto the Lord: but he loueth him that followeth after righteousnes.
15:10Correction is grieuous vnto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproofe, shall die.
15:11Hell and destruction are before the Lord: how much more then, the hearts of the children of men?
15:12A scorner loueth not one that reproueth him: neither will he goe vnto the wise.
15:13A merry heart maketh a cheerefull countenance: but by sorrow of the heart, the spirit is broken.
15:14The heart of him that hath vnderstanding, seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fooles feedeth on foolishnesse.
15:15All the dayes of the afflicted are euill: but he that is of a merry heart, hath a continuall feast.
15:16Better is little with the feare of the Lord, then great treasure, and trouble therewith.
15:17Better is a dinner of herbes where loue is, then a stalled oxe, and hatred therewith.
15:18A wrathfull man stirreth vp strife: but he that is slow to anger, appeaseth strife.
15:19The way of the slouthfull man is as an hedge of thornes: but the way of the righteous is made plaine.
15:20A wise sonne maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.
15:21Folly is ioy to him that is destitute of wisedome: but a man of vnderstanding walketh vprightly.
15:22Without counsell, purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellours they are established.
15:23A man hath ioy by the answere of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it?
15:24The way of life is aboue to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.
15:25The Lord will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.
15:26The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the Lord: but the wordes of the pure, are pleasant words.
15:27Hee that is greedy of gaine, troubleth his owne house: but he that hateth gifts, shall liue.
15:28The heart of the righteous studieth to answere: but the mouth of the wicked, powreth out euil things.
15:29The Lord is farre from the wicked: but hee heareth the prayer of the righteous.
15:30The light of the eyes reioyceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat.
15:31The eare that heareth the reproofe of life, abideth among the wise.
15:32He that refuseth instruction, despiseth his owne soule: but he that heareth reproofe, getteth vnderstanding.
15:33The feare of the Lord is the instruction of wisedome; and before honour is humilitie.

15:6The house of the righteous hath much treasure: but in the reuenues of the wicked is trouble.
15:7The lippes of the wise doe spread abroade knowledge: but ye heart of the foolish doth not so.
15:8The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination to the Lord: but the prayer of the righteous is acceptable vnto him.
15:9The way of the wicked is an abomination vnto the Lord: but he loueth him that followeth righteousnes.
15:10Instruction is euill to him that forsaketh the way, and he that hateth correction, shall die.
15:11Hell and destruction are before the Lord: how much more the hearts of the sonnes of men?
15:12A scorner loueth not him that rebuketh him, neither will he goe vnto the wise.
15:13A ioyfull heart maketh a chearefull countenance: but by the sorow of the heart the minde is heauie.
15:14The heart of him that hath vnderstanding, seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of the foole is fedde with foolishnes.
15:15All the dayes of the afflicted are euill: but a good conscience is a continuall feast.
15:16Better is a litle with the feare of the Lord, then great treasure, and trouble therewith.
15:17Better is a dinner of greene herbes where loue is, then a stalled oxe and hatred therewith.
15:18An angrie man stirreth vp strife: but hee that is slowe to wrath, appeaseth strife.
15:19The way of a slouthfull man is as an hedge of thornes: but the way of the righteous is plaine.
15:20A wise sonne reioyceth the father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.
15:21Foolishnes is ioy to him that is destitute of vnderstanding: but a man of vnderstanding walketh vprightly.
15:22Without cousel thoughts come to nought: but in the multitude of counsellers there is stedfastnesse.
15:23A ioy commeth to a man by the answere of his mouth: and how good is a word in due season?
15:24The way of life is on high to the prudent, to auoyde from hell beneath.
15:25The Lord will destroye the house of the proude men: but hee will stablish the borders of the widowe.
15:26The thoughts of ye wicked are abomination to the Lord: but the pure haue pleasant wordes.
15:27He that is greedie of gaine, troubleth his owne house: but he that hateth giftes, shall liue.
15:28The heart of the righteous studieth to answere: but the wicked mans mouth babbleth euil thinges.
15:29The Lord is farre off from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
15:30The light of the eyes reioyceth the heart, and a good name maketh the bones fat.
15:31The eare that hearkeneth to the correction of life, shall lodge among the wise.
15:32Hee that refuseth instruction, despiseth his owne soule: but he that obeyeth correction, getteth vnderstanding.
15:33The feare of the Lord is the instruction of wisdome: and before honour, goeth humilitie.

15:2The tonge of suche as be wyse, vseth knowledge a right, as for a folysh mouth it blabbeth out nothyng, but folyshnesse.
15:3The eyes of the Lord loke on euery place, beholdyng both the good & badd
15:4A wholsome tonge is a tree of lyfe, but he that abuseth it, hath a broken mynde.
15:5A foole despyseth hys fathers correccyon, but he that taketh hede whan he is reproued shall haue the more vnderstandinge.
15:6The house of the ryghteous is full of ryches, but the increase of the vngodly are nye destruccion.
15:7A wyse mouth poureth oute knowledge but the herte of the folysh doth not so.
15:8The Lord abhorreth the sacrifyce of the vngodly, but the prayer of the ryghteous is acceptable vnto hym.
15:9The waye of the vngodly is an abhominacyon vnto the Lord: but whoso foloweth ryghteousnesse, hym he loueth.
15:10He that forsaketh the ryght strete, shalbe sore punyshed: and who so hateth correccyon, shall dye.
15:11The hell with her payne is knowen vnto the Lorde, howe moche more then the hertes of men?
15:12A scornefull body loueth not one that rebuketh hym nether will he come vnto the wyse.
15:13A mery herte maketh a chearfull countenaunce, but an heuy herte compelleth a man to syght.
15:14The hert of hym that hath vnderstandyng, doth seke after knowledge, but the mouth of fooles is fedd with foolyshnesse.
15:15All the dayes of the poore are myserable, but a quyete hert is as a continual feast.
15:16Better is a lytle with the feare of the Lorde, then greate treasure with sorowe.
15:17Better is a measse of potage with loue, then a fat oxe with euell will.
15:18An angrye man stereth vp stryfe, but he that is pacient, stylleth discorde.
15:19The waye of a slouthfull man, is as it were hedged with thornes, but the strete of the ryghteous is well clensed.
15:20A wyse sonne maketh a glad father, but an vndiscrete body shameth his mother.
15:21A foole reioyseth in foolyshe thinges, but a wyse man loketh well to his awne goynges.
15:22Unaduysed thoughtes shall come to naught, but where as men are that canne geue councell, there is stedfastnesse.
15:23A ioyfull thynge is it, to a man when his counsell is folowed: and very pleasunt is a worde spoken in due season.
15:24The waye of lyfe leadeth vnto heauen, that a man shulde beware of hell beneth.
15:25The Lorde will breake downe the house of the proude, but he shall make fast the borders of the widdowe.
15:26The Lorde abhorreth the ymaginacyons of the wycked, but pure wordes of innocentes are pleasaunt vnto hym.
15:27The couetous man roteth vp hys awne house, but who so hateth rewardes, shall lyue.
15:28The herte of the ryghtuouse studieth his answere afore. but the wycked mans mouthe spueth out myschefe.
15:29The Lorde is farre from the vngodly, but he heareth the prayer of the ryghteous.
15:30Lyke as the clearnesse of the eyes reioyseth the herte, so doth a good name fede the bones.
15:31The eare that harkeneth to the refourmacyon of lyfe, shall dwell amonge the wyse.
15:32He that refuseth to be refourmed, despyseth hys awne soule: but he that submytteth hym selfe to correccyon, is wyse.
15:33The feare of the Lorde is the ryght science of wysdome, and lowlynes goeth before honoure.
