Ezekiel - Chapter: 11


11:1	Moreouer the Spirit lift me vp, and brought me vnto the East gate of the Lords house, which looketh Eastward: and behold at the doore of the gate fiue and twenty men; among whom I saw Iaazaniah the sonne of Azur, and Pelatiah the sonne of Benaiah, Princes of the people.
11:2	Then said he vnto me; Sonne of man, these are the men that deuise mischiefe, & giue wicked counsel in this city.
11:3	Which say, It is not neere, let vs build houses: this citie is the caldron, and we be the flesh.
11:4	Therefore prophecie against them, prophecie, O sonne of man.
11:5	And the Spirit of the Lord fell vpon me, and said vnto me, Speake, thus saith the Lord; Thus haue ye said, O house of Israel: for I know the things that come into your minde, euery one of them.
11:6	Ye haue multiplyed your slaine in this citie, and yee haue filled the streetes thereof with the slaine.
11:7	Therefore thus sayth the Lord God; Your slaine whom ye haue laid in the middest of it, they are the flesh, and this citie is the cauldron: but I wil bring you foorth out of the middest of it.
11:8	Ye haue feared the sword, and I will bring a sword vpon you, saith the Lord God.
11:9	And I will bring you out of the middest thereof, and deliuer you into the hands of strangers, and will execute iudgements among you.
11:10	Yee shall fall by the sword, I will iudge you in the border of Israel, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
11:11	This citie shall not be your cauldron, neither shall ye be the flesh in the middest thereof, but I will iudge you in the border of Israel.
11:12	And ye shall know that I am the Lord: for yee haue not walked in my statutes, neither executed my iudgements, but haue done after the maners of the heathen that are round about you.
11:13	And it came to passe, when I prophecied, that Pelatiah the sonne of Benaiah died: then fell I downe vpon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said; Ah Lord God, wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel?
11:14	Againe the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying;
11:15	Sonne of man, thy brethren, euen thy brethren, the men of thy kinred, and all the house of Israel wholly are they, vnto whom the inhabitants of Ierusalem haue sayd; Get yee farre from the Lord: vnto vs is this land giuen in possession.
11:16	Therefore say, Thus sayth the Lord God; Although I haue cast them farre off among the heathen, and although I haue scattered them among the countreys, yet will I be to them as a little Sanctuarie in the countreys where they shall come.
11:17	Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; I will euen gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countreys where ye haue beene scattered, and I will giue you the land of Israel.
11:18	And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof, and all the abominations thereof from thence.
11:19	And I wil giue them one heart, and I wil put a new spirit within you: and I will take the stonie heart out of their flesh, and will giue them an heart of flesh,
11:20	That they may walke in my statutes, and keepe mine ordinances, and doe them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
11:21	But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things, and their abominations, I wil recompense their way vpon their owne heads, saith the Lord God.
11:22	Then did the Cherubims lift vp their wings, and the wheeles besides them, and the glory of the God of Israel was ouer them aboue.
11:23	And the glory of the Lord went vp from the middest of the citie, and stood vpon the mountaine, which is on the East side of the citie.
11:24	Afterwards the spirit tooke me vp, and brought me in vision by the spirit of God into Caldea to them of the captiuity: so the vision that I had seene, went vp from me.
11:25	Then I spake vnto them of the captiuity, all the things that the Lord had shewed me.

11:2	Then said he vnto me, Sonne of man, these are the men that imagine mischiefe, and deuise wicked counsell in this citie.
11:3	For they say, It is not neere, let vs builde houses: this citie is the caldron, and wee be the flesh.
11:4	Therefore prophesie against them, sonne of man, prophesie.
11:5	And the Spirite of the Lord fell vpon me, and said vnto me, Speake, Thus saith the Lord, O ye house of Israel, this haue ye said, and I know that which riseth vp of your mindes.
11:6	Many haue ye murthered in this citie, and ye haue filled the streets thereof with the slaine.
11:7	Therefore thus saith the Lord God, They that ye haue slaine, and haue layed in the middes of it, they are the flesh, and this citie is the caldron, but I wil bring you foorth of the mids of it.
11:8	Ye haue feared the sworde, and I wil bring a sworde vpon you, saith the Lord God.
11:9	And I will bring you out of the middes thereof, and deliuer you into the hands of strangers, and will execute iudgements among you.
11:10	Ye shall fall by the sworde, and I wil iudge you in the border of Israel, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lord.
11:11	This citie shall not be your caldron, neyther shall ye be the flesh in the middes thereof, but I will iudge you in the border of Israel.
11:12	And ye shall knowe that I am the Lord: for ye haue not walked in my statutes, neither executed my iudgements, but haue done after the maners of the heathen, that are round about you.
11:13	And when I prophesied, Pelatiah the sonne of Benaiah dyed: then fell I downe vpon my face, and cryed with a loude voyce, and saide, Ah Lord God, wilt thou then vtterly destroy all the remnant of Israel?
11:14	Againe the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
11:15	Sonne of man, thy brethren, euen thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel, wholy are they vnto whome the inhabitants of Ierusalem haue said, Depart ye farre from the Lord: for the lande is giuen vs in possession.
11:16	Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God, Although I haue cast them farre off among the heathen, and although I haue scattered them among the countreis, yet wil I be to them as a litle Sanctuarie in ye countreis where they shall come.
11:17	Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God, I will gather you againe from the people, and assemble you out of the countreis where ye haue bene scattered, and I will giue you ye land of Israel.
11:18	And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the idoles thereof, and all the abominations thereof from thence.
11:19	And I will giue them one heart, and I will put a newe spirit within their bowels: and I will take the stonie heart out of their bodies, and will giue them an heart of flesh,
11:20	That they may walke in my statutes, and keepe my iudgements, and execute them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
11:21	But vpon them, whose heart is towarde their idoles, and whose affection goeth after their abominations, I will lay their way vpon their owne heades, saith the Lord God.
11:22	Then did the Cherubims lift vp their wings, and the wheeles besides them, and the glorie of the God of Israel was vpon them on hie.
11:23	And the glorie of the Lord went vp from the middes of the citie, and stoode vpon the moutaine which is towarde the East side of the citie.
11:24	Afterwarde the Spirite tooke me vp, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Caldea to them that were led away captiues: so the vision that I had seene, went vp from me.
11:25	Then I declared vnto them that were led away captiues, all the things that the Lord had shewed me.


11:1	Moreouer, the sprete of the Lord lyft me vp, and brought me vnto the East porte of the Lordes house. And beholde, there were .xxv. men vnder the dore amonge whom I sawe Iaazaniah the sonne of Azur, and Pheltiah the sonne of Bananiah, the rulers of the people.
11:2	Then sayde the Lorde vnto me: Thou sonne of man: these men ymagyn myschefe, and a wycked councell take they in thys cyte,
11:3	sayinge: tush, there is no destruccyon at hande, let vs buylde houses: this Ierusalem is the cauldron, and we be the fleshe.
11:4	Therfore shalt thou prophecye vnto them, yee, prophecye shalt thou vnto them, O sonne of man.
11:5	And wyth that fell the sprete of the Lorde vpon me, and sayde vnto me: Speake, thus sayeth the Lorde: On this maner haue ye spoken (O ye house of Israel) & I knowe the ymaginacyons of youre hertes.
11:6	Many one haue ye murthured in this cyte, and fylled the stretes full of the slayne.
11:7	Therfore, thus sayeth the Lorde God: The slayne men that ye haue layed on the grounde in this cyte, are the flesh, and thys cyte is the cauldron: But I wyll brynge you out of it
11:8	ye haue feared the swerde, & I wyll brynge a swearde ouer you, sayeth the Lorde God.
11:9	I wyll dryue you out of thys cyte and delyuer you into youre enemyes hande, and will condemne you.
11:10	Ye shalbe slayne in all the coastes of Israel, I wyll be auenged of you: to lerne you for to knowe, that I am the Lord.
11:11	Thys cyte shall not be youre cauldron, nether shall ye be the flesh theryn: but in the coastes of Israel wyll I punysh you,
11:12	that ye maye knowe, that I am the Lorde: in whose commaundementes ye haue not walcked, ner kepte his lawes: but haue done after the customes of the Heathen, that lye rounde aboute you.
11:13	Nowe when I preached, Pheltiah the sonne of Bananiah dyed. Then fell I downe vpon my face, and cryed wyth a loude voyce: O Lorde God, wylt thou then vtterlye destroye all the remnaunt in Israel?
11:14	And so the worde of the Lorde came to me on thys maner:
11:15	thou sonne of man: thy brethren, thy kynsfolke, & the whole house of Iuda, which dwell at Ierusalem, saye. Wythdrawe ye farre from the Lorde, for the lande is geuen vs in possession.
11:16	Therfore tell them, thus sayeth the Lorde God: I wyll sende you farre of amonge the Gentiles, and skatre you amonge the nacyons, & I wyll halowe you but a lytle, in the landes where ye shall come.
11:17	Tell them also, thus sayeth the Lorde God: I wyll gather you agayne out of the nacyons, and brynge you from the countrees where ye be scatred, and wyll geue you the lande of Israel agayne.
11:18	And they shall comme thyther. And they shall take awaye all ther Idols & all ther abhominacyons from thence.
11:19	And I wyll geue you one hert, and I wyll plante a newe sprete wythin your bowels. That stony herte will I take out of your body, and geue you a flesshy herte?
11:20	that ye maye walke in my commaundementes, and kepe myne ordinaunces, and do them: that ye maye be my people, & I youre God
11:21	But loke whose hertes are dysposed to folowe theyr abhominacyons and wycked lyuinges: those mens dedes wyll I brynge vpon theyr awne heades, sayeth the Lorde God.
11:22	After thys dyd the Cherubyns lyft vp theyr wynges, and the wheles wente wyth them, and the glory of the Lorde was vpon them.
11:23	So the glory of the Lorde wente vp from the myddest of the cyte, and stode vpon the mount of the cyte towarde the east:
11:24	But the wynde toke me vp, and in a visyon (whych came by the sprete of God) it brought me agayne into Caldea amonge the presoners. Then the visyon that I had sene vanyshed awaye fro me.
11:25	So I spake vnto the presoners, all the wordes of the Lorde, whych he had shewed me.
