9:1	Þa astah he on scyp & ofer-seglede & com on his ceastre
9:2	þa brohten hyo hym enne lamen on bedde liggend. þa ge-seah se hælend heora ge-leafan. ænd cwæð to þam lamen. la barn ge-lef. þe beoð þine synne for-gefene.
9:3	Ða cwæðen sume þa bokeres heom beo-twenen. Þes specð bismere-spræce.
9:4	þa se hælend ge-seah hire ge-þanc. þa cwæð he. to hwi þence ge yfel on eowren heorten.
9:5	hwæt ys eaðlicere to cweðenne þe beoð forgefene þine synna. oððe to cweðene aris & ga.
9:6	þæt ge soðlice witon þæt mannes sunu hafð anwald on eorþan synnen to for-gefene. þa cwæð he to þam lamen aris nym þin bed. & gang on þin hus.
9:7	& he aras & ferde to his huse.
9:8	Soðlice þa þa syo manige þis ge-seagen. þa on-dredden hyo heom & wuldredon god þe sealde swilcne anweald mannen.
9:9	Þa se hælend þanen ferde. he ge-seah enne mann sittende æt tol-scamele. þas name wæs matheus. & he cwæð to hym. gefelge me. & he aras & felgide him.
9:10	& hit wæs ge-worðen. þa he sæt innen huse & þa coman manega manfulle. & synfulle. & sæten mid þam hælende & hys leorning-cnihten.
9:11	Ða þa sinder-halgan þis ge-sægen. þa cweðen hyo to his leorning-cnihten. hwi is eower lareow mid sinfullen & manfullen.
9:12	& se hælend cweð þe þis ge-hyrde. Nis halen læches nan þarf. ac seoken.
9:13	gad soðlice & leornieð hwæt is. ich wille mildhertnysse næs onsægdnisse. Soðlice ne com ich rihtwise to ge-cheigene ac þa synfulle.
9:14	Ða ge-neahlahten iohannes leorning-cnihtes to him. & þus cwæðen. hwi feste we. & þa sunder-halgan ge-lomliche. Sodlice þine leorning-cnihtes ne fæsteð.
9:15	Se hælend cwæð to heom. Cweðe ge sculon þas bredguman cnihtas wepan þa hwile þe se bredgume mid heom beoð. Soðlice þa dages cumeð þe se bredgume byð aferred fram heom. & þanne on þan dagen hyo fæsted.
9:16	Ne deð witodlice nan man niwes claðes scyp on eald reaf. he to-bræcð his stede on þa reafe. & se scyte (sic) beoð þa werse.
9:17	Ne hyo ne doð niwe win on ealde bytton gyf hyo doð. þa bytton beoð to-brokene. & þt win agoten. & þa bytton for-wurðeð. Ac hyo doð niwe win on niwe bytten & ægðer beoð ge-healden.
9:18	Þa he þas þing to heom spræc þa genehlahte an aldor & ge-eadmede hine þus cweðende. Drihten min dohter ys dead. Ac cum & sete þine hand up-on hyo & hye lefeð.
9:19	& se hælend aras. & felgede hym. & his leorning-cnihtes.
9:20	Ænd þa an wif þe þolede blod-rine twelf gear ge-neahlahte wið-æften. & æt-ran his reafes fned.
9:21	hyo cwæð soðlice on hire mode. for an ich byo hal gyf ich his reafes æt-rine.
9:22	& se hælend be-wende hine & hyo ge-seah & cwæð. Ge-lyf dohter þin ge-leafe þe helde. & þæt wif wæs ge-hæled on þare tide.
9:23	Ænd þa se hælend com in-to þas ealdres halle. & he geseah hwistleres & hlydende menigeo.
9:24	he cwæð. Gað heonen. nis þis mægdon dead. soðlice ac hyo slæpð. & hye teldan hine.
9:25	& he þa menigeo ut-draf. he geode in. & nam hire hand. & þt mægden aras.
9:26	& þes hlisa sprang ofer al þæt land.
9:27	Ða se hælend þanen for. þa fylgdon hym twegen blinde remende & cweðende. Lä dauiðes sunu ge-miltse unc.
9:28	Soðlice þa he ham com. þa blinde ge-neahlahte hym to. & se hælend cwæð to heom. ge-lyfe gyt þæt ich eow maig ge-hælen. Hyo cwæðen to hym witodlice drihten.
9:29	þa æt-ran he heora eagen cweðende syo inc æfter yncre ge-leafen.
9:30	& heora eagen wæren untynde. & se hælend be-bead heom cweðende. warnieð þæt ge hyt nane men ne seggen.
9:31	Hyo soðlice ut-gangende ge-wið-mærsedon hine ofer eal þt land.
9:32	Þa hyo wæron soðlice ut-äganne. hyo brohten him dumbne man se wæs deofel-seoc.
9:33	& ut-adrifene þam deofle se dumbe spræc. & þa menigeo wundredon cweðende. Næfre ateowede swilc on israele folke.
9:34	Soðlice þa sunder-halgene cwæðen on deofla ealdre he drifð ut deofle.
9:35	Ænd se hælend emb-for ealle burga ænd chestra lærende on hire samnunge & bodiende Note: MS. bodiendiende. rices godspel. & hælende ælche adle. & ælche untrumnysse.
9:36	He gemiltsede soðlice þare manigeo. þa he hyo geseah. forþan hyo wæren ä-dreahte & liggende swa swa scep þe heorde næbbeð.
9:37	Ða he sægde his leorning-cnihton. witodlice mycel rip ys. & feawe ripmen.
9:38	biddað þas ripes hlaford þt he sende ripten (sic) to his ripe.


9:1	Then hee entred into a shippe, and passed ouer, and came into his owne citie.
9:2	And loe, they brought to him a man sicke of the palsie, laid on a bed. And Iesus seeing their faith, saide to the sicke of the palsie, Sonne, be of good comfort: thy sinnes are forgiuen thee.
9:3	And beholde, certaine of the Scribes saide with themselues, This man blasphemeth.
9:4	But when Iesus saw their thoughts, he said, Wherefore thinke yee euil things in your hearts?
9:5	For whether is it easier to say, Thy sinnes are forgiuen thee, or to say, Arise, and walke?
9:6	And that ye may knowe that the Sonne of man hath authoritie in earth to forgiue sinnes, (then saide he vnto the sicke of the palsie,) Arise, take vp thy bed, and goe to thine house.
9:7	And hee arose, and departed to his owne house.
9:8	So when the multitude sawe it, they marueiled, and glorified God, which had giuen such authoritie to men.
9:9	And as Iesus passed foorth from thence, hee sawe a man sitting at the custome, named Matthewe, and saide to him, Followe me. And he arose, and followed him.
9:10	And it came to passe, as Iesus sate at meate in his house, beholde, many Publicanes and sinners, that came thither, sate downe at the table with Iesus and his disciples.
9:11	And when the Pharises sawe that, they saide to his disciples, Why eateth your master with Publicanes and sinners?
9:12	Nowe when Iesus heard it, hee sayde vnto them, The whole neede not a Physition, but they that are sicke.
9:13	But goe yee and learne what this is, I will haue mercie, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but the sinners to repentance.
9:14	Then came the disciples of Iohn to him, saying, Why doe we and the Pharises fast oft, and thy disciples fast not?
9:15	And Iesus saide vnto them, Can the children of the marriage chamber mourne as long as the bridegrome is with them? But the daies will come, when the bridegrome shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
9:16	Moreouer no man pieceth an olde garment with a piece of newe cloth: for that that should fill it vp, taketh away from the garment, and the breach is worse.
9:17	Neither doe they put newe wine into olde vessels: for then the vessels would breake, and the wine woulde be spilt, and the vessels shoulde perish: but they put new wine into newe vessels, and so are both preserued.
9:18	While hee thus spake vnto them, beholde, there came a certaine ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is nowe deceased, but come and laie thine hande on her, and shee shall liue.
9:19	And Iesus arose and followed him with his disciples.
9:20	(And beholde, a woman which was diseased with an issue of blood twelue yeres, came behinde him, and touched the hemme of his garment.
9:21	For shee saide in her selfe, If I may touche but his garment onely, I shalbe whole.
9:22	Then Iesus turned him about, and seeing her, did say, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole at that same moment.)
9:23	Nowe when Iesus came into the Rulers house, and saw the minstrels and the multitude making noise,
9:24	He said vnto them, Get you hence: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorne.
9:25	And when the multitude were put foorth, hee went in and tooke her by the hande, and the maide arose.
9:26	And this bruite went throughout all that lande.
9:27	And as Iesus departed thence, two blinde men followed him, crying, and saying, O sonne of Dauid, haue mercie vpon vs.
9:28	And when hee was come into the house, the blinde came to him, and Iesus saide vnto them, Beleeue yee that I am able to doe this? And they sayd vnto him, Yea, Lord.
9:29	Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it vnto you.
9:30	And their eyes were opened, and Iesus gaue them great charge, saying, See that no man knowe it.
9:31	But when they were departed, they spread abroad his fame throughout all that land.
9:32	And as they went out, beholde, they brought to him a domme man possessed with a deuill.
9:33	And when the deuill was cast out, the domme spake: then the multitude marueiled, saying, The like was neuer seene in Israel.
9:34	But the Pharises saide, He casteth out deuils, through the prince of deuils.
9:35	And Iesus went about all cities and townes, teaching in their Synagogues, and preaching the Gospel of the kingdome, and healing euery sickenesse and euery disease among the people.
9:36	But when he saw the multitude, he had compassion vpon them, because they were dispersed, and scattered abroade, as sheepe hauing no shepheard.
9:37	Then saide he to his disciples, Surely the haruest is great, but the labourers are fewe.
9:38	Wherefore pray the Lord of the haruest, that he woulde sende foorth labourers into his haruest.

9:2	And lo they brought to him a ma sicke of ye palsie lyinge in his bed. And when Iesus sawe ye faith of the he sayd to the sicke of ye palsie: sonne be of good chere thy sinnes be forgeve the.
9:3	And beholde certeyne of ye scribes sayd in the selves this ma blasphemeth.
9:4	And whe Iesus sawe their thoughtes he sayd: wherfore thinke ye evill in youre hertes?
9:5	Whether ys esyer to saye thy synnes be forgeven ye or to saye: arise and walke?
9:6	That ye maye knowe that ye sonne of ma hath power to forgeve sinnes in erth then sayd he vnto ye sicke of ye palsye: arise take vp thy beed and go home to thine housse.
9:7	And he arose and departed to his awne housse.
9:8	And when ye people sawe it they marveyled and glorified god which had geve suche power to me.
9:9	And as Iesus passed forth fro thence he sawe a ma syt a receyuinge of custome named Mathew and sayd to him: folowe me.
9:10	And he arose and folowed him. And it came to passe as he sat at meate in the housse: beholde many publicans and synners came and sate downe also with Iesus and hys disciples.
9:11	When the Pharises sawe that they sayd to hys disciples: why eateth youre master wt publicans and synners?
9:12	When Iesus herde that he sayde vnto them: The whole neade not the phisicion but they that are sicke.
9:13	Goo and learne what that meaneth: I have pleasure in mercy and not in offerynge. For I am not come to call the rightewes but the synners to repentaunce.
9:14	Then came ye disciples of Ihon to hym sayinge: why do we and the Pharises fast ofte: but thy disciples fast not?
9:15	And Iesus sayde vnto them: Can ye weddynge chyldren morne as longe as ye bridegrome is wt them? The tyme will come whe the bridegrome shalbe take fro them and then shall they faste.
9:16	Noo man peceth and olde garment with a pece of newe cloothe. For then taketh he awaye ye pece agayne from the garmet and the rent ys made greater.
9:17	Nether do men put newe wyne into olde vessels for then the vessels breake and the wyne runneth oute and the vessels perysshe. But they powre newe wyne into newe vessels and so are both saved togeder.
9:18	Whyls he thus spake vnto the beholde ther came a certayne ruler and worshipped him sayinge: my doghter is euen now deceased but come and lay thy honde on her and she shall live.
9:19	And Iesus arose and folowed hym with hys disciples.
9:20	And beholde a woman which was diseased wt an yssue of bloude .xii. yeres came behynde hym and toched ye hem of hys vesture.
9:21	For she sayd in her silfe: yf I maye toche but even his vesture only I shalbe safe.
9:22	Then Iesus tourned him about and behelde her sayinge: Doughter be of good conforte thy faith hath made the safe. And she was made whole even that same houre.
9:23	And when Iesus came into ye rulers housse and sawe the minstrels and the people raginge
9:24	he sayde vnto them: Get you hence for ye mayde is not deed but slepeth. And they laughed hym to scorne.
9:25	Assone as ye people were put forthe he went in and toke her by ye hond and the mayde arose.
9:26	And this was noysed through out all that lande.
9:27	And as Iesus departed thence two blynde men folowed hym crying and saying: O thou sonne of David have mercy on vs.
9:28	And when he was come to housse the blynd came to hym And Iesus sayde vnto them: Beleve ye that I am able to do thys? And they sayde vnto hym: ye Lorde.
9:29	Then touched he their eyes saying: acordynge to youre faythe be it vnto you.
9:30	And their eyes were opened. And Iesus charged the saying: Se yt no man knowe of it.
9:31	But they assone as they were departed spreed abroade his name through oute all the londe.
9:32	As they went out beholde they brought to hym a dome ma possessed af a devyll.
9:33	And as sone as the devyll was cast oute the domme spake: And the people merveled sayinge: it was never so sene in Israel.
9:34	But the Pharises sayde: he casteth oute devyls by the power of the chefe devyll.
9:35	And Iesus went about all cities and tounes teachynge in their synagoges and preachyng the glad tidinges of ye kyngdome and healinge all maner sicknes and desease amoge ye people.
9:36	But when he sawe the people he had copassion on the because they were pyned awaye and scattered abroade eve as shepe havige no shepherd.
9:37	Then sayde he to hys disciples: the hervest is greate but the laborers are feawe.
9:38	Wherfore praye the Lorde of the harvest to sende forthe laborers into hys harvest.
