Proverbs - Chapter: 19

>
19:1Better is the poore that walketh in his integrity, then he that is peruerse in his lippes, and is a foole.
19:2Also, that the soule be without knowledge, it is not good, and hee that hasteth with his feete, sinneth.
19:3The foolishnesse of man peruerteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the Lord.
19:4Wealth maketh many friends: but the poore is separated from his neighbour.
19:5A false witnesse shall not be vnpunished: and he that speaketh lyes, shal not escape.
19:6Many will entreate the fauour of the Prince: and euery man is a friend to him that giueth gifts.
19:7All the brethren of the poore doe hate him: howe much more doe his friends goe farre from him? Hee pursueth them with words, yet they are wanting to him.
19:8He that getteth wisedome loueth his owne soule: he that keepeth vnderstanding shall find good.
19:9A false witnesse shall not be vnpunished, and hee that speaketh lyes, shall perish.
19:10Delight is not seemely for a foole: much lesse for a seruant to haue rule ouer princes.
19:11The discretion of a man deferreth his anger: and it is his glory to passe ouer a transgression.
19:12The kings wrath is as the roaring of a lyon: but his fauour is as dewe vpon the grasse.
19:13A foolish sonne is the calamity of his father; and the contentions of a wife are a continuall dropping.
19:14House and riches, are the inheritance of fathers; and a prudent wife is from the Lord.
19:15Slouthfulnesse casteth into a deep sleepe: and an idle soule shall suffer hunger.
19:16He that keepeth the commandement, keepeth his owne soule: but hee that despiseth his wayes, shall die.
19:17Hee that hath pity vpon the poore, lendeth vnto the Lord; and that which he hath giuen, will he pay him againe.
19:18Chasten thy sonne while there is hope; and let not thy soule spare for his crying.
19:19A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliuer him, yet thou must doe it againe.
19:20Heare counsell, and receiue instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.
19:21There are many deuices in a mans heart: neuerthelesse the counsell of the Lord, that shall stand.
19:22The desire of a man is his kindnesse: and a poore man is better then a lyar.
19:23The feare of the Lord tendeth to life, and he that hath it shall abide satisfied: he shall not be visited with euill.
19:24A slouthfull man hideth his hand in his bosome, and wil not so much as bring it to his mouth againe.
19:25Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware; and reprooue one that hath vnderstanding, and he will vnderstand knowledge.
19:26He that wasteth his father, and chaseth away his mother, is a sonne that causeth shame, and bringeth reproch.
19:27Cease, my sonne, to heare the instruction, that causeth to erre from the words of knowledge.
19:28An vngodly witnesse scorneth iudgement: and the mouth of the wicked deuoureth iniquitie.
19:29Iudgements are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the backe of fooles.

19:2The desire without discretion is not good: but as a man whiche hasteth with his feete offendeth
19:3The foolishnesse of man paruerteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the Lorde

19:5A false witnesse shall not be vnpunished: and he that speaketh lyes shall not escape
19:6The multitude hangeth vpon great men: and euery man fauoureth hym that geueth rewardes
19:7All the brethren of the poore do hate hym, yea his owne frendes withdrawe them selues from hym: and he that geueth credence to wordes, getteth nothing
19:8He that is wise loueth his owne soule, and kepeth vnderstanding, that he may prosper
19:9A false witnesse shall not be vnpunished: and he that speaketh lyes shall perishe
19:10Pleasure is not seemely for a foole: muche lesse for a bondman to haue rule of princes
19:11A wyse man can put of displeasure, and it is his honour to let some faultes passe
19:12The kynges displeasure is lyke the roaryng of a Lion: but his fauour is lyke the deawe vpon the grasse
19:13An vndiscrete sonne is the heauinesse of his father, and a brawlyng wyfe is like the toppe of an house wherthrough it is euer dropping
19:14House and riches may a man haue by the heritage of his elders: but a discrete woman is the gyft of the Lorde
19:15Slouthfulnesse bryngeth sleepe, and a soule accustomed with craft, shall suffer hunger
19:16Who so kepeth the commaundement, kepeth his owne soule: but he that regardeth not his wayes, shall dye
19:17He that hath pitie vpon the poore, lendeth vnto the Lord: and looke what he layeth out, it shalbe payde hym agayne
19:18Chasten thy sonne whyle there is hope: and let not thy soule spare for his crying
19:19A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: and though thou once deliuer hym, thou must do it agayne
19:20O geue eare vnto good counsayle, and be content to be refourmed, that thou mayest be wyse in the latter dayes
19:21There are many deuises in a mans heart: neuerthelesse, the counsayle of the Lorde shall stande
19:22It is a mans worship to do good: and a poore man is better then a lyer
19:23The feare of the Lord bringeth a man to lyfe: and he shall rest the whole night in plenteousnesse without visitation of any plague
19:24A slouthfull man shutteth his hande into his bosome, and wyll not take payne to put it to his mouth
19:25If thou smytest a scornefull person, the ignoraunt shall take better heede: and if thou reprouest one that hath vnderstanding, he wyll be the wyser
19:26He that hurteth his father, or shutteth out his mother, is a shamefull and an vnworthy sonne
19:27My sonne heare no more the doctrine that leadeth thee vnto errours from the wordes of vnderstanding
19:28A wicked witnesse mocketh iudgement: and the mouth of the vngodly deuoureth wickednesse
19:29Iudgementes are ordeyned for the scornefull, and stripes for fooles backes

19:10Pleasure is not comely for a foole, much lesse for a seruant to haue rule ouer princes.

19:20Heare counsell and receiue instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter ende.
19:21Many deuises are in a mans heart: but the counsell of the Lord shall stand.
19:22That that is to be desired of a man, is his goodnes, and a poore man is better then a lyer.
19:23The feare of the Lord leadeth to life: and he that is filled therewith, shall continue, and shall not be visited with euill.
19:24The slouthfull hideth his hand in his bosome, and wil not put it to his mouth againe.
19:25Smite a scorner, and the foolish wil beware: and reproue the prudent, and he wil vnderstand knowledge.
19:26He that destroyeth his father, or chaseth away his mother, is a lewde and shamefull childe.
19:27My sonne, heare no more the instruction, that causeth to erre from ye words of knowledge.
19:28A wicked witnes mocketh at iudgement, and the mouth of ye wicked swalloweth vp iniquitie.
19:29But iudgements are prepared for the scorners, and stripes for the backe of the fooles.
