| 10:1 | And when hee had called vnto him his twelue disciples, he gaue them power against vncleane spirits, to cast them out, and to heale all maner of sickenesse, and all maner of disease. |
| 10:2 | Now the names of the twelue Apostles are these: The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, Iames the sonne of Zebedee, and Iohn his brother: |

| 10:5 | These twelue Iesus sent foorth, and commanded them, saying, Goe not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: |
| 10:6 | But goe rather to the lost sheepe of the house of Israel. |
| 10:7 | And as yee goe, preach, saying, The kingdome of heauen is at hand: |
| 10:8 | Heale the sicke, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out deuils: freely ye haue receiued, freely giue. |
| 10:9 | Prouide neither gold, nor siluer, nor brasse in your purses: |
| 10:10 | Nor scrippe for your iourney, neither two coats, neither shooes, nor yet staues: (for the workeman is worthy of his meat.) |
| 10:11 | And into whatsoeuer city or towne ye shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and there abide till yee goe thence. |
| 10:12 | And when ye come into an house, salute it. |
| 10:13 | And if the house be worthy, let your peace come vpon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace returne to you. |
| 10:14 | And whosoeuer shall not receiue you, nor heare your words: when yee depart out of that house, or city, shake off the dust of your feete. |
| 10:15 | Uerely I say vnto you, it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of iudgment, then for that citie. |
| 10:16 | Behold, I send you foorth as sheepe in the middest of wolues: be yee therefore wise as serpents, and harmelesse as doues. |
| 10:17 | But beware of men: for they will deliuer you vp to the Councils, and they will scourge you in their Synagogues, |
| 10:18 | And yee shall be brought before Gouernours and Kings for my sake, for a testimonie against them, and the Gentiles. |
| 10:19 | But when they deliuer you vp, take no thought, how or what ye shall speake, for it shall bee giuen you in that same houre what ye shall speake. |
| 10:20 | For it is not yee that speake, but the Spirit of your Father, which speaketh in you. |
| 10:21 | And the brother shall deliuer vp the brother to death, and the father the childe: and the children shall rise vp against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. |
| 10:22 | And yee shall be hated of all men for my Names sake: but he that endureth to the end, shalbe saued. |
| 10:23 | But when they persecute you in this citie, flee ye into another: for verely I say vnto you, ye shall not haue gone ouer the cities of Israel, till the Sonne of man be come. |
| 10:24 | The disciple is not aboue his master, nor the seruant aboue his lord. |
| 10:25 | It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the seruant as his Lord: If they haue called the Master of the house of Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? |
| 10:26 | Feare them not therefore: for there is nothing couered, that shall not be reueiled; and hidde, that shall not be knowen. |
| 10:27 | What I tell you in darkenesse, that speake yee in light: and what yee heare in the eare, that preach yee vpon the house tops. |
| 10:28 | And feare not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soule: but rather feare him which is able to destroy both soule and body in hell. |
| 10:29 | Are not two Sparrowes solde for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. |
| 10:30 | But the very haires of your head are all numbred. |
| 10:31 | Feare yee not therefore, ye are of more value then many Sparrowes. |
| 10:32 | Whosoeuer therefore shall confesse mee before men, him will I confesse also before my Father which is in heauen. |
| 10:33 | But whosoeuer shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heauen. |
| 10:34 | Thinke not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. |
| 10:35 | For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, & the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. |
| 10:36 | And a mans foes shalbe they of his owne houshold. |
| 10:37 | He that loueth father or mother more then me, is not worthy of me: and he that loueth sonne or daughter more then me, is not worthy of me. |
| 10:38 | And he that taketh not his crosse, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. |
| 10:39 | He that findeth his life, shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake, shall find it. |
| 10:40 | He that receiueth you, receiueth me: and he that receiueth mee, receiueth him that sent me. |
| 10:41 | He that receiueth a Prophet in the name of a Prophet, shall receiue a Prophets reward: and he that receiueth a righteous man, in the name of a righteous man, shal receiue a righteous mans reward. |
| 10:42 | And whosoeuer shall giue to drinke vnto one of these litle ones, a cup of cold water onely, in the name of a disciple, verily I say vnto you, hee shall in no wise lose his reward. |

| 10:7 | Go and preach, sayinge: The kyngdome of heue is at hande. |
| 10:8 | Heale the sicke, clense the lepers rayse the deed, cast out the deuils. Frely ye haue receaued, frely geue againe. |
| 10:9 | Posses not golde, nor siluer, nor brasse yn youre gerdels, |
| 10:10 | nor yet scrip towardes your iorney: nether two cotes, nether shues, nor yet a staffe. For the workman is worthy of his meate. |
| 10:11 | In to whatsoeuer cite or towne ye shall come, enquyre in it, who is mete for you, and there abyde, tyll ye go thence. |
| 10:12 | And whe ye come in to an house, salute ye same. |
| 10:13 | And yf the housse be mete for you, yor peace shal come vpo it. But yf it be not mete for you, yor peace shal turne to you againe. |
| 10:14 | And yf no man wil receaue you, ner heare youre preachinge, departe out of that house or that cite, and shake the dust of youre fete. |
| 10:15 | Truly I saye vnto you: it shall be easyer for ye londe of Sodoma and Gomorra in ye daye of iudgment, then for that cite. |
| 10:16 | Beholde, I sende you forth as shepe amoge wolues. Be ye therfore wyse as serpentes, and innocent as doues. |
| 10:17 | Beware of men, for they shall deliuer you vp to the cousels, and shal scourge you in their synagoges. |
| 10:18 | And ye shall be brought before prynces and kynges for my sake, in witnes to them and to the gentyls. |
| 10:19 | But when they delyuer you vp, take no thought how or what ye shall speake, for yt shalbe geuen you, euen in that same houre, what ye shall saye. |
| 10:20 | For it is not ye that speake, but the sprete of your father which speaketh in you. |
| 10:21 | The brother shall delyuer the brother to deeth, and the father the sonne. And the chyldren shall aryse agaynst their fathers & mothers, & shall helpe them to deeth: |
| 10:22 | & ye shall be hated of all men for my names sake. But he yt endureth to the ende, shalbe saued. |
| 10:23 | When they persecute you in one cite, flye in to another. I tell you for a treuth, ye shall not fynysshe all the cities of Israel, tyll the sonne of man come. |
| 10:24 | The disciple is not aboue the master, nether the seruaunt aboue the LORDE. |
| 10:25 | It is ynough for the disciple, to be as his master, and the seruaunt as his LORDE. Yf they haue called the good ma of the house Beelzebub, how moch more shal they call them of his housholde so? |
| 10:26 | Feare them not therfore.There is nothinge hyd, that shal not be openly shewed: and nothinge secrete, that shall not be knowne. |

| 10:28 | And feare ye not them that kyll the body, and be not able to kyll the soule. But rather feare hi, which is able to destroye both soule and body in to hell. |

| 10:7 | And go ye, and preche ye, and seie, that the kyngdam of heuenes shal neiye; |
| 10:8 | heele ye sike men, reise ye deede men, clense ye mesels, caste ye out deuelis; freeli ye han takun, freli yyue ye. |
| 10:9 | Nyle ye welde gold, nether siluer, ne money in youre girdlis, not a scrippe in the weie, |
| 10:10 | nether twei cootis, nethir shoon, nether a yerde; for a werkman is worthi his mete. |
| 10:11 | In to what euere citee or castel ye schulen entre, axe ye who therynne is worthi, and there dwelle ye, til ye go out. |
| 10:12 | And whanne ye goon in to an hous, `grete ye it, and seyn, Pees to this hous. |
| 10:13 | And if thilk hous be worthi, youre pees schal come on it; but if that hous be not worthi, youre pees schal turne ayen to you. |
| 10:14 | And who euere resseyueth not you, nethir herith youre wordis, go ye fro that hous or citee, and sprenge of the dust of youre feet. |
| 10:15 | Treuly Y seie to you, it shal be more suffrable to the loond of men of Sodom and of Gommor in the dai of iugement, than to thilke citee. |
| 10:16 | Lo! Y sende you as scheep in the myddil of wolues; therfor be ye sliy as serpentis, and symple as dowues. |
| 10:17 | But be ye war of men, for thei schulen take you in counseilis, and thei schulen bete you in her synagogis; |
| 10:18 | and to meyris, or presidentis, and to kyngis, ye schulen be lad for me, in witnessyng to hem, and to the hethen men. |
| 10:19 | But whanne thei take you, nyle ye thenke, hou or what thing ye schulen speke, for it shal be youun `to you in that our, what ye schulen speke; |
| 10:20 | for it ben not ye that speken, but the spirit of youre fadir, that spekith in you. |
| 10:21 | `And the brother shal take the brother in to deeth, and the fader the sone, and sones schulen rise ayens fadir and modir, and schulen turmente hem bi deeth. |
| 10:22 | And ye schulen be in hate to alle men for my name; but he that shall dwelle stille in to the ende, shal be saaf. |
| 10:23 | And whanne thei pursuen you in this citee, fle ye in to anothir. Treuli Y seie to you, ye schulen not ende the citees of Israel, to for that mannus sone come. |
| 10:24 | The disciple is not aboue the maistir, ne the seruaunt aboue hys lord; |
| 10:25 | it is ynowy to the disciple, that he be as his maistir, and to the seruaunt as his lord. If thei han clepid the hosebonde man Belsabub, hou myche more his houshold meyne? |
| 10:26 | Therfor drede ye not hem; for no thing is hid, that schal not be shewid; and no thing is priuey, that schal not be wist. |
| 10:27 | That thing that Y seie to you in derknessis, seie ye in the liyt; and preche ye on housis, that thing that ye heeren in the ere. |
| 10:28 | And nyle ye drede hem that sleen the bodi; for thei moun not sle the soule; but rather drede ye hym, that mai lese bothe soule and bodi in to helle. |
| 10:29 | Whether twei sparewis ben not seeld for an halpeny? and oon of hem shal not falle on the erthe with outen youre fadir. |
| 10:30 | `And alle the heeris of youre heed ben noumbrid. |
| 10:31 | nyle ye drede; ye ben betere than many sparewis. |
| 10:32 | Therfor euery man that schal knouleche me bifore men, Y schal knouleche hym bifor my fadir that is in heuenes. |
| 10:33 | But he that shal denye me bifor men, and I shal denye him bifor my fadir that is in heuenes. |
| 10:34 | Nile ye deme, that Y cam to sende pees in to erthe; Y cam not to sende pees, but swerd. |
| 10:35 | For Y cam to departe a man ayens his fadir, and the douytir ayens hir modir, and the sones wijf ayens the housbondis modir; |
| 10:36 | and the enemyes of a man ben `thei, that ben homeli with him. |
| 10:37 | He that loueth fadir or modir more than me, is not worthi to me. And he that loueth sone or douyter ouer me, is not worthi to me. |
| 10:38 | And he that takith not his croos, and sueth me, is not worthi to me. |
| 10:39 | He that fyndith his lijf, shal lose it; and he that lesith his lijf for me, shal fynde it. |
| 10:40 | He that resseyueth you, resseyueth me; and he that resseyueth me, resseyueth hym that sente me. |
| 10:41 | He that resseyueth a prophete in the name of a prophete, shal take the mede of a prophete. And he that resseyueth a iust man in the name of a iust man, schal take the mede of a iust man. |
