Isaiah - Chapter: 18

>
18:1Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the riuers of Ethiopia:
18:2That sendeth ambassadours by the sea, euen in vessels of bulrushes vpon the waters, saying; Goe yee swift messengers to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto, a nation meted out and troden downe; whose land the riuers haue spoiled.
18:3All yee inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see yee, when hee lifteth vp an ensigne on the mountaines; and when he bloweth a trumpet, heare yee.
18:4For so the Lord sayd vnto me: I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a cleare heate vpon herbes, and like a cloud of dew in the heate of haruest.
18:5For afore the haruest when the bud is perfect, and the sowre grape is ripening in the flowre; hee shall both cut off the sprigges with pruning hookes, and take away and cut downe the branches.
18:6They shalbe left together vnto the foules of the mountaines, and to the beasts of the earth: and the foules shall summer vpon them, and all the beastes of the earth shall winter vpon them.
18:7In that time shall the present be brought vnto the Lord of hostes, of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and troden vnder foote, whose land the riuers haue spoiled, to the place of the name of the Lord of hostes, the mount Zion.

18:1Oh, the lande shadowing with winges, which is beyond the riuers of Ethiopia,
18:2Sending ambassadours by the Sea, euen in vessels of reedes vpon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation that is scattered abroade, and spoyled, vnto a terrible people from their beginning euen hitherto: a nation by litle and litle, euen troden vnder foote, whose land the floods haue spoyled.
18:3Al ye the inhabitants of ye world and dwellers in the earth, shall see when he setteth vp a signe in the mountaines, and when he bloweth the trumpet, ye shall heare.
18:4For so the Lord saide vnto me, I will rest and beholde in my tabernacle, as the heate drying vp the rayne, and as a cloude of dewe in the heate of haruest.
18:5For afore the haruest when the floure is finished, and the fruite is riping in the floure, then he shall cut downe the branches with hookes, and shall take away, and cut off the boughes:
18:6They shall be left together vnto the foules of the mountaines, and to the beastes of the earth: for the foule shall sommer vpon it, and euery beast of the earth shall winter vpon it.
18:7At that time shall a present be brought vnto the Lord of hostes, (a people that is scattered abroade, and spoyled, and of a terrible people from their beginning hitherto, a nation, by litle and litle euen troden vnder foote, whose land the riuers haue spoyled) to the place of the Name of the Lord of hostes, euen the mount Zion.

18:1O that lande that trusteth vnder the shadowe of wynges, that lande which is beyonde the waters of Ethiopia:
18:2Sending messaungers by the see, euen in vessels of redes ouer the water. Get you hence (ye spedye messaungers) to a nacion that is scatred a brode & robbed of that they had: a fearfull people from their begynning hytherto: a nacion troden downe by lytle and lytle, whose lande the floudes haue spoyled.
18:3All ye inhabiters of the worlde and indwellers of the earth, loke vp whan he setteth a token in the mountaynes, and harken whan he bloweth wyth the trompe.
18:4For so the Lorde sayde vnto me, as for me, I will take my rest, & loke vpon the matter in my habitacion, lyke a fayre heate after the rayne, & lyke a cloude of dew in the heat of haruest.
18:5For afore the haruest, whan the braunche is growne, there shal come ripe frute out of the floure, & he shall cut downe the increace wyth sythes, & the braunches shall he take awaye with hokes.
18:6Thus shal they be left together vnto the foules of the mountaynes, and to the beastes of the erth: for in sommer the byrdes shall remayne vpon it, and euery beest of the lande shalbe vpon it in the wynter.
18:7In that tyme shal there a present be brought vnto the Lorde of hoostes: euen a people that is scatred abrode, and robbed of that they had, that same people which hath bene fearfull from theyr begynnyng hyther to: a nacyon troden downe by lytle and lytle whose lande the floudes haue spoyled: To the place of the name of the Lord of hoostes, euen to the mount Syon.
