Ezekiel - Chapter: 38

>
38:1And the word of ye Lord came vnto me, saying;
38:2Sonne of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog the chiefe prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophecie against him,
38:3And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chiefe prince of Meshech and Tubal.
38:4And I will turne thee backe, and put hookes into thy chawes, and I will bring thee foorth, and all thine armie, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, euen a great company with bucklers & shields, all of them handling swordes.
38:5Persia, Ethiopia and Libya with them; all of them with shield & helmet:
38:6Gomer and all his bandes, the house of Togarmah of the North quarters, and all his bands, and many people with thee.
38:7Be thou prepared, and prepare for thy selfe, thou and all thy company, that are assembled vnto thee, and be thou a guard vnto them.
38:8After many daies thou shalt be visited: in the latter yeeres thou shalt come into the land, that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people against the mountaines of Israel, which haue beene alwayes waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
38:9Thou shalt ascend and come like a storme, thou shalt be like a cloud to couer the land, thou and all thy bands, and many people with thee.
38:10Thus saith the Lord God; It shall also come to passe, that at the same time shall things come into thy minde, and thou shalt thinke an euill thought.
38:11And thou shalt say: I will goe vp to the land of vnwalled villages; I will goe to them that are at rest, that dwell safely all of them dwelling without walles, and hauing neither barres nor gates;
38:12To take a spoile, and to take a praye, to turne thine hand vpon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and vpon the people that are gathered out of the nations which haue gotten cattel and goods, that dwell in the middest of the land.
38:13Sheba, and Dedan, and the marchants of Tarshish, with all the young lyons thereof, shall say vnto thee, Art thou come to take a spoile? hast thou gathered thy company to take a praye? to carie away siluer and gold, to take away cattell and goods, to take a great spoile?
38:14Therefore, sonne of man, prophecie and say vnto Gog, Thus saith the Lord God; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?
38:15And thou shalt come from thy place out of the North parts, thou and many people with thee, all of them riding vpon horses, a great company, and a mighty armie.
38:16And thou shalt come vp against my people of Israel, as a cloud to couer the land; it shall be in the latter dayes, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
38:17Thus saith the Lord God; Art thou hee, of whom I haue spoken in old time by my seruants the prophets of Israel, which prophecied in those dayes many yeeres, that I would bring thee against them?
38:18And it shall come to passe at the same time, when Gog shal come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord God, that my furie shall come vp in my face.
38:19For in my iealousie, and in the fire of my wrath haue I spoken: surely in that day, there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel.
38:20So that the fishes of the sea, and the foules of the heauen, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creepe vpon the earth, and all the men that are vpon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountaines shall be throwen downe, and the steepe places shall fall, and euery wall shall fall to the ground.
38:21And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountaines, saith the Lord God: euery mans sword shalbe against his brother.
38:22And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood, and I will raine vpon him and vpon his bands, and vpon the many people that are with him, an ouerflowing raine, and great hailestones, fire, and brimstone.
38:23Thus will I magnifie my selfe, and sanctifie my selfe, and I will be knowen in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord.

38:1And the worde of the Lord came vnto mee, saying,
38:2Sonne of man, set thy face against Gog, and against the lande of Magog, the chiefe prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophecie against him,
38:3And say, Thus sayth the Lord God, Behold, I come against thee, O Gog the chiefe prince of Meshech and Tubal.
38:4And I wil destroy thee, and put hookes in thy chawes, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine host both horses, and horsemen, all clothed with al sorts of armour, eue a great multitude with bucklers, and shieldes, all handling swords.
38:5They of Paras, of Cush, and Phut with the, euen all they that beare shielde and helmet.
38:6Gomer and all his bands, and the house of Togarmah of the North quarters, and al his bands, and much people with thee.
38:7Prepare thy selfe, and make thee ready, both thou, and al thy multitude, that are assembled vnto thee, and be thou their sauegard.
38:8After many dayes thou shalt bee visited: for in the latter yeres thou shalt come into the land, that hath bene destroyed with the sworde, and is gathered out of many people vpon the mountaines of Israel, which haue long lien waste: yet they haue bene brought out of the people, and they shall dwell all safe.
38:9Thou shalt ascende and come vp like a tempest, and shalt be like a cloude to couer the land, both thou, and all thy bandes, and many people with thee.
38:10Thus saith the Lord God, Euen at ye same time shall many things come into thy minde, and thou shalt thinke euil thoughts.
38:11And thou shalt say, I wil go vp to the land that hath no walled towres: I will goe to them that are at rest, and dwell in safetie, which dwell all without walles, and haue neither barres nor gates,
38:12Thinking to spoyle the pray, and to take a bootie, to turne thine hande vpon the desolate places that are nowe inhabited, and vpon the people, that are gathered out of the nations which haue gotten cattell and goods, and dwell in the middes of the land.
38:13Sheba and Dedan, and the marchantes of Tarshish with all the lions thereof shall say vnto thee, Art thou come to spoyle the praye? hast thou gathered thy multitude to take a booty? to cary away siluer and golde, to take away cattell and goods, and to spoyle a great pray?
38:14Therefore, sonne of man, prophecie, and saye vnto Gog, Thus sayeth the Lord God, In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safe, shalt thou not knowe it?
38:15And come from thy place out of the North partes, thou and much people with thee? all shall ride vpon horses, euen a great multitude and a mightie armie.
38:16And thou shalt come vp against my people of Israel, as a cloude to couer the land: thou shalt be in the latter dayes, and I will bring thee vpon my lande, that the heathen may knowe mee, when I shalbe sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
38:17Thus saith the Lord God, Art not thou he, of whom I haue spoken in olde time, by ye hand of my seruants the Prophets of Israel which prophecied in those dayes and yeeres, that I woulde bring thee vpon them?
38:18At the same time also whe Gog shall come against the land of Israel, sayth the Lord God, my wrath shall arise in mine anger.
38:19For in mine indignation and in the fire of my wrath haue I spoken it: surely at that time there shalbe a great shaking in the land of Israel,
38:20So that the fishes of the sea, and the foules of the heauen, and the beasts of the field and al that moue and creepe vpon the earth, and al ye men that are vpon the earth, shall tremble at my presence, and the mountaines shalbe ouerthrowen, and the staires shall fall, and euery wall shall fall to the ground.
38:21For I will call for a sworde against him throughout all my mountaines, saith the Lord God: euery mans sword shalbe against his brother.
38:22And I will pleade against him with pestilence, and with blood, and I will cause to raine vpon him and vpon his bands, and vpon the great people, that are with him, a sore raine, and hailestones, fire, and brimstone.
38:23Thus will I be magnified, and sanctified, and knowen in the eyes of many nations, and they shall knowe, that I am the Lord.

38:1And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, sayinge.
38:2Thou sonne of man, turne thy face towarde Gog the lande of Magog which is the chefe prince at Mesech and Tubal: prophecy agaynst hym,
38:3& saye. Thus sayeth the Lord God. O Gog thou chefe prince of Mesech and Tubal: beholde, I will vpon the,
38:4& will turne the aboute and put a bytt in thy chawes: I will bringe the forth and all thine hoost, both horse and horsmen, which be all weapened of the best fassion: a great people, that handle altogether speares, shildes, & swerdes:
38:5the Perses, Morians and with them the Libians, which all beare shildes and helmettes:
38:6Gomer and all his hoostes: the house of Thogorma out of the north quarters, and all his hoostes, yee, and moch people with the.
38:7Therfore prepare the, set thy selfe in araye with all thy people, that are come vnto the by heapes, and be thou their defence.
38:8After many dayes thou shalt be visited, and in the latter yeares thou shalt come into the lande that hath bene destroyed with the swearde, & now is replenished agayne with diuerse people vpon the mountaines of Israel, which haue longe lyen waste. Yee, they be brought out of the nacions, and dwell all safe.
38:9Thou shalt come vp like a stormy wether, to couer the lande, & as it were a darck cloude, thou with all thine hostes, and a greate multitude of people with the.
38:10Moreouer, thus sayeth the Lord God: At the same tyme shal many thinges come into thy mynde, so that thou shalt ymagyn myschefe,
38:11and saye: I wyll vp to yonder playne lande, seinge they syt at ease, & dwell so safely (for they dwell all without any walles they haue nether barres nor dores)
38:12to spoyle them, to robbe them, to laye hande vpon their so well inhabited wyldernesses: against that people, that is gathered together from amonge the Heathen, which haue gotten catell and good, and dwell in the middest of the lande.
38:13Then shall Saba, and Dedan, and the marchauntes of Tharsis with all their worthies saye vnto the: Art thou come to robbe? Hast thou gathered thy people together, because thou wilt spoyle? to take syluer and golde: to cary awaye catell and good, and to haue a greate praye?
38:14Therfore, O thou sonne of man, thou shalt prophecie, and saye vnto God. Thus saieth the Lord God. In that daye thou shalt knowe that my people of Israel dwelleth safe:
38:15and shalt come from thy place out of the north partes, thou & moch people with the which ryde vpon horses, whereof there is a greate multitude and an innumerable sorte.
38:16Yee, thou shalt come vpon my people of Israell, as a cloude to couer the lande. Thys shall come to passe in the latter dayes: I will bringe the vp into my lande, that the heathen maye knowe me, when I get me honoure vpon the (O Gog) before their eyes.
38:17Thus sayeth the Lorde God: Thou art he, of whom I haue spoken afore tyme by my seruauntes the prophetes of Israel, which prophecied in those dayes and yeares, that I shuld bringe the vpon them.
38:18At the same tyme, when Gog commeth vp into the land of Israel (saieth the Lord God) shal my indignacion go forth in my wrath.
38:19For in my gelousy and hote displeasure I haue deuysed that there shalbe a greate trouble in the lande of Israell at that tyme.
38:20The very fishes in the see, the foules of the ayre, the beastes of the felde, and all the men that are vpon the earth, shall tremble for feare of me. The hilles also shalbe turned vp side downe, the stayres of stone shal fall, and all walles shal syncke to the grounde.
38:21I will cal for a swearde vpon them in all my mountaines sayeth the Lorde God: so that euery mans swearde shall be vpon another.
38:22With pestylence and bloude will I punishe him: stormy rayne and hayle stones, fyre and brimstome will I cause to rayne vpon him and all his heape, yee, and vpon all that greate people that is with hym.
38:23Thus will I be magnifyed, honoured, & knowne amonge the Heathen: that they maye be sure, howe that I am the Lorde.
