15:1	Ða comen to him fram ierusalem þa bokeras. & þa fariseisse. & cwæðen.
15:2	Hwi for-gymeð þine leorningcnihtas ure ealdran læge. ne þweað hy heore handen þanne hye mette þiggiað.
15:3	Þa andswerede se hælend heom. & hwi for-geme ge godes bebod for eowre lage.
15:4	witodlice god cwæð. wurþe þinne fæder & þine moder. & se þe weregeð his fader & his moder swelte he deaðe.
15:5	Soðlice ge cweðeð Note: MS. cweðed. swa hwilc swa sægð his fader & his moder. swa hwilc lac swa of me is fremeð Note: MS. fremed. þe.

15:10	& he þa þam manigen to-gædere clypedon þus cwæð. ge-hyreð & on-gyteð.
15:11	ne be-smit þanne man þæt on hys muð gæð. ac hine be-smït þæt of hys muþes heorte gæð.
15:12	Þa ge-neahlahten his leorning-cnihtas hym & cwæðan. Wast þu þt þa fariseiscan synde gedrefede þisen worden gehyrden.
15:13	Ða andswerede he heom ælc plantung þe min heofenlice fæder ne plantode byoð awyrt-waleð (sic).
15:14	Lateð hy. hy sinden blinde. & blindere ladtewes. Se blinde. gyf he blindne læt. hyo falleð bege on ænne pett.
15:15	Ða andswerede him petrus & cwæð. areche us þis bispel.
15:16	Þa andswerede he hym. & synd ge geot buton andgytte.
15:17	Ne on-gyte ge. þæt all þæt on þanne muð gæð. gæð on þa wambe. & byð on forðgan asended.
15:18	Soðlice þa þing þe of þam muðe gað cumeð of þare heorte. & þa besmitað þanne mann.
15:19	Of þare heorte cumeð þa yfele þankes. manslehtes unriht-hameðe. forleira. stale. lease gewitnesse. talliche word.
15:20	Ðis synde þa þing þe þanne man be-smyteð. Ne be-smyt þanne man þah he unwesscena hande ëte.
15:21	Ænd þa ferde se hælend þanen on tyrisce. & sydonisse endes.
15:22	& efne of þa chananeisscen gemæron clypede sum wif & cwæð. Drihten dauides sunu ge-miltse me. min dohter ys yfele mid deofle ge-dreht.
15:23	Þa ne ge-andswerede he hire. ða ge-neahlahton his leorning-cnihtas ænd hym to cwæðen. for-læt hyo for-þan hyo clypað æfter us.
15:24	Ða andswerede he. ne eom Note: MS. com. ich asend buton to þam scepan þe for-wurðen of israele huse.
15:25	Ða com hyo & hyo to hym ge-bæd. & þus .quoth. Drihten ge-fylst me.
15:26	Ða cwæð he. nis hit na god þt man nyme beornan hlæf. & hunden weorpan.
15:27	Ða cwæð hyo. Drihton þæt ys soð. Witodliche þa hwelpas æteð þa cruman þe of heora hlaferdes beodan falleð.
15:28	Ða andswerede drihten hyre. Eala þu wif mychel is þin ge-leafe. ge-wurðe þe eall swa þu wille. & þa of þare tide wæs hire dohter hall geworðen.
15:29	Ða se hælend þanen ferde. eft he com wið þa galileisscan sæ. & ästah on þanne munt. & þær sæt.
15:30	Þa genehlahten him to michele menige hæbbende mid heom manega healte & blinde & samhale & manega oðre. & aleigdon to hys foten. & he ge-hælde þa.
15:31	þæt þa maniga wundredon ge-seonde. dumbe spekende. healte gangende. blinde ge-seonde. & hyo marseden israele god.
15:32	Þa cwæð se hælend to-gadere ge-clypedon his leorning-cnihton. Ðisse manigeo ich gemiltsige for-þan hyo ðry dages mid me wunedon. & hyo næbbeð hwæt hyo eatan. & ich hyo nelle festende for-læten. þi-læs hyo on weige teorian.
15:33	Ða cwæðen hys leorning-cnihtes. hwær nime we swa fele hlafe on þis westene þt we gefyllen swa mychele manigeo.
15:34	Þa cweð he. hu fele hlafe hæbbe ge. Ða cwæðen hyo. Seofona & feawe fisca.
15:35	Ænd he be-bead þa. þæt syo manigeo sæte ofer þare eorðan.
15:36	Ænd he nam þa. þa seofe hlafes. & þa fixsas. & bræc. & sealde his leorning-cnihten. & hyo sealden þam folke.
15:37	& hyo æten ealle. & wæren ge-fyllede. & þæt to lafe wæs of þam broccan hyo naman seofan wilian fulle.
15:38	Witodlice þa þær æten wæren feower þusend manne buton childen & wifen.
15:39	& he for-let þa þa manigeo & eode on scyp. & com on þa ændes magedon.


15:1	Then came to Iesus the Scribes and Pharises, which were of Hierusalem, saying,
15:2	Why do thy disciples transgresse the tradition of the Elders? for they wash not their hands when they eate bread.
15:3	But he answered and said vnto them, Why doe yee also transgresse the commandement of God by your tradition?
15:4	For God hath commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and he that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
15:5	But ye say, Whosoeuer shall say to father or mother, By the gift that is offered by me, thou maiest haue profite,
15:6	Though hee honour not his father, or his mother, shalbe free: thus haue ye made the commandement of God of no aucthoritie by your tradition.
15:7	O hypocrites, Esaias prophecied well of you, saying,
15:8	This people draweth neere vnto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with the lips, but their heart is farre off from me.
15:9	But in vaine they worship me, teaching for doctrines, mens precepts.
15:10	Then hee called the multitude vnto him, and said to them, Heare and vnderstand.
15:11	That which goeth into the mouth, defileth not the man, but that which commeth out of the mouth, that defileth the man.
15:12	Then came his disciples, and saide vnto him, Perceiuest thou not, that the Pharises are offended in hearing this saying?
15:13	But hee answered and saide, Euery plant which mine heauenly Father hath not planted, shalbe rooted vp.
15:14	Let them alone, they be the blinde leaders of the blinde: and if the blinde leade ye blinde, both shall fall into the ditche.
15:15	Then answered Peter, and said to him, Declare vnto vs this parable.
15:16	Then said Iesus, Are ye yet without vnderstanding?
15:17	Perceiue ye not yet, that whatsoeuer entreth into the mouth, goeth into the bellie, and is cast out into the draught?
15:18	But those thinges which proceede out of the mouth, come from the heart, and they defile the man.
15:19	For out of the heart come euil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false testimonies, slaunders.
15:20	These are the things, which defile the man: but to eat with vnwashen hands, defileth not ye man.
15:21	And Iesus went thence, and departed into the coastes of Tyrus and Sidon.
15:22	And beholde, a woman a Cananite came out of the same coasts, and cried, saying vnto him, Haue mercie on me, O Lord, the sonne of Dauid: my daughter is miserably vexed with a deuil.
15:23	But hee answered her not a worde. Then came to him his disciples, and besought him, saying, Sende her away, for she crieth after vs.
15:24	But he answered, and said, I am not sent, but vnto the lost sheepe of the house of Israel.
15:25	Yet she came, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, helpe me.
15:26	And he answered, and said, It is not good to take the childrens bread, and to cast it to whelps.
15:27	But she said, Trueth, Lord: yet in deede the whelpes eate of the crommes, which fall from their masters table.
15:28	Then Iesus answered, and saide vnto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it to thee, as thou desirest. And her daughter was made whole at that houre.
15:29	So Iesus went away from thence, and came neere vnto the sea of Galile, and went vp into a mountaine and sate downe there.
15:30	And great multitudes came vnto him, hauing with them, halt, blinde, dumme, maymed, and many other, and cast them downe at Iesus feete, and he healed them.
15:31	In so much that the multitude wondered, to see the dumme speake, the maimed whole, the halt to goe, and the blinde to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.
15:32	Then Iesus called his disciples vnto him, and said, I haue compassion on this multitude, because they haue continued with mee already three dayes, and haue nothing to eate: and I wil not let them depart fasting, least they faint in the way.
15:33	And his disciples saide vnto him, Whence should we get so much bread in the wildernes, as should suffice so great a multitude!
15:34	And Iesus said vnto them, How many loaues haue ye? And they said, Seuen, and a few litle fishes.
15:35	Then he commanded the multitude to sit downe on the ground,
15:36	And tooke the seuen loaues, and the fishes, and gaue thankes, and brake them, and gaue to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
15:37	And they did all eate, and were sufficed: and they tooke vp of the fragments that remained, seuen baskets full.
15:38	And they that had eaten, were foure thousand men, beside women, and litle children.
15:39	Then Iesus sent away the multitude, and tooke ship, and came into the partes of Magdala.


15:1	Then came to Iesus scribes and pharises from Ierusalem sayinge:
15:2	why do thy disciples transgresse the tradicios of ye elders? for they wesshe not their hondes when they eate breed.
15:3	He answered and sayde vnto them: why do ye also transgresse ye comaundment of God thorowe youre tradicions?
15:4	For God comaunded sayinge: honoure thy father and mother and he that cursseth father or mother shall suffer deeth.
15:5	But ye saye every ma shall saye to his father or mother: That which thou desyrest of me to helpe ye with: is geven God:
15:6	and so shall he not honoure his father or his mother. And thus haue ye made yt the comaundment of God is with out effecte through youre tradicios.
15:7	Ypocrites well prophesyed of you Esay sayinge:
15:8	This people draweth nye vnto me with their mouthes and honoureth me with their lippes howbe it their hertes are farre from me:
15:9	but in vayne they worshippe me teachinge doctrines whiche are nothing but mens precepts.
15:10	And he called the people vnto him and sayde to them: heare and vnderstande.
15:11	That which goeth into the mouth defyleth not ye man: but that which commeth out of the mouth defyleth the man.
15:12	Then came his disciples and sayde vnto him. Perceavest thou not how that the pharises are offended in hearinge thys sayinge?
15:13	He answered and sayde: all plantes which my hevely father hath not planted shalbe plucked vp by the rotes.
15:14	Let them alone they be the blynde leaders of the blynde. If the blynde leede the blynde boothe shall fall into the dyche.
15:15	Then answered Peter and sayd to him: declare vnto vs this parable.
15:16	Then sayde Iesus: are ye yet with oute vnderstondinge?
15:17	perceave ye not that what soever goeth in at the mouth descendeth doune in to the bely and is cast out into the draught?
15:18	But those thingis which procede out of the mouth come from the herte and they defyle the man.
15:19	For out of the herte come evyll thoughtis murder breakyng of wedlocke whordo theefte falce witnes berynge blasphemye.
15:20	These are the thingis which defyle a man. But to eate with vnwesshen hondes defyleth not a man.
15:21	And Iesus went thence and departed in to the costis of Tyre and Sidon.
15:22	And beholde a woman which was a Cananite came out of ye same coostis and cryed vnto him sayinge: have mercy on me Lorde the sonne of David my doughter is pytiously vexed with a devyll.
15:23	And he gave her never a worde to answer. Then came to him his disciples and besought him sayinge: sende her awaye for she foloweth vs cryinge.
15:24	He answered and sayde: I am not sent but vnto ye loost shepe of ye housse of Israel.
15:25	Then she came and worshipped him sayinge: master helpe me.
15:26	He answered and sayde: it is not good to take the chyldrens breed and to cast it to whelpes.
15:27	She answered and sayde: truthe Lorde: neverthelesse the whelpes eate of the cromes which fall from their masters table.
15:28	Then Iesus answered and sayde vnto her. O woman greate is thy faith be it to the even as thou desyrest. And her doughter was made whole even at that same houre.
15:29	Then Iesus went awaye from thence and came nye vnto the see of Galile and went vp in to a mountayne and sat doune there.
15:30	And moche people came vnto him havinge with the halt blynde domme maymed and other many: and cast them doune at Iesus fete. And he healed them
15:31	in so moche that the people wondred to se the dome speake the maymed whole the halt to go and ye blynde to se. And they glorified the God of Israel.
15:32	Then Iesus called his disciples to him and sayde: I have compassion on ye people becau se they have cotynued with me now .iii. dayes and have nought to eate: and I wyll not let them departe fastinge leste they perisshe in ye waye.
15:33	And his disciples sayd vnto him: whece shuld we get so moche breed in ye wildernes as shuld suffise so greate a multitude?
15:34	And Iesus sayde vnto them: how many loves have ye? And they sayde: seven and a feawe litle fysshes.
15:35	And he comaunded ye people to syt doune on ye grounde:
15:36	and toke the seven loves and the fysshes and gave thankes and brake them and gave to his disciples and the disciples gave them to the people.
15:37	And they dyd all eate and were suffised. And they toke vp of the broke meate that was lefte .vii. basketes full.
15:38	And yet they that ate were .iiii.M. men besyde wemen and chyldren.
15:39	And he sent awaye the people and toke shippe and came into the parties of Magdala.
