Ezekiel - Chapter: 11

>
11:1Moreouer, the sprete of the Lord lyft me vp, and brought me vnto the East porte of the Lordes house. And beholde, there were .xxv. men vnder the dore amonge whom I sawe Iaazaniah the sonne of Azur, and Pheltiah the sonne of Bananiah, the rulers of the people.
11:2Then sayde the Lorde vnto me: Thou sonne of man: these men ymagyn myschefe, and a wycked councell take they in thys cyte,
11:3sayinge: tush, there is no destruccyon at hande, let vs buylde houses: this Ierusalem is the cauldron, and we be the fleshe.
11:4Therfore shalt thou prophecye vnto them, yee, prophecye shalt thou vnto them, O sonne of man.
11:5And wyth that fell the sprete of the Lorde vpon me, and sayde vnto me: Speake, thus sayeth the Lorde: On this maner haue ye spoken (O ye house of Israel) & I knowe the ymaginacyons of youre hertes.
11:6Many one haue ye murthured in this cyte, and fylled the stretes full of the slayne.
11:7Therfore, thus sayeth the Lorde God: The slayne men that ye haue layed on the grounde in this cyte, are the flesh, and thys cyte is the cauldron: But I wyll brynge you out of it
11:8ye haue feared the swerde, & I wyll brynge a swearde ouer you, sayeth the Lorde God.
11:9I wyll dryue you out of thys cyte and delyuer you into youre enemyes hande, and will condemne you.
11:10Ye shalbe slayne in all the coastes of Israel, I wyll be auenged of you: to lerne you for to knowe, that I am the Lord.
11:11Thys cyte shall not be youre cauldron, nether shall ye be the flesh theryn: but in the coastes of Israel wyll I punysh you,
11:12that ye maye knowe, that I am the Lorde: in whose commaundementes ye haue not walcked, ner kepte his lawes: but haue done after the customes of the Heathen, that lye rounde aboute you.
11:13Nowe when I preached, Pheltiah the sonne of Bananiah dyed. Then fell I downe vpon my face, and cryed wyth a loude voyce: O Lorde God, wylt thou then vtterlye destroye all the remnaunt in Israel?
11:14And so the worde of the Lorde came to me on thys maner:
11:15thou sonne of man: thy brethren, thy kynsfolke, & the whole house of Iuda, which dwell at Ierusalem, saye. Wythdrawe ye farre from the Lorde, for the lande is geuen vs in possession.
11:16Therfore tell them, thus sayeth the Lorde God: I wyll sende you farre of amonge the Gentiles, and skatre you amonge the nacyons, & I wyll halowe you but a lytle, in the landes where ye shall come.
11:17Tell them also, thus sayeth the Lorde God: I wyll gather you agayne out of the nacyons, and brynge you from the countrees where ye be scatred, and wyll geue you the lande of Israel agayne.
11:18And they shall comme thyther. And they shall take awaye all ther Idols & all ther abhominacyons from thence.
11:19And I wyll geue you one hert, and I wyll plante a newe sprete wythin your bowels. That stony herte will I take out of your body, and geue you a flesshy herte?
11:20that ye maye walke in my commaundementes, and kepe myne ordinaunces, and do them: that ye maye be my people, & I youre God
11:21But loke whose hertes are dysposed to folowe theyr abhominacyons and wycked lyuinges: those mens dedes wyll I brynge vpon theyr awne heades, sayeth the Lorde God.
11:22After thys dyd the Cherubyns lyft vp theyr wynges, and the wheles wente wyth them, and the glory of the Lorde was vpon them.
11:23So the glory of the Lorde wente vp from the myddest of the cyte, and stode vpon the mount of the cyte towarde the east:
11:24But the wynde toke me vp, and in a visyon (whych came by the sprete of God) it brought me agayne into Caldea amonge the presoners. Then the visyon that I had sene vanyshed awaye fro me.
11:25So I spake vnto the presoners, all the wordes of the Lorde, whych he had shewed me.

11:1And the spirit reiside me, and ledde me with ynne to the eest yate of the hous of the Lord, that biholdith the risyng of the sunne. And lo! in the entryng of the yate weren fyue and twenti men; and Y siy in the myddis of hem Jeconye, the sone of Assur, and Pheltie, the sone of Banaie, princes of the puple.
11:2And he seide to me, Thou, sone of man, these ben the men that thenken wickidnesse, and treten the worste counsel in this citee,
11:3and seien, Whether housis weren not bildid a while ago? this is the cawdrun, forsothe we ben fleischis.
11:4Therfor profesie thou of hem, profesie thou, sone of man.
11:5And the Spirit of the Lord felle in to me, and seide to me, Speke thou, The Lord seith these thingis, Ye hous of Israel spaken thus, and Y knewe the thouytis of youre herte;
11:6ye killiden ful many men in this citee, and ye filliden the weies therof with slayn men.
11:7Therfor the Lord seith these thingis, Youre slayn men, whiche ye puttiden in the myddis therof, these ben fleischis, and this is the cawdrun; and Y schal lede you out of the myddis therof.
11:8Ye dredden swerd, and Y schal brynge in swerd on you, seith the Lord God.
11:9And Y schal caste you out of the myddis therof, and Y schal yyue you in to the hond of enemyes, and Y schal make domes in you.
11:10Bi swerd ye schulen falle doun, Y schal deme you in the endis of Israel; and ye schulen wite, that Y am the Lord.
11:11This schal not be to you in to a cawdrun, and ye schulen not be in to fleischis in the myddis therof; Y schal deme you in the endis of Israel,
11:12and ye schulen wite, that Y am the Lord. For ye yeden not in myn heestis, and ye dyden not my domes, but ye wrouyten bi the domes of hethene men, that ben in youre cumpas.
11:13And it was doon, whanne Y profesiede, Pheltie, the sone of Banaie, was deed; and Y felle doun on my face, and Y criede with greet vois, and seide, Alas! alas! alas! Lord God, thou makist endyng of the remenauntis of Israel.
11:14And the word of the Lord was maad to me,
11:15and he seide, Sone of man, thi britheren, thi kynes men, and al the hous of Israel, and alle men, to whiche the dwelleris of Jerusalem seiden, Go ye awei fer fro the Lord, the lond is youun to vs in to possessioun.
11:16Therfor the Lord God seith these thingis, For Y made hem fer among hethene men, and for Y scateride hem in londis, Y schal be to hem in to a litil halewyng, in the londis to whiche thei camen.
11:17Therfor speke thou, The Lord God seith these thingis, Y schal gadere you fro puplis, and Y schal gadere you togidere fro londis, in whiche ye ben scatered; and Y schal yyue the erthe of Israel to you.
11:18And thei schulen entre thidur, and schulen do awei alle offenciouns, and alle abhomynaciouns therof in that dai.
11:19And Y schal yyue to hem oon herte, and Y schal yyue a newe spirit in the entrails of hem; and Y schal take awei a stony herte fro the fleisch of hem, and Y schal yyue to hem an herte of fleisch;
11:20that thei go in my comaundementis, and kepe my domes, and do tho; and that thei be in to a puple to me, and Y be in to God to hem.
11:21But of whiche the herte goith after her offendyngis and abhomynaciouns, Y schal sette the weie of hem in her heed, seith the Lord God.
11:22And the cherubyns reisiden her wyngis, and the wheelis yeden with tho, and the glorie of God of Israel was on tho.
11:23And the glorie of the Lord stiede fro the myddis of the citee, and stood on the hil, which is at the eest of the citee.
11:24And the spirit reiside me, and brouyte me in to Caldee, to the passyng ouer, in visioun bi the spirit of God; and the visioun which Y hadde seyn, was takun awei fro me.
11:25And Y spak to the passyng ouer alle the wordis of the Lord, whiche he hadde schewid to me.

11:1Morouer, the sprete of the LORDE lift me vp, & brought me vnto ye east porte of the LORDES house. And beholde, there were xxv men vnder the dore: amoge whom I sawe Iaasanias the sonne of Asur, & Pheltias the sonne of Banias, the rulers of the people.
11:2Then sayde the LORDE vnto me: Thou sonne of man: These men ymagin myschefe, and a wicked councel take they in this cite,
11:3sayenge: Tush, there is no destruccion at honde, let vs buylde houses: This Ierusalem is the cauldron, & we be the flesh.
11:4Therfore shalt thou prophecie vnto them, yee prophecie shalt thou vnto them, O sonne of man.
11:5And with that, fell the sprete of the LORDE vpon me, and sayde vnto me: Speake, thus saieth the LORDE: On this maner haue yee spoke (O ye house of Israel) and I knowe the ymaginacios of youre hertes.
11:6Many one haue ye murthured in this cite, & filled the stretes full of the slayne.
11:7Therfore, thus saieth the LORDE God: The slayne men that ye haue layed on the grounde in this cite, are the flesh, & this cite is the cauldron: But I wil bringe you out of it:
11:8ye haue drawe out ye swearde, eue so wil I also bringe a swearde ouer you, saieth ye LORDE God.
11:9I will dryue you out of this cite and delyuer you in to youre enemies honde, & wil condemne you.
11:10Ye shal be slayne in all the coastes of Israel, I wil be avenged of you: to lerne you for to knowe, that I am the LORDE.
11:11This cite shal not be youre cauldron, nether shal ye be the flesh therin: but in the coastes of Israel wil I punysh you,
11:12that ye maye knowe, that I am the LORDE: in whose commaundementes ye haue not walked, ner kepte his lawes: but haue done after the customes of the Heithen, that lie rounde aboute you.
11:13Now when I preached, Pheltias the sonne of Banias dyed. Then fell I downe vpo my face, & cried with a loude voyce: O LORDE God, wilt thou then vterly destroye all the remnaunt in Israel?
11:14And so the worde of the LORDE came to me on this maner:
11:15Thou sonne of man: Thy brethren, thy kynsfolke, & ye whole house of Iuda, which dwell at Ierusalem, saye: They be gone farre from the LORDE, but the londe is geuen vs in possession.
11:16Therfore tell them, thus saieth the LORDE God: I wil sende you farre of amoge the Gentiles, & scatre you amonge the nacions, & I wil halowe you but a litle, in the londes where ye shall come.
11:17Tell them also, thus saieth the LORDE God: I wil gather you agayne out of the nacions, & bringe you from the countrees where ye be scatred, & will geue you the londe of Israel agayne:
11:18& thither shal ye come. And as for all impedimentes, & all youre abhominacions: I will take them awaye.
11:19And I wil geue you one herte, & wil plante a new sprete within yor bowels. That stony herte wil I take out of youre body, & geue you a fleshy herte:
11:20that ye maye walke in my commaundementes, and kepe myne ordinaunces, & do them: that ye maye be my people, and I youre God.
11:21But loke whose hertes are disposed to folowe their abhominacions and wicked lyuynges: Those mens dedes will I bringe vpon their owne heades, saieth the LORDE God.
11:22After this dyd the Cherubins lift vp their winges, and the wheles wente with them, and the glory of the LORDE was vpon them.
11:23So the glory of the LORDE wente vp from the myddest of the cite, & stode vpon the mount of the cite towarde the east.
11:24sprete of God) it brought me agayne in to Caldea amonge the presoners. Then the vision that I had sene, vanyshed awaye fro me.
11:25So I spake vnto the presoners, all the wordes of the LORDE, which he had shewed me.
