| 16:1 | Send ye the lambe to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wildernesse, vnto the mount of the daughter of Zion. |
| 16:2 | For it shalbe that as a wandering bird cast out of the nest: so the daughters of Moab shalbe at the fordes of Arnon. |
| 16:3 | Take counsell, execute Iudgement, make thy shadow as the night in the middest of the nooneday, hide the outcastes, bewray not him that wandereth. |
| 16:4 | Let mine outcasts dwel with thee, Moab, be thou a couert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressours are consumed out of the land. |
| 16:5 | And in mercy shall the throne be established, and hee shal sit vpon it in trueth, in the tabernacle of Dauid, iudging and seeking iudgement, and hasting righteousnesse. |
| 16:6 | We haue heard of the pride of Moab (hee is very proud) euen of his hautines, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so. |
| 16:7 | Therefore shall Moab howle for Moab, euery one shal howle: for the foundations of Kir-hareseth shall yee mourne, surely they are stricken. |
| 16:8 | For the fieldes of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah, the lords of the heathen haue broken downe the principall plants thereof, they are come euen vnto Iazer, they wandred through the wildernesse, her branches are stretched out, they are gone ouer the sea. |
| 16:9 | Therefore I wil bewaile with the weeping of Iazer, the Uine of Sibmah I wil water thee with my teares, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy Summer fruits, and for thy haruest, is fallen. |
| 16:10 | And gladnesse is taken away, and ioy out of the plentifull field, and in the Uineyards there shalbe no singing, neither shal there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I haue made their vintage shouting to cease. |
| 16:11 | Wherefore my bowels shal sound like an harpe for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kir-haresh. |
| 16:12 | And it shal come to passe, when it is seene that Moab is weary on the high place, that hee shall come to his Sanctuary to pray: but hee shall not preuaile. |
| 16:13 | This is the word that the Lord hath spoken concerning Moab since that time. |
| 16:14 | But now the Lord hath spoken, saying, Within three yeeres, as the yeeres of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shalbe contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble. |

| 16:4 | Let my banished dwell with thee: Moab be thou their couert from the face of the destroyer: for the extortioner shall ende: the destroyer shalbe consumed, and the oppressour shall cease out of the land. |
| 16:5 | And in mercy shall the throne be prepared, and hee shall sit vpon it in stedfastnesse, in the tabernacle of Dauid, iudging, and seeking iudgement, and hasting iustice. |
| 16:6 | We haue heard of the pride of Moab, (he is very proud) euen his pride, and his arrogancie, and his indignation, but his lies shall not be so. |
| 16:7 | Therefore shall Moab howle vnto Moab: euery one shall howle: for the foundations of Kirhareseth shall ye mourne, yet they shalbe striken. |
| 16:8 | For ye vineyards of Heshbon are cut downe, and the vine of Sibmah: the lordes of the heathen haue broken the principal vines thereof: they are come vnto Iaazer: they wandred in the wildernesse: her goodly branches stretched out them selues, and went ouer the sea. |
| 16:9 | Therefore will I weepe with the weeping of Iaazer, and of the vine of Sibmah, O Heshbon: and Elealeh, I will make thee drunke with my teares, because vpon thy sommer fruits, and vpon thy haruest a showting is fallen. |
| 16:10 | And gladnes is taken away, and ioy out of the plentifull fielde: and in the vineyardes shall be no singing nor shouting for ioy: the treader shall not tread wine in the wine presses: I haue caused the reioycing to cease. |
| 16:11 | Wherefore, my bowels shall sounde like an harpe for Moab, and mine inwarde partes for Ker-haresh. |
| 16:12 | And when it shall appeare that Moab shall be wearie of his hie places, then shall hee come to his temple to praie, but he shall not preuaile. |
| 16:13 | This is the word that the Lord hath spoken against Moab since that time. |
| 16:14 | And nowe the Lord hath spoken, saying, In three yeres, as the yeeres of a hireling, and the glorie of Moab shall be contemned in all the great multitude, and the remnant shalbe very small and feeble. |

| 16:4 | let my persecuted people dwell amonge you Moab, be thou their refuge against the destroyer: for the aduersary is brought to naught, the robber is vndone, the tyraunt is waysted out of the land. |
| 16:5 | And in mercy shall the seate be prepared, and he shal syt vpon it in the trueth, in the tabernacle of Dauid iudgyng and sekyng iudgement, & making hast vnto ryghteousnes. |
| 16:6 | We haue heard of the pryde of Moab, he is very proude, presumpteous, arrogant, and full of indignacyon, & vayne are hys lyes. |
| 16:7 | Therfore shal Moab make lamentacion because of the Moabites (that shalbe slayne) yee they shal wayle all together. Because of the foundacyons of the citye that is made of brick, shal ye complayne: euen ye lame people that are left onely behinde. |
| 16:8 | For the vynes of Hesbon are cut downe: As for the vyne of Sibma, the Lordes of the Heithen haue broken downe hyr principall braunches: they are come euen vnto Iazer, they went on wandering vnto the wildernesse. Hyr goodly braunches were throwen downe, as they went ouer the see. |
| 16:9 | Therfore will I mourne for Iazer, & for the vyne of Sibma. I will poure my teares vpon the, O Hesbon and Eleale, for the crie of thyne enemyes is fallen vpon thy sommer frutes, and vpon thyne haruest. |
| 16:10 | The Myrth and chere is taken awaye out of the plentifull felde, and in the vyneyardes there shalbe no ioye ner gladnesse. The treader shall treade out no wyne in the presses, the song of theyr mery chere haue I layde downe. |
| 16:11 | Wherfore, my bowels shal romble lyke an harpe for Moabs sake, and myne inwarde partes for the cityes sake that is made of bryck. |
| 16:12 | And it shal come to passe, that whan it is sene that Moab shalbe made wery of hys hyll chapels, he shall come to his temple to praye, but he shal not be able |
| 16:13 | So then, thys is the sayeng that the Lord hath spoken concernyng, Moab sens that tyme. |
| 16:14 | But now the Lord hath spoken sayeng. In thre yeares which shalbe as the yeares of an hyred seruaunt: shall the glorye of Moab be turned into confusion, thorow out al his multitude, which is very great. And that whych remayneth, shalbe very small and feble. |
