| 29:1 | In the tenth yeare, vpon the twelueth daye of the tenth moneth, the worde of the Lorde came vnto me, sayenge: |
| 29:2 | O thou sonne of man (set now thy face agaynst Pharao the kynge of Egypte) Prophecye agaynst him, and agaynst the whole lande of Egypt. |
| 29:3 | Speake, and tell him, thus sayeth the Lorde God: behold, O pharao thou kynge of Egypte, I will vpon the thou great dragon, that lyest in the waters: thou that sayest: the water is myne. I haue made it my selfe. |
| 29:4 | I will put an hoke in thy chawes and hange all the fysh in thy waters vpon thy skales: after that I will drawe the out of thy waters, yee, and all the fysh of thy waters that hange vpon thy skales. |
| 29:5 | I will cast the out vpon the drye lande wt the fysh of thy waters, so that thou shalt lye vpon the feld. Thou shalt not be gathered ner taken vp: but shalt be meate for the beastes of the felde, & for the foules of the ayre: |
| 29:6 | that all they which dwell in Egypte, maye knowe, that I am the Lorde: because thou hast bene a staf of rede to the house of Israel. |
| 29:7 | When they toke holde of the with theyr hande thou brakest & pryckedst them on euery syde: and yf they leaned vpon the, thou brakest and hurtdest the reynes of theyr backes. |
| 29:8 | Therfore, thus sayeth the Lorde God: beholde, I wyll brynge a swearde vpon the, & rote out of the bothe man & beast. |
| 29:9 | Yee, the lande of Egypte shalbe desolate & waste, and they shall knowe, that I am the Lorde. Because he sayde: the water is myne, I my selfe haue made it. |
| 29:10 | Beholde therfore, I wyll vpon the, and vpon thy waters: I will make the lande of Egypt waste & desolate & in abashment, from the tower of Syenes vnto the borders of the Morians lande: |
| 29:11 | so that in fourty yeares there shall no fote of man walke there, nether fote of catell go there, nether shall it be inhabited. |
| 29:12 | I will make the land of Egypte to be desolat, amonge other waste conntrees, and her cyties to lye voyde fourty yeares, amonge other voyde cyties. And I will scatre the Egypcians among the Heathen and nacyons. |
| 29:13 | Agayne, thus sayeth the Lorde God: When the .xl. yeares are expyred, I wyll gather the Egypcians together agayne, out of the nacions, among whom they were scatred, |
| 29:14 | and wyll bryng the presoners of Egypt agayne into the land of Pathures theyr awne natyue countre, that they maye be there a lowly small kyngdome: |
| 29:15 | yee, they shalbe the smallest amonge other kyngdomes, lest they exalte them selues aboue the Heathen: for I will so mynysh them that they shall nomore rule the Heathen. |
| 29:16 | They shall nomore be an hope vnto the house of Israel, nether prouoke them any more to wyckednes, to cause them turne backe, and to folowe them: and they shall knowe that I am the Lorde God. |
| 29:17 | In the .xxvii. yeare, the fyrst daye of the fyrst moneth, came the worde of the Lord vnto me sayeng: |
| 29:18 | Thou sonne of man, Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon hath made his hoost, with great trauayle & labour to come before Tyre: that euery head maye be balde & euery shoulder bare. Yet hath Tyre geuen nether hym ner hys hoost any rewarde, for the great trauayl that he hath taken there. |
| 29:19 | Therfore, thus sayeth the Lord God: beholde, I will geue the lande of Egypt vnto Nabuchodonosor the kynge of Babylon, that he maye take awaye all her substaunce, robbe her roberyes, & spoyle her spoyles, to paye his hoost theyr wagyes withall. |
| 29:20 | I will geue hym the lande of Egypte for hys labour, that he toke for me before Tyre. |
| 29:21 | At the same tyme will I cause the horne of the house of Israell to growe forth, and open thy mouth agayne among them: that they maye knowe, how that I am the Lorde. |
| 29:1 | In the tenthe yeer, in the tweluethe monethe, in the firste dai of the monethe, the word of the Lord was maad to me, and he seide, |
| 29:2 | Thou, sone of man, sette thi face ayens Farao, king of Egipt; and thou schalt profesie of hym, and of al Egipt. |
| 29:3 | Speke thou, and thou schalt seie, The Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! Y to thee, thou Farao, kyng of Egipt, thou grete dragoun, that liggist in the myddis of thi floodis, and seist, The flood is myn, and Y made mysilf. |
| 29:4 | And Y schal sette a bridil in thi chekis, and Y schal glue the fischis of thi floodis to thi scalis; and Y schal drawe thee out of the myddis of thi floodis, and alle thi fischis schulen cleue to thi scalis. |
| 29:5 | And Y schal caste thee forth in to desert, and alle the fischis of thi flood; on the face of erthe thou schalt falle doun, thou schalt not be gaderid, nethir schalt be gaderid togidere; to the beestis of erthe, and to the volatilis of the eir Y yaf thee to be deuourid. |
| 29:6 | And alle the dwelleris of Egipt schulen knowe, that Y am the Lord. For that that thou were a staf of rehed to the hous of Israel, whanne thei token thee with hond, |
| 29:7 | and thou were brokun, and to-rentist ech schuldre of hem, and whanne thei restiden on thee, thou were maad lesse, and thou hast discoumfortid alle the reynes of hem; |
| 29:8 | therfor the Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal bringe a swerd on thee, and Y schal sle of thee man and beeste; |
| 29:9 | and the lond of Egipt schal be in to desert, and in to wildirnesse, and thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord. For that that thou seidist, The flood is myn, and Y made it, therfor lo! |
| 29:10 | Y to thee, and to thi floodis. And Y schal yyue `in to wildirnesses the lond of Egipt distried bi swerd, fro the tour of Sienes til to the termes of Ethiopie. |
| 29:11 | The foot of man schal not passe bi it, nether the foot of beeste schal go in it, and it schal not be enhabitid in fourti yeer. |
| 29:12 | And Y schal yyue the lond of Egipt forsakun, in the myddis of londis forsakun, and the citees therof in the myddis of a citee distried, and tho schulen be desolat bi fourti yeer. And Y schal scatere Egipcians in to naciouns, and Y schal wyndewe hem in to londis. |
| 29:13 | For the Lord God seith these thingis, After the ende of fourti yeer Y schal gadere togidere Egipt fro puplis, among whiche thei weren scaterid; |
| 29:14 | and Y schal bringe ayen the caitifte of Egipte. And Y schal sette hem in the lond of Phatures, in the lond of her birthe; and thei schulen be there in to a meke rewme, |
| 29:15 | and among othere rewmes it schal be most low, and it schal no more be reisid ouer naciouns. And Y schal make hem lesse, that thei regne not on hethene men; |
| 29:16 | and thei schulen no more be to the hous of Israel in trist, techinge wickidnesse, that thei fle, and sue hem; and thei schulen knowe, that Y am the Lord God. |
| 29:17 | And it was don in the seuene and twentithe yeer, in the firste monethe, in the firste dai of the monethe, the word of the Lord was maad to me, |
| 29:18 | and he seide, Thou, sone of man, Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, made his oost to serue bi greet seruyce ayens Tire; ech heed was maad ballid, and ech schuldir was maad bare of heer, and meede was not yoldun of Tire to hym, nether to his oost, for the seruyce bi which he seruede to me ayens it. |
| 29:19 | Therfor the Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal yyue Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, in the lond of Egipt, and he schal take the multitude therof; and he schal take in preye the clothis therof, and he schal rauysche the spuylis therof, and meede schal be to his oost, |
| 29:20 | and to the werk for which he seruyde to me ayens it; and Y yaf the lond of Egipt to hym, for that that he trauelide to me, seith the Lord God. |
| 29:21 | In that dai an horn of the hous of Israel schal come forth, and Y schal yyue to thee an open mouth in the myddis of hem; and thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord. |

| 29:3 | Speake, and tell him, thus saieth the LORDE God: beholde, o Pharao thou kinge of Egipte, I wil vpo the, thou greate whall fysh, yt lyest in yi waters: Thou yt sayest: the water is myne, I haue made it myself. |

| 29:9 | Yee the londe of Egipte shalbe desolate and waist, & they shal knowe, that I am the LORDE: Because he sayde: the water is mine, I my self haue made it. |
| 29:10 | Beholde therfore, I wil vpon the, & vpon thy waters: I will make the londe off Egipte waist and desolate, from the towre of Syenes vnto the borders of the Morias londe: |
| 29:11 | so that in xl. yeares there shall no fote off man walke there, nether fote of catell go there, nether shal it be inhabited. |
| 29:12 | I wil make the londe of Egipte to be desolate amonge other waist countrees, and her cities to lye voyde xl. yeares, amonge other voyde cities: And I wil scatre the Egipcians amonge the Heithen and nacions. |
| 29:13 | Agayne, thus sayeth the LORDE God: Whe the xl. yeares are expyred, I wil gather the Egipcians together agayne, out off the nacios, amonge who they were scatred, |
| 29:14 | and wil bringe the presoners off Egipte agayne in to the londe off Pathures their owne natyue countre, that they maye be there a lowly small kyngdome: |
| 29:15 | yee they shal be the smallest amonge other kyngdomes, lest they exalte them selues aboue the Heithen: for I will so mynish them, |
| 29:16 | that they shall nomore rule the Heithen. They shall nomore be an hope vnto the house off Israel, nether prouoke the enymore to wickednesse, to cause them turne backe, and to folowe them: ad they shal knowe, that I am the LORDE God. |
| 29:17 | In the xxvij. yeare, the first daye of the first Moneth, came ye worde off the LORDE vnto me, sayenge: |
| 29:18 | Thou sonne off man, Nabuchodonosor the kynge off Babilon hath made his hoost, with greate trauayle and laboure to come before Tyre: that euery heade maye be balde, and euery shulder bare. Yet hath Tyre geuen nether him ner his hoost eny rewarde, for ye greate trauayle yt he hath taken there. |
| 29:19 | Therfore thus saieth ye LORDE God: beholde I will geue the lode of Egipte vnto Nabuchodonosor the kynge off Babilo, yt he maye take awaye all hir substauce, robbe hir robberies, ad spoyle hir spoyles, to paye his hoost their wagies withall. |
| 29:20 | I wil geue him the londe of Egipte for his laboure, that he toke for me before Tyre. |
| 29:21 | At the same tyme wil I cause the horne off the house of Israel to growe forth, & open thy mouth agayne amonge them: that they maye knowe, how that I am the LORDE. |
