10:1And hee called his twelue disciples vnto him, and gaue them power against vncleane spirits, to cast them out, and to heale euery sickenesse, and euery disease.
10:2Nowe the names of the twelue Apostles are these. The first is Simon, called Peter, and Andrew his brother: Iames the sonne of Zebedeus, and Iohn his brother.
10:3Philippe and Bartlemewe: Thomas, and Matthewe that Publicane: Iames the sonne of Alpheus, and Lebbeus whose surname was Thaddeus:
10:4Simon the Cananite, and Iudas Iscariot, who also betraied him.
10:5These twelue did Iesus send forth, and commanded them, saying, Goe not into the way of of the Gentiles, and into the cities of the Samaritans enter yee not:
10:6But goe rather to the lost sheepe of the house of Israel.
10:7And as ye goe, preach, saying, The kingdome of heauen is at hand.
10:8Heale the sicke: cleanse the lepers: raise vp the dead: cast out the deuils. Freely ye haue receiued, freely giue.
10:9Possesse not golde, nor siluer, nor money in your girdels,
10:10Nor a scrippe for the iourney, neither two coates, neither shoes, nor a staffe: for the workeman is worthie of his meate.
10:11And into whatsoeuer citie or towne ye shall come, enquire who is worthy in it, and there abide till yee goe thence.
10:12And when yee come into an house, salute the same.
10:13And if the house be worthy, let your peace come vpon it: but if it be not worthie, let your peace returne to you.
10:14And whosoeuer shall not receiue you, nor heare your woordes, when yee depart out of that house, or that citie, shake off the dust of your feete.
10:15Truely I say vnto you, it shall be easier for them of the lande of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of iudgement, then for that citie.
10:16Behold, I send you as sheepe in the middes of the wolues: be yee therefore wise as serpents, and innocent as doues.
10:17But beware of men, for they will deliuer you vp to the Councils, and will scourge you in their Synagogues.
10:18And ye shall be brought to the gouernours and Kings for my sake, in witnes to them, and to the Gentiles.
10:19But when they deliuer you vp, take no thought howe or what ye shall speake: for it shall be giuen you in that houre, what ye shall say.
10:20For it is not yee that speake, but the spirite of your father which speaketh in you.
10:21And the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the sonne, and the children shall rise against their parents, and shall cause them to die.
10:22And yee shall be hated of all men for my Name: but he that endureth to the end, he shall be saued.
10:23And when they persecute you in this citie, flee into another: for verely I say vnto you, yee shall not goe ouer all the cities of Israel, till the Sonne of man be come.
10:24The disciple is not aboue his master, nor the seruant aboue his Lord.
10:25It is ynough for the disciple to bee as his master is, and the seruaunt as his Lord. If they haue called the master of the house Beel-zebub, howe much more them of his housholde?
10:26Feare them not therefore: for there is nothing couered, that shall not be disclosed, nor hid, that shall not be knowen.
10:27What I tell you in darkenesse, that speake yee in light: and what yee heare in the eare, that preach yee on the houses.
10:28And feare yee not them which kill the bodie, but are nor able to kill the soule: but rather feare him, which is able to destroy both soule and bodie in hell.
10:29Are not two sparrowes sold for a farthing, and one of them shall not fal on the ground without your Father?
10:30Yea, and all the heares of your head are nombred.
10:31Feare ye not therefore, yee are of more value then many sparowes.
10:32Whosoeuer therefore shall confesse me before men, him will I confesse also before my Father which is in heauen.
10:33But whosoeuer shall denie me before me, him will I also denie before my Father which is in heauen.
10:34Thinke not that I am come to sende peace into the earth: I came not to send peace, but the sworde.
10:35For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in lawe.
10:36And a mans enemies shall be they of his owne housholde.
10:37He that loueth father or mother more then me, is not worthie of me. And he that loueth sonne, or daughter more then mee, is not worthie of me.
10:38And hee that taketh not his crosse, and followeth after me, is not worthie of me.
10:39He that will finde his life, shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake, shall finde it.
10:40He that receiueth you, receiueth me: and hee that receiueth mee, receiueth him that hath sent me.
10:41Hee that receiueth a Prophet in the name of a Prophet, shall receiue a Prophetes rewarde: and hee that receiueth a righteous man, in the name of a righteous man, shall receiue the rewarde of a righteous man.
10:42And whosoeuer shall giue vnto one of these litle ones to drinke a cuppe of colde water onely, in the name of a disciple, verely I say vnto you, he shall not lose his rewarde.

10:1And he called his .xii. disciples vnto hym and gave them power over vnclene sprites to cast them oute and to heale all maner of sicknesses and all maner of deseases.
10:2The names of the .xii. Apostles are these. The fyrst Simon called also Peter: and Andrew his brother. Iames the sonne of zebede aud Ihon his brother.
10:3Philip and Bartlemew. Thomas and Mathew the Publican. Iames the sonne of Alphe and Lebbeus otherwyse called Taddeus.
10:4Simon of Cane and Iudas Iscarioth which also betrayed hym.
10:5These .xii. sent Iesus and comaunded them sayinge: Go not in to ye wayes yt leade to the gentyls and in to ye cities of ye Samaritans enter ye not.
10:6But go rather to ye lost shepe of the housse of Israel.
10:7Go and preach sayinge: yt the kyngdome of heve is at hande.
10:8Heale the sicke clense the lepers rayse the deed caste oute the devils. Frely ye have receved frely geve agayne.
10:9Posses not golde nor silver nor brassse yn youre gerdels
10:10nor yet scrip towardes your iorney: nether two cotes nether shues nor yet a staffe. For the workma is worthy to have his meate.
10:11In to whatsoever cite or toune ye shall come enquyre who ys worthy yn it and there abyde till ye goo thence.
10:12And whe ye come in to an housse salute ye same.
10:13And yf the housse be worthy youre peace shall come apon it. But yf it be not worthy youre peace shall retourne to you agayne.
10:14And whosoever shall not receave you nor will heare youre preachynge: when ye departe oute of yt housse or that cite shake of the duste of youre fete.
10:15Truly I say vnto you: it shalbe easier for the londe of zodoma and Gomorra in the daye of iudgement then for that cite.
10:16Beholde I sende you forthe as shepe amoge wolves. Be ye therfore wyse as serpetes and innocent as doves.
10:17Beware of men for they shall deliver you vp to ye cousels and shall scourge you in their synagoges.
10:18And ye shall be brought to the heed rulers and kynges for my sake in witnes to them and to the gentyls.
10:19But when they delyver you vp take no thought how or what ye shall speake for yt shalbe geve you eve in that same houre what ye shall saye.
10:20For it is not ye that speke but ye sprite of your father which speaketh in you.
10:21The brother shall betraye the brother to deeth and the father the sonne. And the chyldre shall aryse agaynste their fathers and mothers and shall put them to deethe:
10:22and ye shall be hated of all me for my name. But he that endureth to the ende shalbe saved.
10:23When they persecute you in one cite flye in to another. I tell you for a treuth ye shall not fynysshe all yt cities of Israel tyll ye sonne of man be come.
10:24The disciple ys not above hys master: nor yet ye servaut above his lorde.
10:25It is ynough for the disciple to be as hys master ys and that the servaunt be as his lorde ys. yf they have called the lorde of the housse beelzebub: how moche more shall they call them of his housholde so?
10:26Feare the not therfore. There is no thinge so close that shall not be openned and no thinge so hyd that shall not be knowen.
10:27What I tell you in dercknes that speake ye in lyght. And what ye heare in the eare that preache ye on the housse toppes.
10:28And feare ye not them which kyll the body and be not able to kyll the soule. But rather feare hym which is able to destroye bothe soule and body into hell.
10:29Are not two sparowes solde for a farthinge? And none of them dothe lyght on the grounde with out youre father.
10:30And now are all the heeris of youre heedis numbred.
10:31Feare ye not therfore: ye are of more value then many sparowes.
10:32Who soever therfore shall knowledge me before men hym will I knowledge also before my father which is in heuen.
10:33But whoso ever shall denye me before men hym will I also denye before my father which is in heven.
10:34Thynke not that I am come to sende peace into the erth. I came not to send peace but a swearde.
10:35For I am come to set a man at varyaunce ageynst hys father and the doughter ageynst hyr mother and the doughterlawe ageynst her motherlawe:
10:36And a mannes fooes shalbe they of hys owne housholde.
10:37He that lovith hys father or mother more then me is not mete for me. And he that loveth his sonne or doughter more then me is not mete for me.
10:38And he yt taketh not his crosse and foloweth me ys not mete for me.
10:39He that fyndeth hys lyfe shall lose it: and he that losith hys lyfe for my sake shall fynde it.
10:40He that receavith you receavith me: and he that receavith me receavith him that sent me.
10:41He that receavith a prophet in ye name of a prophet shall receave a prophetes rewarde. And he that receavith a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receave the rewarde of a righteous man.
10:42And whosoever shall geve vnto one of these lytle ones to drincke a cuppe of colde water only in the name of a disciple: I tel you of a trueth he shall not lose his rewarde.
