Zechariah - Chapter: 4

>
4:1And the Angell that talked with me, came againe and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleepe:
4:2And said vnto mee, What seest thou? and I said, I haue looked, and behold a candlesticke all of gold, with a bowle vpon the top of it, and his seuen lampes thereon, and seuen pipes to the seuen lampes, which were vpon the top thereof.
4:3And two Oliue trees by it, one vpon the right side of the bowle, and the other vpon the left side thereof.
4:4So I answered and spake to the Angell that talked with mee, saying: What are these, my Lord?
4:5Then the Angel that talked with me, answered and said vnto me; Knowest thou not what these be? and I said; No, my Lord.
4:6Then hee answered and spake vnto mee, saying; This is the word of the Lord vnto Zerubbabel, saying; Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hostes.
4:7Who art thou, O great mountaine? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plaine, and he shall bring forth the head stone thereof with shoutings, crying; Grace, grace vnto it.
4:8Moreouer the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying;
4:9The hands of Zerubbabel haue layed the foundation of this house: his hands shall also finish it, and thou shalt know that the Lord of hostes hath sent me vnto you.
4:10For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall reioyce and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seuen: they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
4:11Then answered I, and said vnto him; What are these two oliue trees vpon the right side of the candlesticke, and vpon the left side thereof?
4:12And I answered againe and said vnto him, What be these two oliue branches, which through the two golden pipes emptie the golden oyle out of themselues?
4:13And hee answered mee and said; Knowest thou not what these be? and I said, No, my Lord.
4:14Then said he; These are the two annointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

4:3And two oliue trees ouer it, one vpon the right side of the bowle, and the other vpon the left side thereof.
4:4So I answered, and spake to the Angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my Lord?
4:5Then the Angel that talked with mee, answered and said vnto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my Lord.
4:6Then he answered and spake vnto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord vnto Zerubbabel, saying, Neither by an armie nor strength, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hostes.
4:7Who art thou, O great mountaine, before Zerubbabel? thou shalt be a plaine, and he shall bring foorth the head stone thereof, with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace vnto it.
4:8Moreouer, the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
4:9The handes of Zerubbabel haue layde the foundation of this house: his handes shall also finish it, and thou shalt knowe that the Lord of hostes hath sent me vnto you.
4:10For who hath despised the day of the small thinges? but they shall reioyce, and shall see the stone of tinne in the hand of Zerubbabel: these seuen are the eyes of the Lord, which go thorow the whole world.
4:11Then answered I, and said vnto him, What are these two oliue trees vpon the right and vpon the left side thereof?
4:12And I spake moreouer, and said vnto him, What bee these two oliue branches, which thorowe the two golden pipes emptie themselues into the golde?
4:13And hee answered me, and saide, Knowest thou not what these bee? And I sayde, No, my Lord.
4:14Then said he, These are the two oliue branches, that stand with the ruler of the whole earth.

 

4:1And the angel that talked with me cam agayne, and waked me vp, as a man that is raysed out of hys slep
4:2& sayd vnto me: what seyst thou? And I sayde I haue loked, and beholde: a candelstycke al of golde with a boule vpon it, & his seuen lampes therin, and vpon euery lampe seuen stalkes.
4:3And two olyue trees therby, one vpon the ryght syde of the boule, and the other vpon the lyftesyde.
4:4So I answered, and spake to the angel that talked wt me saying, O my Lord what are these?
4:5the angell that talked wyth me answered and sayde vnto me: knoweste thou not what these be? and I sayde: No my Lorde.
4:6He answered & sayde vnto me: This is the worde of the Lorde vnto Zorobabel, sayinge: Nether thorow an hooste of men nor thorowe strengthe, but thorowe my sprete, sayeth the Lorde of hoostes.
4:7What art thou thou great mountayne, before Zorobabel? thou must be made euen. And he shal brynge vp the fyrste stone, so that men shal crye vnto him good lucke good lucke.
4:8Moreouer, the worde of the Lord came vnto me sayinge.
4:9The handes of Zorobobel haue layed the foundacyon of the house: hys handes, shall also fynyshe it, that ye maye knowe howe that the Lorde of hoostes hath sent me vnto you.
4:10For he that hath bene dispysed a lytle ceason, shall reioyce, when he seeth the tynne weyght in Zorobabels hande. The .vii. eyes are the Lordes whych go thorow the whole world.
4:11Then answered I, and sayd vnto him, what are these two olyue trees vpon the ryght and lefte syde of the candelstick?
4:12I spake moreouer, and sayd vnto him what be these two olyue braunches (whych thorow the two golden pypes) emptie them selues into the gold?
4:13He answered me & sayd knowest thou not, what these be? And I sayde, no, my Lorde.
4:14Then sayd he. These are the two olyue braunches, that stande before the ruler of the whole earth.
